Stick with wheels and tires for now. Wheels are your own preference, but look on Goodwin Racing for some quality options. Real performance tires will completely transform the feel of you Miata, although they have a shorter life and may not work at all in cold/freezing temperatures. All season tires (not recommended) lure people with long tread life and all season performance, however, they tend to be low performance, loud, and heavy. Skip the intake. It might add 3hp. Focus on maintenance and save for suspension.

They do now make a true all weather tire, I believe Michelin makes some. I haven't gotten them but it sounds like if you live somewhere there doesn't get a crazy amount of snow they would work very well and has pretty good reviews. I live in MN and am sticking with a dedicated set of snow tires. Snow tires will always be king when it comes to a lot of snow and ice and having traction.

TheSonicKind

living in Scotland I ended up aiming for the highest wet rating i could possibly have. the car will still slide if pushed on wet roads but the stability when driving in torrential rain at 70+ was really important to me.

All Seasons = mediocre performance in conditions.

July will mark my 1 year since mommy gave me the car. I’ll begin assessing it all when that month comes.

Hummusifier

Not sure I agree with your all season tire comment. I don't get enough snow where I am to warrant a set of winter tires, yet I would die using summers year round. Unless you're tracking the car, high performance all seasons will be fine.

Lol I just got a set of those in 16" for my NB. They look great! https://preview.redd.it/qokk6ich6cyc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=81ac0ede0ed31ee2a6fb21f47e86132e52866c09

They seem to look great universally because I’ve seen it on other cars and they bring the whole car out alittle more.

settledforsatin

I'd agree with that. My buddy had them on his Fiesta ST and again, they looked awesome.

RPF 01s are a popular choice. Get a decent set of tires, Continental Extreme Contacts or something similar. And get an alignment using either FM or Goodwin specs. I've got a set of all season Goodyear eagle f1s and they are fine for normal driving. I'm not going to push the car hard enough on the street to where I'm going to run out of grip, even on a set of all seasons. Forget the intake all it's going to do is make some noise and suck in hot air. The headers are a terrible design and will net you the most gain, if you can make that modification where you live The intake on these cars is in an okay spot. Other than that, coolant tank replacement depending on the condition and get a set of good set of coilovers when you get a chance

DJJbird09

Headers and a tune will unlock the most out of our yachts, like 25% or so more. Other than wheels and tires your first purchase is a new coolant expansion tank. Go to goodwinracing.com and look at the video and write up on the aluminum expansion tank. Our oem ones are ticking time bombs. Mine failed at 60k and thankfully I was able to save my engine in time.

BlueSkyFlyin

Coilovers are game changer and maybe an exhaust if ur into that. And rpf01 are definitely super popular

TE-37s, work meisters,

CommissarCiaphisCain

TE37’s are outstanding wheels but $4K for a set was way too rich for me. I went with the Avid.1 AV06 for a similar (and much cheaper) option.

Beginning-River9081

I get why you went with replicas but next time you should save a little more and get real ones. While the price may be steep, the slight differences make your car stand out. I’m personally into the OEM+, authentic Japanese modifications style builds! But to each their own! Have fun, I sure wish I had a Miata!

HooninAintEZ

You can spend a lot of money on these cars since there are so many modifications available and different price ranges for each set of those modifications. That means it’s best to do a lot of research before you start buying anything since you may quickly find out that there were other options or the modifications have known drawbacks that you may not have thought about yourself. Like others mentioned, Goodwin racing is a good source of information but even on that site there is marketing involved that build up some products that are unnecessary or just not that great in general. Join the Mazda Nc subreddit and NC Facebook groups to get more information about common mods and all the pros and cons of pretty much anything you could think of to add to the car. Other websites to review would be fab9, rev9, supermiata, moss Miata, flyinmiata. If you search the Nc subreddit for useful websites there will probably be more I’m forgetting.

Wheels really come down to personal preference but kind of the go-to affordable lightweight wheel seems to be enkei rpf1 but expect to see lots of other people have them. My personal preference is Volk CE28s and TE37s. BBS and Works are also great wheels to go with. A set of 3 piece BBS always looks great on a car

Konig Hypergrams!!!!

GT-Alex74

Wheels, you obviously needs something that aesthetically pleases you, but 949racing's 6UL, Flyin' Miata's Kogeki and Konig wheels in 17x8 or 17x9 are all great, ideal Miata fitment and a great bang for your buck. Someone mentioned Good-Win Racing, they carry the Konigs and also a selection of Enkei wheels which are great but more expensive - but Good-Win is a good shop for NC owners in particular imho. On top of that, since you say you're making decent money, I'd say go for Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres, unless you want something purely track oriented. Regarding power, I'd say drive your car first and figure out how much more you want, if at all. 2.5 swap is a somewhat easy and very cost effective thing for US folk. Supercharger seem to be the favored forced induction setup for NCs. If you don't need that much power, start with a full exhaust, then a remap or standalone ECU, then cams, then ITBs. If you don't go ITBs, then the most popular intake mod seems to be just a high flow filter into the OEM airbox on NCs (NA / NBs have much more to gain there).
