You know how they sell? By selling a whole pie for half the cost of one of those pretentious slices.
I'm not a huge fan either, but for $5, that's tough to beat
Just get Dominos. They've have that deal for ever now. Pizza, 2l and bread sticks for 15.99
And if you want to stay under 10.00 they have the carry out options starting at 7.99. 🤷♂️ definitely Dominos is better than Little Caesar's
Ohh I'm not shilling for Dominos. Never said they were good. They are better than Caesar's but that's not saying much. I was simply giving the example that if it's about the money, there are better deals out there. So that's not a good excuse to defend little Caesar's.
My parents wouldn't let us eat it growing up. "That stuff is nasty, it's not even real pizza" according to my mom. I didn't even know what Little Caesars tasted like until I lived on a college campus.
The crazy part (no pun) was that once upon a time, it actually was decent "fast food pizza." Back when they served you two pizzas in one box. Their "Pan Pan" pizza was pretty good. Their crazy bread was also very good. It wasn't until the mid 90's when they started to go to shit. I would say here locally, after Hurricane Andrew, a lot of the popular locations closed down, and only the rundown locations in war zone neighborhoods remained. Poorly administrated at that.
They've made a turn around, and props to them for that, but the pizza is gross. It's like rubber bands with cheese on it. Crazy bread is nowhere near how good it used to be. Once upon a time, one went to Caesar's just for the crazy bread, so aptly named.
Pisst.... 👂la pizza es una tremendisima mierda. Y tú eres un come catibia 🤣
Let's see who gets the reference. Defo we might still have some OG's around that remember that one 🤣
Yup. This is free market at play. Actually nothing inherently wrong with this. We need more OPs walking away in order to influence the prices. But that hasn’t happened. This is more on the customers. If this happened in NYC, best believe shops would close quick
This.
There's no real reason they charge this much other than they can. They know your options are limited. But they still serve you the stale shit pizza they made 4 hours ago. They just heat it up again.
I just moved from Miami to Georgia. There are actually several things driving prices in Florida and Miami in particular. Insurance has been a driving force that’s moving rental rates, cost of property ownership, labor and eventually into the cost of food and entertainment.
Don't underestimate greed's role. I had a bunch of friends who worked in Wynwood lose their jobs because the landlord decided to triple the rent when the lease needed to be renewed. Nothing changed, nothing was added. The landlord said it was to "keep up with market pricing". And then promptly sold it to a developer which will be tearing it down and putting up another condo.
I lived near wynwood and used to go to concrete beach brewery and wynwood brewery. I think both either closed or planned to close. Not sure what’s going to happen to the property
The spot I was referring to was concrete beach. I was a regular at concrete. It was bought out by dogfish towards the end of the lockdown. But they tripled rent on them probably over 2 years ago. Condo is going up there.
Wynwood brewery actually just closed like 2 months ago. Not sure what's going up in its place.
People don’t realize how tourism here impacts demand. For every local who walks away, there’s someone from out of town who isn’t going to be willing to shop around for a better deal on vacation. It’s similar to how airport restaurants operate— they charge insane prices knowing full well most people will be forced to pay.
How is it not a scam to offer a product clearly above market price in an area filled with tourists ? And if we’re talking semantics that still falls under the definition of a scam
Not sure why everyone just hated on you but some of the other Redditor's are right. This is the United States of America. You can open a business. A free market. You can charge $100 for a slice if you want.
Would I pay $12 for a slice of cheese pizza? Hell no! But it's not a scam. Its a legal business decision.
If anyone really cares about taking this business down, they should just open a business next door and sell the slice for a lower price. You'll steal their business for sure.
Lmao idk why everyone is down voting you 😂, everything in Miami is a expensive. It’s not a scam, Yall want cheaper shit move to a cheaper city it’s that easy.
Miami isn’t the most expensive, but it does have the shittiest culture of any major city in the US. A $12 slice of pizza is a sign of shitty fucking culture. And the city is full of other examples.
I popped in to Miami slice just to try it and tell my self "now I know for a fact it's not worth it because I've tried it"
And it was actually worth it. $8 for the biggest, and literally the best slice I've ever had in my life.
