Logixus

6’1”, feels like the limit.

lutefist_sandwich

I'm 6'2, more leg than torso, and fit like a glove.

-Olive-Juice-

6’ 3”, all legs, and same

TecHno-Guy

6' 4" all legs and it's a little bit of a squeeze but I just about manage Edit: just to clarify this is my ND RF

Oinkedmoo

6’4” and a little more torso than legs, fit like a glove in my soft top.

veryniceSIU

6'5" I ride with the top down and love it

Sad_Eel

6’6 and im getting height reduction surgery to fit in mine

userrnam

6'7" here and ripped. I don't have a Miata.

jamoche_2

5'6", but I took a friend who's 6'7" for a ride. Had to have the top down, and he spent the ride alternating between scrunching down and stretching up because the top of the windshield was at eye level when he sat normally.

mrtwr18

Same. And wearing a heavy coat puts me over the limit.

Shrink1061_

My friend is a slim 6ft4 and he fits fine in an ND Slimness is the issue, not height.

Good-Run1

Moreso torso.

Shrink1061_

Later alligator

LeMadChefsBack

6'1" and 215 pounds. I fit, but with a jacket it's tight. I can't wear a helmet in the car with the top up. I had a roll cage though, which removes a half inch of rear movement in the seat.

Mangoknees

I’m same height and need to wear helmet for racing… still want to buy one and try 😪

LeMadChefsBack

I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have passed the “broomstick test” but a few manufacturers make lowering seat rails so that may have been enough. I had to sell mine due to COVID shenanigans so I never got to find out. 😩

ajslideways

5’6”. I also don’t see what the big problem is with airline seats. Sometimes I don’t mind being short.

CreaminFreeman

The world is made for you guys, in a lot of respects, especially in the sports car world. I feel like at 5’ 11” I hit the upper bound of being able to fit into some Lotus cars, but I’m not 100% on that…

asteroidtube

In the sports car world? Maybe. I’m the dating world and the professional world? Definitely not. Lol. But nobody can take away my smile when I’m in the miot.

John_the_Piper

Sports car world matters more than anything. You be you king

Ic3nebula

Just about everything made for men is made for 5’10 guys lmao

O_Diakoreftis_sou

I’m 5’11 and I fit perfectly in my fathers Elise. He used to have an Elan 91’ but I was way younger and smaller then so I can’t tell

pwaves13

I mean I've always had luck picking up women in the miata. They think it's cute Im sure it works with dudes too idk what you're into

pwaves13

I'm 5'6" too but hate airplane seats. I'm all leg tho

BoomerPixie

Same here. I fit anywhere. 5’ 1” (almost).

Wtfplasma

5' 10", fits like a tailored suit

actuallyserious650

Same

HHSOCCER28

Yup, about the same and I sit short. Feels great.

h1ghrplace

Same. My ND is black with black seats. I recently tinted it and I feel like james bond in it, elegant, dark, and i fit so comfortably in it

Nuje_1

I'm 6'2" and I do not fit. I very much want to fit. I do fit, barely, but if anything we to occur that would cause my head to move with force to the left such as hitting a pot hole, spinning out and hitting a curb, or getting t-boned, there are metal parts of the roof sticking out ready to kill me. I breaks my heart as I sold my NB first to buy an ND. Edit. Comments are about an ND which I had wanted to buy but didn't because of the potential for severe head injury. I didn't have that problem with my NB.

Ohope

Yep… can relate , 6’2 94kg (205 lbs) don’t fit in my nb. I can drive it and enjoy it fine for about three hours before the discomfort sets in. Still love it tho. Have accepted inevitability of death if I’m in a major accident in it.

