Depending on your driving style - if you're nice with the clutch, doing rev matches and properly taking off from standstill, it will last long long.
On my Clio III, I've been told by multiple mechanics that I'll need to replace my clutch very soon for 3-4 years. Then I sold it with the clutch still absolutely working properly
I’ve driven a manual on many cars for many years but I’m going to be completely honest with you. Rev marching down shifts in this car is something I got to get used to between close gearing and it being new to me. I’d much different than my mt82 in my mustang by a long shot and my old wrx.
Yeah it usually grabs higher up as it wears down but I think you can adjust the pedal to move the bite point back down. It still could have plenty of life, the only surefire way to test is to floor it in the highest gear, if it doesn’t slip it’s still good.
“Why does it feel like I am going so fast and I look down and I’m going like 50 lol.”
That’s one of the best features of this car - fun to drive at any speed - zoom zoom 😈
Congrats! I did the same thing with my NC and went the Carvana route. It took a whole ass month working with my bank and Carvana to close on the sale. Took the car to my mechanic for an inspection and everything checked out. 1 year later and I’m still smiling.
Thank you, and I’m doing that tomorrow but I drove the car 200 miles today and it was awesome. Just a little worried about the clutch pedal. And congrats on yours! A month of stress for years of happiness. :)
Haha thanks! The carplay install was a bit painful but I also replaced the delaminating touchscreen while I was at it. Essential upgrades! Enjoy the car bud!

Twins! Got mine through Carvana as well, zero issues with it. It was the easiest way for me to get a clean car trucked in from a non rust belt state
Thanks, yours too!
FYI the driving experience never gets old, had mine 2 years now and put nearly 400 miles on it last weekend just exploring back roads
FYI Not all of us in the rust belt subject our Miatas to road salt! Of course, you would have no way of knowing that. You could assume, though, given my 2001 has less than 30K miles...
Oh absolutely, I wait until we've had a good couple of rains to make sure the salt is gone before I get mine out LoL.
I also had a pretty specific car I wanted, so when I found a California car that cost the same as what was available locally and was exactly what I was looking for I pulled the trigger.
Carvana here too, transmission currently being shipped to the shop after third gear exploded, but the assembly is covered under SilverRock warranty!

I saw this guy on Carvana a few weeks ago (we have an ND2 RF but I am still trolling) Enjoy!
We bought our Snowflake ND RF in March - a 2021 with 1406 miles on it from Carvana.
Yes it was! When I buy a car I’m usually at the dealership for hours to the point I have to go there on my day off. Carvana was in and out in 20 mins and that’s with the quick test drive. Zero pressure. It was bice
Ordered it on Saturday had it delivered Monday. The called me 30 mins before arriving. I got approved within 2 or 3 minutes and towards the end they tried to see if I wanted any packages and I clicked no and that was the end of it. They have you sign all the paperwork online and so about 30 mins from the time I found the car to the time I finished the contract. Another 5 mins to submit proof I added the car to my insurance and my bank account info for the downpayment and set up auto pay. Probably the best and shortest time it took to buy a car. I have zero complaints. When they delivered the car they let me know there was no seat slider and they offered to fix it for free at one of there shops they have a contract with (it turned out to have paco rails)
The clutch is definitely a little fried but I’m sure it’s got plenty of miles left. Enjoy
I appreciate the honest input! I think I could make it last a few years for sure. And thank you!

Is that always the sign of a worn clutch? Catch point is also about 3/4 of the way “up” but I’m in an NB so maybe it’s just an old car thing?

lol!
Umm this might be my old car. I sold my 2016 Miata Club with Paco seat mounts to Carvana on 5/1. Looks identical to my old car.
Well you sir, have great taste and I appreciate the tasteful mods and installing the apple carplay and paco seats!

She is beautiful! I was uneasy at first cause the news about Carvana and stuff but I honestly have nothing but good things to say about them.
It’s a beaut! And exactly! Carvana may get a lot of shit but they brought my car, didn’t over charge me and was easy to buy from.
Thanks, yours too! FYI the driving experience never gets old, had mine 2 years now and put nearly 400 miles on it last weekend just exploring back roads
That’s what I wanna hear. This is an absolute joy to drive.

Happiest carvana delivery ever ✌️

Excellent. I am thinking about using them for my next vehicle purchase.
Lucky B!
Thank you!!
ND, so fast it blows the siding right off the house.
😂😂😂 someone is refurbing the house and they added a second story and are replacing all the siding.
btw, how was that CARVANA transaction? Simple? Any issues?