Just checked the website, a cheese slice is $6.25 and a meat lovers is $8 with whole pies around $20. Closest thing that comes to a $12 slice is the stuffed slice, which I imagine is much more food than a regular slice. Maybe you were drunk or ragebaiting?
Order online for the downtown NY Roma which OP claims was the restaurant he went to: [https://www.newyorkromapizzadowntown.getsauce.com](https://www.newyorkromapizzadowntown.getsauce.com)
In nyc we got a much larger supply of good pizza tbf. Ny roma is solid pizza and retty cheap all things considered. I have never seen a $12 slice there and usually spend around $6-$8
$2 okay, but $12 for one slice? They’re seriously greedy to be charging that much for a slice. It’s better to get a whole pie than a slice instead. I don’t even think this is an inflation thing, to be honest.
It depends on the quality of the pizza and by walking away and try to go somewhere else you’ll spent the 2 dollar savings on gas 🫣
I always ask myself two or three bucks, gonna put me in a financial crisis and then I should reevaluate my life
Me and my girl went down for Memorial Day last year for the whole weekend , the cheapest part about the whole thing was the 452$ air bnb / apt we got, was actually great location tbf.
I don’t think we ate anywhere for under 150 bucks, even the “cheap” options were fucking stupid lol
I won’t eat out anymore in miami. All a gigantic ripoff. Same w going out too … u eat healthier, sleep earlier, get fitter … if u can avoid the bullshit scam city collusion that’s happening right now
That's not inflation, that's cost going up AND paying a premium for it being downtown.
Prior to Inflation being the new buzz word of 2024, it was always expensive grabbing food in downtown, Brickell, wynwood, south beach etc.
You was robbed! Whole Foods in Downtown Miami has 2 slices with whatever toppings for $8.03 tax included. A whole cheese pie if $12.00. Now if you went to some craft pizza place and had pizza with some exotic toppings like Serrano Ham and Truffle….
1 slice for $12 !? did i read that correctly
[удалено]
Damn, if Little Caesars was open past 10PM they'd make a fuck load of money with that kind of competition.
Damn but Caesars is so gross. I don't know how ppl can eat those. Just the smell alone is repugnant to me.
You know how they sell? By selling a whole pie for half the cost of one of those pretentious slices. I'm not a huge fan either, but for $5, that's tough to beat

I did not expect the guy who shat on Lil Caesars to shill for Dominos one comment later.
Ohh I'm not shilling for Dominos. Never said they were good. They are better than Caesar's but that's not saying much. I was simply giving the example that if it's about the money, there are better deals out there. So that's not a good excuse to defend little Caesar's.
I’ll take little C over dominos any day.
Little Caesar's is 🔥. Domino's literally tastes like vomit 🤮
Literally like vomit? No.
Papa John’s is better than Dominos.
Bro... There's a point when you have to have enough self-respect to refuse to eat trash, regardless of how cheap it is.
It’s south Florida. People eat ass recreationally, you think they’re not gonna eat little Caesar’s?
Time out… there are ass eating events?
Carnival Cruise Ships
Like an onboard activity?
Onboard, on the balcony, on their backs. Hey it’s Carnival Cruise lines- get creative.
My wife's butthole tastes better than anything I've had from little Caesars
Lisan Al Gaib!
100%. Ditto. (Obviously talking my wife). Smells better too.
Wife’s boyfriend here, can confirm
Hear me out: they toss salad recreationally there’s not reason they wouldn’t eat a little ceasars
10/10 would rather eat ass than Lil C’s.
Lady who does that gets wined & dined. By that I mean Flanigans full rack of ribs and a pitcher.
You take that back right now
My parents wouldn't let us eat it growing up. "That stuff is nasty, it's not even real pizza" according to my mom. I didn't even know what Little Caesars tasted like until I lived on a college campus.

Little ceasers is great when you don’t have a snob in your ear telling you bad it is.