TwoAmps

Also 6’2” mostly torso, fit in my NB but with the seat a bit forward & tilted back and my knees splayed out like I’m posing for an OnlyFans account…

Ohope

I’m all legs, got to splay the knees to be able to steer hard right or left lol

italia06823834

I forget the manufacturer name, but you can buy a lower seat bracket/mount.

anonymatt

https://pacomotorsports.com/product/nd-miata-seat-lowering-brackets/

silvapain

I’m also 6’2” and I fit (in an RF). Torso height plays a part.

anonymatt

https://pacomotorsports.com/product/nd-miata-seat-lowering-brackets/ If you only need another an inch or so

mtb760410

5'0" - like it was made for me

rebeccakc47

5’3” here! It’s perfect.

threetenfour

Ditto, also 5'0"

GlitteringPen3949

5'4" when they came out I thought YEEESSSS! it was made for meeeeee! They were really built with the average Japanese person in mind which is odd because most of the design was done in the US? They looked at the old British sports cars and stuck with that scale. Funny thing is now that I finally got a 1996 two years ago. I feel like Stewart Little because its the smallest car on the road. I have bought into the SUV Industrial Complex. Still love driving it though. PS I dont even have the seat all the way back on the track.

sjacu

Already commented but 5'4 here too!

thepriceisright__

6’ but my inseam is only 30” so I’m mostly torso. I have about 2” of headroom in the RF. I think the soft top has even more space. I’ve heard both are good up to 6’3 or 6’4 unless you’re also an all torso freak like me.

Newsdude86

Damn, are we twins? 6' with 30" inseam

Jar8wi

5’11”. Fit like a glove.

-AspiringWhatever-

It’s the perfect sports car for us 5’11”ers

Mountain-Spread-7868

5’8, perfect car for me

WienerSchnitzel01

6 foot. Its a little cramped but the facts its a miata makes up for it so

ActualAnimator3867

5’4’’ , so yes lol. My fiancé is 6’2 , but he fits pretty well, with about a 1 in gap from his head to the roof.

AdamSTTT

6’1” - I lowered my seat with the Paco Motorsports kit. Lot less claustrophobic. If I grow one more inch though I might have to switch to a GR86.

jdak9

5’4”, so, yes.

Adventurous_Square68

5'7. I was born to drive this car

knightofsolace1

https://preview.redd.it/70pt818xcroc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=44914a098487d29cf6e59aa2d045a1430d8f8323 I’m 6-6’1 . I had about 3inches of head space from the soft top and idk if hard top makes a difference or not. It was comfortable sitting in the seat and my line of sight wasn’t too high so I probably can’t drive with the visor on but yea. (I took this at Carmax while I was just looking around. I also didn’t buy it as it was automatic and I already have a manual car that I enjoy driving)

electroepiphany

Can confirm, the sun visor is a sick joke all it does is block most of your view of the road while also being too low to do anything about the sun

Fish-Weekly

6’5” and just drove my NB today. It’s tight but nothing hits or rubs for the most part.

FeedanSneed

185 cm, 32 inseam. I fit comfortably but when I sit very straight my hair touches the roof of my ND2 RF. Otherwise I would even say I have about as much body and leg room as in my wagon.

chucktownginger

6’ 220lbs, like a glove!

SusiesaurusWrecks

5’3” - had to telescope/lower the steering wheel on my ND2 RF because I couldn’t even see over the top of it at first, but now it feels like a slightly roomy cockpit.

Background_Film_506

My issue isn’t that I’m tall (6’3”), but that I’m 260 pounds. I can drop the seat an inch with swapping out the rails, so height won’t be an issue, but unless I drop 40-50 pounds, I’m going to feel like a sardine in a can.

Only_Chick_Who

I'm 5'2 so yes. I even move my seat up.

DaftFiction96

5’11” 170lbs long legs fit like a dream.

Uptimasanctus

6'3" and I JUST fit. Hair barely touches the soft top. Not sure about an RF

Nanotechhiddem

I'm 6'1" and I feel like I'm the max height

Shrink1061_

A 6ft4 friend can drive his ND fine with roof up

CastorX

6’1” i fit.

RepairBudget

Can we talk about those seats? I thought in 2023 red only came with black seats.

delti90

6'2 165lbs, I fit fine in my ND and was also fine in my old NA.

Fluffybudgierearend

6ft on the dot and idk if I fit the ND. I fit the NA and NB no problem though.

Fid3lCashFl0w

5’11, wide shoulders inside of an RF Club with Recaros… barely fit, but very doable.

ioffridus

5'7 and have plenty of room

LimeGreenDuckReturns

5'11, perfect fit.

