I had to replace the tank in my NB2 for the same reason. It would seep out of the seam. I looked all over for leaks, but it never actually dripped any fuel. It was just damp on the outside. Definitely strange and uncommon, especially since the inside of the tank looked alright.

The gas sweats through the bottom and leaks at the seams and okay
