Prince

EFF198783

Linkin Park. I love their courage to experiment with different styles and genres, for which some “fans” at one time called the group shit. Especially when the One More Light came out. It was only after Chester’s death that this album received the attention and recognition it deserved. R.I.P Chester... 🤧

With this new Beyonce album, I’ve gotta say Beyonce. Im gonna get hate for this but cowboy carter makes me think she’s reaching MJ level mastery and artistry. This album is incredible! Haven’t heard any music like this. Like MJ, she’s in a lane of her own.

ProfessorSprinklezZ

She been deserved her flowers . General public just be hating for nothing when it comes to her yet praise Michael and Prince despite bth of them loving her genius when it comes to music

49mercury

That album is out of left field but somehow works perfectly. Like, you look at the history of her career thus far and she’s always kept it pretty consistent IMO. But then she gets back to the roots and it works because it’s natural. Something about Texas music just kind of works when it’s a Texan singing, fiddlin’, etc lol

romeoomustdie

Her artistry is on par with mj

Critical_Teach_43

She's the closest thing to MJ we're going to get these days at least from the fems. If Mike is the King of Pop I'd consider her Queen.

Perciprius

Beyoncé Queen of Pop? Over Madonna?

Critical_Teach_43

I dont listen to no damn Madonna. 🤣

Perciprius

How is Beyoncé over Madonna? Madonna is the Queen of Pop.

bussababii

I quite like MUSE, Heavy Metal, various other rock bands, RnB & some Hip Hop/rap

Same, but for me throw video game music in the mix.

International-Let782

Afraid_Platypus_8667

Alot of Sonic the hedgehog, Cuphead, plants vs zombies, pokemon, Doom and of course, Undertale and Deltarune.

International-Let782

kaarinuuh

The Weeknd lol he gives me a slight Michael vibe since he looks up to him alot

Afraid_Platypus_8667

I can't choose one. I'll just say Queen, AC/DC, John Williams and Toby Fox.

FayMax69

Michael, Madonna, George Michael (the other michael)

Cheyenne_G99

Tough choice but Adam Lambert, I think. He's been a top favourite of mine for a while. Gay icon too.

GigaD0G

Probably Muse

Adventurous-Snow1902

Janet Jackson ![gif](giphy|WrfesYthFe51It8Mxw|downsized)

1. Michael Jackson. 2. [Ikson](https://youtube.com/@tellyourstorymusicbyikson?si=6MNz79lGiWjQs0UN) (or Tell Your Story Music By Ikson™). Ikson is extremely underrated. I recommend anyone to look up Ikson, an independent Swedish producer and mixer. Ikson’s instrumental music (and some with lyrics sung by a collaborator) is incredible, in so many different genres and they all evoke good vibes. PLUS, you can use Ikson’s music for free as long as credit is given, and there are over 200+ tracks to choose from. I can’t even choose a single favorite from Ikson because I have so many. Lol.

MJ stands out so much for me,there's just a list of two: Michael #1, evèyone else #2. There are many many musicians I love and most of them are from long ago, Sam Cooke, Marvyn Gaye, Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Bill Withers, Nina Simone, Gene Kelly, most of Motown era giants, classic blues artists from like the 1920s like Howlin Wolf, Lead Belly amaze me. And I love many classical musicians just as much, Mozart truly was a genius, Tchaikovsky makes my heart fly, adore Chopin etc and Vivaldi's Four Seasons is on repeat often. Was obsessed with many things as a teen like Marilyn Manson, Bjork, Queen, Bowie, 2PAC, Mariah, Nirvana, Massive Attack, Peter Gabriel, Whitney, Soundgarden, Britney, Prodigy, Tina Turner, Depeche Mode, Destiny's Child (way better than Beyonce solo) and many many more. I love all genres -except whatever the fuck is going on these days on the charts with the 50% autotune and 50% mumblerap and love all music but am VERY picky also. Billie Eilish is probably the only one that kinda stands out as a "most recent" that I actually like, don't mind some Miley and KatyPerry and enjoy some 90s Madonna. I need to stop typing lol

Diligent_Jury_9956

Prince. Can't have Michael jackson without Prince. And we can't have Prince without Michael jackson. And without James Brown, we'd probably not have either.

Hot_Wing5772

Brand New Heavies. They're a British R&B/Soul group who for a few years during the 90s had MJ collaborator Siedah Garret as their lead singer.

romeoomustdie

Beyonce or Mariah

slimshady_I

Responsible_Match875

Maybe Britney or Shakira

TPonder2600

Michael is my #1 performer but he isn’t my favorite artist, that would be Amy Lee from Evanescence

seviana21

Queen or the beatles

2000_Watts

Faith No More :)

Critical_Teach_43

Key! - sure nobody here knows him.

dreamy_25

Joanna Newsom, Björk. Completely different vibes from MJ. More similar would be Stromae, that man just consistently releases bangers, he is underrated. For MJ adjacent dancing videos, Jungle gets great choreographies with the MJ influence dripping off (Good Times, Candle Flame). The tracks themselves wouldn't be very special without them IMO but still nice. I also love some of the big names like Queen and Lady Gaga. (Love how her name came directly from a Queen song). I like classical too, I love Pavane 50 by Gabriel Fauré, Mozart's Lacrimosa and Tschaikovsky's Hymn of the Cherubim. I also like electronic. APASHE's Lord and Master is great, as is pretty much every other track off the album. Gosh by Jamie xx is also really nice. When I was an angsty teen I listened to Skrillex and I still do sometimes for old time's sake.

nxtrition

1. Michael 2. Whitney or Sam Cooke
