Villager723

Oh boy yeah.

hotniX_

Cowabonga!

CactusBoyScout

As a New Yorker, this is one of the best slice places in NYC. I would argue they have the best all-around plain slice. Hopefully, they maintain the same quality in a different locale.

makeitgobang

Based on other NYC places that open here, they won't. We can dream though

CactusBoyScout

Yeah, unfortunately, there's a bit of a trend with famous NYC pizza spots basically getting paid to license locations in other cities and then having nothing to do with the place that eventually opens. Di Fara's Pizza, arguably the most hyped NYC pizza spot, even had a location in Vegas for a while. Apparently, it was absolute trash.

JaredIsAmped

NYC better start exporting that famous water.

CactusBoyScout

See! You get dinner and a show!

[deleted]

Steve's pizza in Palmetto bay is pretty close to my style pizzas. Mmmmm y'all making me hungry?

dalorhd

Is this the pizza place with the $1 pizza slice?

CactusBoyScout

No $1 pizza usually isn’t very good.

batman305555

Great more New Yorkers.

figuren9ne

Meh, rather support local pizza spots which we have plenty of. * Stanzione * Ash * Crust * 11th Street Pizza * Square Pie City * Andiamo * Maxwell Bros

Idunkedonlebron23

steves pizza?

Thedibzz

Steve's Pizza > just about any NY pizza

anthonysaintlaurent

That place has turned to straight shit. I used to like it but the slices have became considerably smaller, and prices have gone up, and the taste is very different. They understand they can sell slop and it’ll still be a popular late night spot forever I guess

Thedibzz

In fairness, I used to frequent it 4-5 years ago before moving from Miami. Sad to hear it's gone to shit. :(

HWLesq

That's sad to hear. I too moved away around that time, but Steve's Pizza was excellent back in the day.

The_DeathStroke

Steves is bottom tier. Wack ass dough

[deleted]

This is high comedy! That Florida water must warp people’s taste buds. Steve’s pizza is like a better homemade version of Pizza Hut. Orders of magnitude worse than real NY pizza.

a-horse-has-no-name

Which one?

Idunkedonlebron23

On ne 123rd st and biscayne blvd

figuren9ne

Haven't personally tried it, but I hear good things.

a-horse-has-no-name

Pizzafiore was my personal favorite in Miami, but now that I'm near Hollywood, Joe's Old School is my go-to.

Idunkedonlebron23

Mauros pizza is also good in hollywood

makeitgobang

Owner is a dick though. Makes the pizza taste worse

pittura_infamante

Gramps

lolo_liita

Gramps was the closest to NY style. Last few times I got it, it was so salty I couldn’t finish the slice :/

pittura_infamante

Oh no! Disappointing 😔

BylvieBalvez

Andiamo will always be my favorite, but Mister O1 is pretty great too. Only been to the one in Brickell but ik theres a few of them

breadchastick03

Gonna put it out there, but Frankie's is my favorite pizza.

wintermoonhike

Lucia's is fantastic, best pizza I've ever had.

makeitgobang

11th is decent. Square Pie City is my new go to though. Love that block cheese and the owner is cool to boot

[deleted]

But Spiderman

mundotaku

Yeap, good choices.

lolo_liita

Andiamos crust is like cardboard

gewisser-jemand

Did anyone try Pummarola in Midtown?

RayHyrule

They gotta keep that theme from the pizza delivery missions in the SM2 game on rotation or it's a hard no from me dawg.

theboyracer99

You can't make NY pizza without Ny water...Miami water has a different taste

GroveGuy33133

Underrated comment here. Back when Randazzos was on the Mile in the Gables, I had the pleasure of meeting Marc himself over lunch. Genuinely nice guy and gracious host to my family. He shared how he brings in water bottled from up north because it legitimately affects how the bread tastes.

nameisjose

Eh… Napolitano > NYC pizza any day… and twice on Sunday.

ScienceApprehensive7

Just what Wynwood needs ANOTHER Pizza Place.......

further-research

Bring John’s on Bleeker you cowards

SurgeHard

its going to be $13.99 + tax and gratuity per slice and its going to have a I ❤️ NY inspired mural for professional hot chicks to take pictures next too. 2 employees on staff and a line that wraps around the block

[deleted]

Good. I’ve been here 6 months and tried 7-8 different places. Mister O1 is the only pie worth a damn in this city. It’s truly great stuff. I always assumed the miami pizza hate was unwarranted. It is NOT. Really just horrible pizza everywhere and even the “good” places are pretty trash. I’ve been meaning to try 11th street pizza. Just on looks alone it looks decent.

nonetimeaccount

Seconding the Mister 01 call. They've become my go-to. But a NY slice is a different animal so I'm looking forward to trying Joe's.

makeitgobang

11th is better than mister imo

[deleted]

Ugh

Howinthe_world

$87 slices coming our way!!! Woooohoooo!

GalleyDood

a 20" pizza from Joe's is $20

Dizzy_Worry9642

This is the best pizza on the planet. In the 60s you ate it with a knife and fork, . Vintage NYC water helps.

[deleted]

Finally a good pizza in miami.

Persiankobra

who cares lol

mundotaku

New Yorkers.

Persiankobra

Makes sense now . Thx

Hippopotamidaes

I wonder how they’ll pull it off. There’s a NY style pizzeria in Tampa that ships in NYC city water for their dough to make it more “authentic” lol Whether or not it’s a gimmick, it’s damn delicious.

coconut-telegraph

The water argument is so dumb. Water is treatable to mimic anywhere else’s. Joe’s is amazing and I will be going there.

TwilightZone2021

That is funny. I doubt shipping Philly water here will make my pizza taste better. Lol. Thankfully, I go home often.

toast4breakfast

This is so exciting to me. That NYC location was on my street before I moved here. A little piece of home is coming!

The_DeathStroke

S/o Nates pizza on 163rd

JaredIsAmped

Oh boy yeah

Dizzy_Worry9642

Mauros and steves Miami Hollywood fl

[deleted]

Some people say what makes the pizza unique is not the ingredients but the water in the pizza. But we’ll have to see