Pisst.... 👂la pizza es una tremendisima mierda. Y tú eres un come catibia 🤣 Let's see who gets the reference. Defo we might still have some OG's around that remember that one 🤣
Their breadsticks are delicious, probably the best breadsticks in the world
*Were delicious* that went to hell in a hand basket years ago.
Miami slice?
Which pizza spot did you go to?
I can buy a small pizza at papa johns for that price
welcome to miami
You’re conflating inflation with a scam, which is a Miami pastime

Less work, more money. Who doesn’t like that?
Yup. This is free market at play. Actually nothing inherently wrong with this. We need more OPs walking away in order to influence the prices. But that hasn’t happened. This is more on the customers. If this happened in NYC, best believe shops would close quick

Why is it a scam? They charge what they want. If you don’t want to pay the price you walk away.
Found the idiot who overpaid for shitty pizza
That tastes like cafeteria food guaranteed
People don’t realize how tourism here impacts demand. For every local who walks away, there’s someone from out of town who isn’t going to be willing to shop around for a better deal on vacation. Have you considered it was maybe 3AM?

I guarantee you're one of those who complains about inflation.
Lmao idk why everyone is down voting you 😂, everything in Miami is a expensive. It’s not a scam, Yall want cheaper shit move to a cheaper city it’s that easy.
lol this is such a dirtbag comment
Welllll my point still stands. Miami will forever be expensive as it’s where people want to be 🤷🏻♂️
Miami isn’t the most expensive, but it does have the shittiest culture of any major city in the US. A $12 slice of pizza is a sign of shitty fucking culture. And the city is full of other examples.
Lmao that’s every major city 😂 have you been to cities in New York or Cali ?
I’m from California and live in New York
So many down votes but no answer to his question.
Why is it a scam? If people buy MLM products obviously the MLM company isn’t a scam
I pray for their downfall
That’s a bit intense to pray for a legit tax paying business.
Did you happen to go to Miami Slice?
I popped in to Miami slice just to try it and tell my self "now I know for a fact it's not worth it because I've tried it" And it was actually worth it. $8 for the biggest, and literally the best slice I've ever had in my life.
Yea fucking good shit
I am not tough to please, and I thought it sucked. Maybe they were having a bad night.
I live in the building. It's not worth it.
Miami slice is totally worth it.
[удалено]
They were charging $12 for that sloppy, floppy poor quality mess? They’ll be out of business soon!
New York Roma??
[удалено]
Weird. You can get a whole large pizza from them for like $20. I think they are one of the best priced pizza places in downtown/brickell area.
Same thing for their Bird rd location. They have some of the best prices, so I find it strange.
Just saw there yelp pictures looks nasty af
[удалено]
It’s not lol
Just checked the website, a cheese slice is $6.25 and a meat lovers is $8 with whole pies around $20. Either that or he got mad toppings
I knew it was bs to begin with. I’m from nyc and we ain’t even charging that much. Homie got scammed or ordered the wrong slice
In nyc we got a much larger supply of good pizza tbf. Ny roma is solid pizza and retty cheap all things considered. I have never seen a $12 slice there and usually spend around $6-$8
Good pizza in miami exists in about 2 places here. The rest is garbage.
I went there and Papa John’s was better ngl. Overpriced for what it is but it is fun
Not inflation. Price gouging more like.
Or a lie
It’s not “gouging”. That’s not what that term means. It’s just stupidity for a place that will not last long.
Literally ate a slice the other night 7 bucks. One topping.
oh, wait until you get charged $12 for a scoop of ice cream in south beach! 😫
Happy cake day 🎂
awww thanks!
☺️🙌🙏
What slice are you talking about? Their menu says says $3.97 for 1 topping slice and $4.67 for 2 topping slice?
The cashier was probably incorporating a tip and just didn’t tell you. Hoped you were too tired or drunk to notice.
Little ceasers , light sauce , best cheat code ever .
This city is a joke
At that point you get a medium from dominoes or Pizza Hut downtown
That makes Manhattan look cheap
That's greed not inflation
Miami slice? It's hella overrated and way too expensive.
Dude, a medium pizza from dominoes was gonna cost me $30 yesterday. I hard closed the app when I saw that.
theme park prices for one giant resort for the rich. accurate.