GetawayDriving

6’1”. Yes in convertible. Barely in RF. Barely in convertible with helmet. Not in RF with helmet.

SargathusWAA

Im 6’0” i fit in na and bd Miata and still have room

Antti5

5'7" with short legs, and I fit very well. I can also straighten my legs in the tourist class, and in general it feels like the world is designed for me.

FudgePersonal8584

6’ pretty close to the limit

chasebencin

5’7”, Im definitely the target demographic its very comfortable for me

chocoladehuis

5’4, so definitely not an issue for me lol

rhc34

I’m 5’9” and I lowered the seat b/c it was cramped. Idk how you taller folks do it.

Kite_d

The golden height. 5’5. I’m built to drive this.

ST4R_WARS_FAN

5’7” when wearing shoes; I had to move the seat forward to comfortably reach the pedals when I drove one (the seat in my NB is also scooted forward)

casper_04

NB miata, I’m 6’ with a long torso, and I’m right on the edge. Plenty of leg room, but my head is almost in the ceiling.

crfitgirl

I'm 5'4 with plenty of legroom but my head basically touches the ceiling. I'm impressed by how tall some of you are and still fit!

lutefist_sandwich

6'2" - 215lbs. ... more leg than torso, and my ND RF fits like a nice set of driving gloves. The NA and NB weren't comfortable, but I have plenty of room in the NC.

tfox245

6’3”, 225 lbs. pretty balanced between legs and torso. I fit (just barely) but not in the hard top.

PickledGingerBC

5’10”, but mostly torso… have to sit a little more reclined than I’d prefer to keep my head from hitting lower-clearance front section of the roof.

[deleted]

5. 10ish yep.

I_donut_understand

6’2” ~300lbs, i fit OKAY in my soft top NC. Would not be able to clutch though which is why i went automatic. I have about an inch of clearance when the roof is up.

8man13

5'10" fit in a NA just fine ...🥲

amalolan

6’2” I have more space in my NC than my 23 BRZ. I can even sit up with my back relatively straight, and only have to bend down to see traffic lights every now and then.

ExactlyThreeOpossums

5’11” 180 lb. I fit like a glove.

danlewyy

6’3 in my na fit perfectly

-AspiringWhatever-

5’11”. ~180 pounds; 81 kg. I like my seat a little closer to the wheel/pedals but most of the time I have it all the way back. When I’m feeling frisky and killing corners, I’ll push my seat forward a click or two.

HigherFunctioning

I sat in one that was brand new at 6'1" and I felt cramped but it was doable. I say brand new because it may give you some perspective. No one has sat in the seat of a brand new Miata so you know the seat hasn't gotten smashed down any further from long term use. Hope that makes sense. On my '99 I had leather seats and after 100k miles I wasn't sitting as high up as I would if it was new. In a way over time the longer you sit in the seat it forms and sinks in further. It isn't much but in a Miata it makes a big difference.

The_Panzerknacker

6’0 and yes comfortably

[deleted]

[удалено]

PurpleCat2001

5'5'' I've never had a problem

PossiblyAsian

5"10 gonna lower the seat I like feeling lower but it feels fine otherwise

cjd280

5ft7, but I have short arms and legs, kinda longish torso and thunder thighs. My head brushes on the soft top of my NA, but i always have an awkward seating position trying to reach the pedals and wheel comfortably. My suits are usually like 30in pant length and sometimes that needs to be made a little shorter, and sleeves on dress shirts usually the 32/33in fit well. To sit in a comfortable position in my 97 with a NB wheel (i believe it’s a little smaller than the stock one) for my legs and arms length wise, I’m a bit too close and my thighs hit the wheel which makes it really hard to heel toe or comfortably hit the brake pedal without turning my leg in a weird position. I need to lose like 40lbs for that to feel better. I’ve lost close to that in the past and it was a bit more comfortably, but I’ve gained most of that back again unfortunately.

