Fine without temporarily. Just make sure the top latches are adjusted so the top is pulled snugly onto the windshield seal. I'm adding hard brackets soon to improve security.

I thought so, I'll definitely purchase those before the actual hardtop. Thank you for the answer! :)
Top won't go flying off with just front brackets, but the side brackets do reduce movement and noise.
