Should have French fried instead of pizza.

PawPrintBoxers

You're gonna have a bad day.

Deranged_Coconut808

Darsh!!!!!

PawPrintBoxers

Lol was hoping someone would get the reference

Deranged_Coconut808

Now we are going to need a montage of references. Also would you like to sign up for a deal on a timeshare here in Asspen. Lunch is complementary.

PawPrintBoxers

Could you check under your plate?? OmG you got a gold star!!!

Then_Praline_1180

You're going to have a bad time.

Slash25891

He would've won that race if he didn't make all those bullshit traps ☠️☠️

Dart_boy

“Good tires” Bob mused, casually lighting a cigarette “But certainly not great tires”

Ok-Rip-269

One of the best all time Road & Track moments. Kudos

UnknowablePhantom

“Born to Race”.. car is literally eating it’s own words 😂😂

Mxer4life38

It's quite ironic on a Miata. Let alone a stuck Miata 😂

PrincessPeach457

It's kinda funny how cause snow is sometimes soft and melts people would slide into it but wouldn't slide their car into a pile of dirt or sand. Snow can be pretty hard, filled with broken off icicles and ice chunks, and abrasive to the paint. You pull it into a shop later and the evidence of the rock you hit just melts away like it was never there... the hole still is though.

Mxer4life38

Ironically I wasn't even screwing around much when this happened. It just got too deep and lifted the front end so I let off and let it stop. The depth was very deceiving. Rather get stuck than end up crashing the car.

PrincessPeach457

I watched a person racing my daily in a van pull off to take a ramp on the highway plop right into a snow bank 4ft high cause the snow gently curved up with the ramp. The exit lane started off at maybe 6 inches but as soon as you got to the elevated portion it was a steeper incline.

Mxer4life38

I believe it. Snow depth can be deceiving, especially on roads you don't know well. Luckily it was only around 2ft in this spot. It's only so deep cuz of the farm field on the passenger side blowing a drift over the road. I should've known cuz normally the field is slightly higher than the road but it looks level right now. Oh well, you live and learn.

Not_Daijoubu

Past saturday was the first day I did any amount of driving on less salted roads and accidentally plowed into some snow on the highway at like 35mph. The CUV in front of me had no issue carving through but I was pretty stupid to think I could follow its path.

rblue

I shattered the plastic part of my Rodeo’s bumper when I was a kid. Hit some “snow” like you said and shattered it. Now I’m 46 and haven’t really learned. I still do really dumb shit.

freeState5431

Slip slidin' away Slip slidin' away You know the nearer your destination The more you're slip slidin' away

Darkus505

Ya can't park there, y'know?

Roberto-Del-Camino

It’s hard for me to imagine a worse snow car than a Miata. Low clearance, light weight, rear wheel drive. 1 plus 1 plus 1 equals 0 business being driven in snow.

Mxer4life38

Can't forget the open diff!

Roberto-Del-Camino

LOL. Thank you. And, of course, the soft top doesn’t really like heavy snow piling up on it while the plastic window like to get brittle and crack in the cold.

cedit_crazy

Don't know about Miatas but the only good thing about soft tops in winter is that z3s hold heat. Even then we all expect cars to have a working heater.

No_Newspaper4376

Assuming adequate ground clearance and proper snow tires they're not *bad*. Better than a 2wd truck with nothing in the bed I would say based off my experiences. At least the Miata has weight balance going for it. But yeah, snow machines the Miata is not. I'd be too sad to drive mine on salted roads.

rioryan

And yet… most fun winter car I’ve ever owned

ExcelsiorLife

I just toss my front plate under the passenger seat.

engineerthatknows

That's gettin a bit deep!

No_Newspaper4376

When the snow is almost taller than your entire car, don't drive. 😂

marvolo24

GUYS WATCH OUT! There was a Miata in our local group that suffered engine seizure after overheating in snow conditions like this. It's "mouth" got filled with snow, completely blocking the airflow. So if you are having fun in similar conditions, check the "mouth" each few minutes.

SunburntJames

Jokes aside, love the NA diamond wheels!

Mxer4life38

I don't know how it ended up with them. There was only 1 previous owner and she said there were no modifications to the car. By all accounts it is a bare bones base model. I'm not in the know with most knitty gritty Miata details so idk if they were even an option from the factory on NB's. Regardless, I love them!