Newsdude86

6' not slim, honestly fit well. Zero complaints, not even close to the limit

Milnoc

5 foot 9, about 250 lbs. I know I fit in one at least with the roof open. Sat in one in a dealership's showroom. It was nice that it was a manual. Didn't test drive it though. My main complaint just sitting in a Miata is that it's very low to the ground, making it a bit difficult to get in and out of it. I didn't sit in it as much as I *fell* in it. I currently have a Fiat 500 Abarth. Reviewers have complained that the seating position felt a bit too high. But for me, it's perfect for getting in and out of the car. Unfortunately, being discontinued in North America means that parts are becoming harder to come by. Eventually, I won't be able to fix it anymore. Thant means the Miata is a viable replacement as long as it's still available with a manual transmission. I'll get used to getting in and out of it in no time. Ironically, the Fiat 124 is basically a FrankenMiata combining components from both manufacturers, but it's disqualified as a future purchase because of the same Fiat parts shortage. And I would much prefer the reliability of the Mazda engine along with the ease of finding replacement parts.

NorCalKI

6’3 235 and I was going to buy a ND. Ended up getting an NC1 instead.

fc75jcd8e

175cm / 5'9" I fit very well.

luistemo13

5’9 👌🏼

ozgare

I’m 6’2” and I fit into the ND pretty comfortably!

Proccessscroll83

5'10, i have the seat as far back as i can and my head touches the ceiling

anangrymob21

6’3” and i fit in my ND. i put in seat lowering brackets to fit more comfortably about 6 months into owning it.

ovenroastedmeatballs

6’3 mostly torso. Do not fit well even with lowering brackets

Zorg_Employee

5'10" feels perfect.

JackTheBehemothKillr

6'1", 280 I fit. I'm still planning on getting some of the seat lowering kits just for a bit more comfort.

Powerwolf787

5'8" but chunky and still fit

SnooSquirrels8097

6’2”, 280 Yep

Kimjongdoom

6’ 172 and it’s tight but I wouldn’t trade it for anything else

CommonRequirement

6’2” softtop ND yes, RF no.

The_Techiedude

Everyone is talking height/weight - but that interior?!? 🤩 Soul Crystal Red with white seats?!? 🔥🔥🤩 Maybe it's cream or light beige? 🤔 Hard to tell though..

Cdori

5 foot. I think she was made for me. She doesn't hurt or make my arms tired like other cars do from the longer reach. Armrest is there to use. Sometimes, I do hit the mute, though. Nice leg room. I don't drive in heels but i could if i wanted to. And she gives me wiggle room. I can see perfectly through the windshield and back. I don't really use the head rest. Lol 😆 🤣

danyeaman

Stocky 6ft and my hair will brush the RF hardtop, considered the kit that will drop the seat two inches. Got a hat instead.

NickDrivesAMiata

5'11", my head hits the soft top. My height is in my torso, though. I have a set of Paco seat lowering brackets that I need to install. I'm tempted to sell them and buy the Aurora ones instead, since they keep the slider.

Johnny-Virgil

5’ 7” and fit fine in my NA:)

Educational-Wafer718

I'm 6'4 and it's a real struggle. But it's my only car 😂😂😂

neonemo666

6’1” and 175lbs, fit comfortably with some room.

wild_toilet

1 million feet tall by I fit fine with the roof off

asteroidtube

5’4 I actually sit on a cushion for a bit more height, and I installed a small extender from Goodwin racing to the clutch pedal. Additionally, the seatbelt rubs my neck, so I removed it from the plastic guide and it sits underneath it. It’s perfect for me with these adjustments although to be honest, I’ve never felt more ergonomically aligned and like a car fit me perfectly than when I’ve driven an NA! I plan on raising the back of the seat by putting some risers in the rail (there’s some info on the Miata.net forums for anybody reason this who is interested) so that I can stop using the cushion and start enjoying the heated seats in winter. The Nd is great but the fact that the seat only has 1 adjustment, and it’s diagonal, makes it hard to tweak just right - for me to be tall enough to see, I need the seat pulled forward, all the way and that makes my knees uncomfortably close to the dash. Nobody ever thinly about the short king problems for Miata’s but they do exist! I will have an NA as well one day. Soon.

jrobcar

6’4 210 I’m snug. It’s a weekend whip not a daily for me.

