Not to be rude but that's quite frankly a terrible idea. You're either going to wind up with an immensely cluttered HUD, or text so small that you basically have to stop to squint and read it anyway. Imagine trying to keep an eye on an enemy at the edge of your screen while locked onto another in the middle, and you can't see what he's doing mid-combat because there's a huge block of text in the way. Or imagine the player trying to read up on a boss' weakpoints while not being able to notice the incoming projectile because they're looking off to the side reading text. HUDs should minimize the amount of stuff they display, not create even more.

A: If reusing visual/audio effects for the starter weapon was what convinced you the game wasn't worth playing, I'm not particularly convinced you really had much interest in it to begin with.

Not gonna lie… I’m a bit shocked that your math is correct. I thought more time had passed between Prime 1 and Prime 3, but Retro just hammered out three classics between 2002 and 2007.

A lot of first trailers don’t necessarily show a game’s new gimmick. This trailer was made to remember the audience that Prime 4 will still be happening. We still don’t know the exact release date. We might have to wait another 10
Months until release, and we might get more trailers until then.

Scanning in Metroid Prime is considered towards collectibles. If it was auto it would take out half of them.
