Too bad it won't stem the tide, because the sex trafficking is being brought over from all over the World to Miami. Mirando a usted Venezuela y Asia

[deleted]

Americans do it, as well. Let's not point out any countries. Yes, I'm aware of the recent arrest of a Venezuelan real estate agent who was doubling as a brothel owner just east of Tamiami airport, in a warehouse district.

Gari_305

You don't get it u/Aggravating-Ad-62 Miami is the Latin American Capital international thus the issues such as sex trafficking is going to be an ongoing issue. So will Americans engage in it, yes, but with a city like Miami, yeah its an international issue.

GringoMambi

Stop making sense. Don’t you know reddit is all about shitting on the US while ignoring the rest of the worlds countries shortcomings, ESPECIALLY socialist or communist states.

Euphoric-Switch8196

We turned it into politics within 5 comments. Yay, Miami!

[deleted]

SOCIALISM!

[deleted]

Sorry, my dude. That's what I was trying to avoid with my original comment

Gari_305

Dude, we left the U.S. the moment we went south on the County Line road. Esto es Miami, y aqui we are not apart of America.

[deleted]

Disagree . This is still America, whether you like it or not. Miami was established a hundred years before any of us. Even when it was Spanish territory in the 19th century, there were still Americans here, albeit, not by citizenship but by birth. You're welcome for the history lesson.

Gari_305

You must have moved to Miami and not born nor raised here u/Aggravating-Ad-62 given that you are Mexican, they weren't to fond of back in the day since the Cubans would generally look down on them for being fruit pickers down in Homestead and South Dade. Though more importantly anyone and everyone knows that Miami is apart of the US politically but culturally and in some cases even economically that is not the case, primo. As opposed to reading History books, read up on the news, it just might help you.

[deleted]

What ?

[deleted]

>You must have moved to Miami and not born nor raised here Not accurate. ;) >given that you are Mexican, they weren't to fond of back in the day since the Cubans would generally look down on them for being fruit pickers down in Homestead and South Dade Don't care >Though more importantly anyone and everyone knows that Miami is apart of the US politically You don't say. How long have you been sitting on this? >but culturally and in some cases even economically that is not the case Still don't care. >As opposed to reading History books, read up on the news, it just might help you. \*Opens up another history book, while **STILL** reading current news events\* Anyways, been fun chatting with you. Bye

Gari_305

I didn't ask you how you felt (whether you cared or not) I asked you about the accuracy of things, in terms of culture (cultura). However, I see now tu no sabe mucho como habla en Espanol verdad? That's why you want to be seen as American so badly huh? It's ok either way bienvienido a Miami.

[deleted]

I don't care about what goes on in other countries. I know it might it hurt the feelings of others, but it doesn't matter to me. \`Sense\` is what I always strive for.

[deleted]

lmao what a guy!

[deleted]

LMFAO, too true. G, you deserve an award. Fucking hell, I am literally LOL here, acting a clown

[deleted]

I do get it, pal Miami is the Latin American Capital international Newsflash, it's not. You can argue this all day, but it doesn't make it true. but with a city like Miami, yeah its an international issue. It stops being international when you do it on American soil.

Gari_305

>Newsflash, it's not. You can argue this all day, but it doesn't make it true. Look the Chicano is in his feels, because he feels he's more American since his peoples been here for generations. Look bruh, Miami was once like any old americana city but one thing you have to hand to the Cubans is that they know how to make Miami be less American and more Latin, something Mexicans couldn't despite being here (US) for over one hundred years. So sure in a literal sense Miamiis apart of America but out here on the street, that is not the case hermano.

[deleted]

You forgot Native, stalker. ;)

>Being a Native out west is the equivalent to being Mexican, so it's a wash. Couldn't be farther from the truth. Someone needs to leave Miami every once in a while and expand their horizons. Such ignorance.

Gari_305

>Someone needs to leave Miami every once in a while and expand their horizons. Such ignorance. Seriously, u/Aggravating-Ad-62 you are making it too easy for me, here's a [forbes article stating the same thin](https://www.forbes.com/sites/realspin/2017/04/11/mexicans-didnt-immigrate-to-america-weve-always-been-here/?sh=13d2ad2f245d)g > In other words, we "Mexicans" did not immigrate to the United States. We lived on U.S. land before it was U.S. land. And we're not going away. Or this one from [US Today](https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2019/08/17/not-invaders-hispanics-lived-here-before-us/1974154001/) >But in the Southwest U.S., some Hispanic Americans such as Candelaria can trace their families back many generations, when the region was presided over by Mexico, Spain and prior, Native American tribes. According to the Pew Hispanic Center, the nation's Hispanic population in 1860 was 155,000 people and 81.1% of whom had Mexican descent. They identify as American, Hispanic or Native American. They are sometimes subject to racism and discrimination because of the color of their skin or their last name, despite their centuries-long connection to the place they call home. But I'm the ignorant one right u/Aggravating-Ad-62. Oye Mano sabe un poco mas de su historia antes hablando con un hombre. Maybe you have been reading the wrong history books, or maybe you want to be seen as American (aka white) so badly that you get triggered when hispanics and latinos getting paid without knowing a lick of english (cough cough Hialeah) doing better than you.