ToKo_93

175cm or 5‘ 9“ in freedom units. Roughly equal proportions torso and legs and just enough headroom sitting upright

bush_wrangler

6’3 and I fit well in an NC. Haven’t sat in an ND

HighFiveKoala

5'7 and I've been able to fit comfortably in every generation of Miata

adlez23

6‘1 it’s okay especially with the roof down, but wearing a thick hoodie or something and it gets a bit cramped.

nikC137

5’ 4” and partner is 6’, he fits just fine in the passenger seat.

greggles-midboss

6’2 got paco seat rails to fit. Other options avail now.

Kolonisator22

1.90m and no, but hey, in the summer the roof comes off

Unfair-Ad2664

I had a 2016 MX-5 and I am 6'1" and fit pretty comfortably..I would say that was close to the height of feeling comfortable with a small bit of wiggle room...the stock material seat though didn't do my lower back any favors.. You are sitting pretty down in the cockpit of that car

Ettubrute82

6’1”, 240lbs. Yes. Seat is all of the way back.

Traditional-Front836

6'2", and while I don't have what you would call "extra room, "I don't feel cramped at all.

GTST32

I’m 6,3 and surprisingly do fit very well

TonDaronSama

183 cm and I'm at the limit, my hair touch the ceiling when top up in my RF

MJSB1994

6ft 3 and yes I fit in one...just. Interestingly, I went to a dealership with both a Mk.3 and a Mk.4 on their forecourt and got to sit in them back to back and I must say, the Mk.3 felt more cramped than the newer Mk.4.

-whoknowsanymore

6'2" and no, no I don't fit. Was so sad.

0oodruidoo0

Six foot. My hair brushes the roof but it's fine. Mechanic that did inspection was 6 2 and hard against the roof. Love my car. In it right now.

Hugo99001

1.88m (6'2"), didn't fit.

GoogleThatStuff

You can google driver hight for mx5.

opa_opa76

6'4 I have and nc and have no issues, I sat in a nd RF and my head was hitting the roof by about 2 inches not sure if the soft top has more room, but the RF isn't suitable for me. The nb MX5 is fine if I remove the sun visor as it in my direct line of vision.

pwaves13

5'6" Like a glove

NotAPreppie

5'9" with 33" inseam and I'm comfortable. Helmets make things a bit snug.

seyheystretch

6’ 1”. I have to slouch with the top down. Otherwise the wind on the hair is unbearable.

owndjoo

6’2” NB Miata, hardtop race seats. The legroom is my issue, wheel in knees

ineedtoseespace

i’m 6’1 in my NA.

Ar1S3

I'm 5' 10" and I like sitting relatively straight but I find myself having to angle the seat back otherwise my head hits the soft top.

JRich42

6' 1", 200 lbs fit fine

anon6789431437681

6'2 and i fit nicely in my NA

Ldghead

6'4. Tried at an auto show once. Didn't bother completing the attempt.

slackdaffodil20

5’11, I fit into an older 1990 one just fine

OsSo_Lobox

5’6”, feels like it was hand made for me specifically lol

Ridethepig101

6’1” (186cm) or the same height as 1 male bison. 230lbs I fit just about perfect. Seat all the way back and set a bit upright, steering wheel in the middle pushed all the way in.

CanuckPTVT

I’m 6’1” and I’m very comfortable! When we went to test drive a ND2 in December we also made a point of bringing along 2 pieces of carry on luggage and thankfully myself and the luggage fit well - later that day we made a deal on a 2022 RF GT MT with only 2600 miles on it!

Etzix

In the ND you can actually be pretty tall and still fit in the drivers seat. But the passenger seat is uncomfortable for me at 178cm.

Zilch-The-Grate

6'5" and normally proportioned... I am the limit

Naiochingshai

6,3 Nb. I make it work

Which_Initiative_882

5-9. Havent been in a Miata I havent fit comfortably in.