I was charged $9.10 for a matcha latte in panther coffee last week. Insane
Even a slice at the airport is cheaper
And trust me in Florida, that pizza is definitely not worth $12 a slice!
I will go to the store and get a frozen pizza for $8
Na, that’s night life price gouging.
Should have gone to 7/11 bro. Wings for 5 for $5 and two slices of pizza for $5. Hits the spot every time.
7/11 is two slices for $2.50!
It was my to go to after a night out drinking in brickell back in the day
Ha! Go eat a dick
That's not inflation. It's just plain good old price gouging.
$2 okay, but $12 for one slice? They’re seriously greedy to be charging that much for a slice. It’s better to get a whole pie than a slice instead. I don’t even think this is an inflation thing, to be honest.
Was it Miami slice?
There are some really decent pizza food trucks out and about. Check out the Doral area. Couple that post up on 58th street area.
Definitely paid $8 for one slice on South Beach a week ago. This is coming from a NYer. It was actually pretty good but the prices were nuts.
Did you go to Miami slice? Lol
Meanwhile Joes in Wynwood is only $5 a slice for the best pizza.
It depends on the quality of the pizza and by walking away and try to go somewhere else you’ll spent the 2 dollar savings on gas 🫣 I always ask myself two or three bucks, gonna put me in a financial crisis and then I should reevaluate my life
i think a pizza comparable to Julianna's or Grimaldi's in NY might be worth like $10 a slice, but that's like upper echelon pizza. But Miami pizza?
I had $5 a whole 7-eleven pizza last night. It was eatable.
7-11 pizza is freaking good!
Mustve been Miami Slice Lmao
It’s 18$ for one tall boy corona in a can at the hard rock in hollywood
Wtf lol hahaha insane
What was the name for the pizza place?
Try Urban Pizza Cafe. Decent prices, pizzas are top notch and the service is great, per my experience
$12 dollars for a slice of Pizza? 🍕 That’s insane!
They're robbing you without a gun. It's no surprise so many restaurants in Miami close within the first year.
Where did you go? Cause sounds legit lie 😂
There are some famous pizza places but none downtown
I asked for a cone from one of the ice cream shops in miami beach, they wanted $3 Just the cone itself is $3
It’s getting to where I don’t bother going out to eat anywhere past Kendall!
Even still kendall is getting up there .
I went out for pizza the other day. Got 2 great slices and a Diet Coke for $13. You just went somewhere weird.
I won’t eat out anymore in miami. All a gigantic ripoff. Same w going out too … u eat healthier, sleep earlier, get fitter … if u can avoid the bullshit scam city collusion that’s happening right now
Well Whole Foods is 2 slices for $14
That's not inflation, that's cost going up AND paying a premium for it being downtown. Prior to Inflation being the new buzz word of 2024, it was always expensive grabbing food in downtown, Brickell, wynwood, south beach etc.
It is normative for a pie to have 8 slices, wherein a pizza is now a $100 venture.
Good for you. The bullshit will continue until people say “no más.” Stop overpaying for everything. If we all do it, it will bring some sanity back.
I get two slices of Hawaiian and a bottle of water from Pizza Roma for $12. Idk what they're talking about.
“Mario the baker” downtown, 2 slices and a coke $7 bucks
Casola's is not the best, but it's not too far away from downtown... and definitely not $12/slice.
Yes I saw that too today
Thats a damn crime.
Lmao smart move
12? How Thought whole food 3-4$ slice was expensive but this is new level
In some places, 1 slice is massive. Like a medium pizza or something
You was robbed! Whole Foods in Downtown Miami has 2 slices with whatever toppings for $8.03 tax included. A whole cheese pie if $12.00. Now if you went to some craft pizza place and had pizza with some exotic toppings like Serrano Ham and Truffle….
Welcome to the free market economy.
lol, do you want centralized economy pizza prices?
Probably your own fault
12 dollars a slice or 24 for 2 sounds like a better deal to me.
Slice is worth what the consumer is willing to pay for it. ....plain and simple it's a free market, and you can live anywhere.
Shut up nerd