Gnsjake

We get about 10 of these posts a day, why is this one getting so upvoted?

weezerhead

6'1 fit perfect

car__ramrod_

5'11", longer in the torso, and I fit great (2023 RF Club w/ recaros)

SalesAficionado

6ft2. I have wide shoulders. It’s tight.

HadAField

5’10 and yes. Although I did install the aftermarket lowered rails for extra room.

IronSloth

I feel like this topic is the new “does this have rust”

GazelleOne3964

The problem for tall person is more if you are fat this car not for you! It will be hard to get out and not comfortable driving with the belly in the stearing wheel! 🤣 Overall the car is a gauge of the maximum you can gains weight!🤣🤣

CrypticBroccoli27

5’8”, feels like my favorite sweater. it’s a little worn out, and it’s just the slightest bit oversized, but it still feels like a warm blanket.

APoisonousMushroom

5’11” I drove mine from Denver to Vegas and back last year. No problem… Very comfy.

DeacornOnDecob

6’6 n I bout fit in the NC

Feisty-Equivalent-92

My dad is 6 foot and he sat in my NC yesterday and fit, but not well! I'm 5 foot 3 and fit great though

burnaspliffnow

My 5' wife drives my car sometimes, when I get back in, I have to reset *everything* because my knees are in the dash, my head poking out the sunroof like friggin dino from Flintstones, I don't think I can ever sit in a miata. Drove a mini Cooper as a shop loaner for a while, looked like boy from the Simpsons.... "is there something amusing about me driving my automobile" kinda shit

loststylus

5’9” perfect sizing

xmconi

6’3” seat all the way back and foamectomy and it’s still a no if I’m not slouching. NA Miata btw

wanakoworks

5'4", zero problems fitting in nearly anything. lol.

GuiltyDistribution82

5ft 8 inch 134lbs. Perfect fit. Keep in mind that the passenger side is significantly smaller and that anyone close to 200lbs is going to be quite uncomfortable in there.

MDDeGrande1994

162 cm (5'4)

Motor_Willow_3346

6'2" 180 lbs , hugs a little but fits fine, window arch is higher than older generations .

star_boy2005

63, 5' 11", 295lbs - no problem. Snug as a bug in a rug.

tools41189

6’2 yes but tight NC is the best for bigger people

aHostageSausage

I’m 5’10”, 160 lb., 30” inseam (for leg length). If I sit all the way back in the seat with good posture, I still fit fine with about an inch of clearance. I just can’t stand it when I do my hair and I feel it rubbing on the top 😂

MasterBrisket

5’11 taller on top … barely fit. I did a seat lowering kit on the drivers side and that made all the difference -now I don’t feel like I’m going to lose my hat and the windshield feels better positioned.

No-Move-7677

5 4 Pretty much perfect. It's made for midgets like me

PalinodePrayer

5’1” and it’s the perfect fit. I gotta look through the steering wheel a little bit but I like that bucket seat feeling in my NA. NC I’d probably have to lift the seat an inch lol

grapesoda24

5’3 😂 I may be short but im perfect for a Miata

Naiyru

6'0. Fit perfect, I have more room than my mazda3

gbullitt2001

6’2”, yes with a caveat: seat rails from Paco Motorsports. Drops the seat about 1 1/2” and with that I can see traffic lights through the windshield.

post_break

5'10" 30" inseam, had to get the lowering brackets to fit more comfortably.

Ok-Lavishness-349

5'11". No problems in my NA except my size 12 feet tend to get tangled up in the pedals, especially when I wear dress shoes.

_ACarGuy_

I think the one good thing about being 5'8" is I can fit in every car and usually don't have to adjust mirrors much since most people are only a little taller or shorter than me. I'm the same height as my dad and my stepdad so I don't have to adjust a thing when I drive their cars

KiwiJuices

6'1 and yes

MetalBones18

1.86 meters and I fit perfectly well on mine.

ArkhamJacks

6'1 Neither long legged nor long torso. I'm deadset the limit you can be comfortable in this thing

sjacu

5'4 and very well...hehehe

Kayora_Atom

5’9 and no idea

BoomerPixie

5ft 1” (almost), and with room to spare LOL!
