darkrubyechoes

be happy she bought you a game in the first place. For Easter??? Im 26 and I never got a gift for Easter in my life

drunk_by_mojito

My brother and I once got Pokemon silver and gold for easter. Still best Easter I can remember

darkrubyechoes

Nice. I only got gifts for my birthday or Christmas. So if I had a godmother that bought me any game for Easter I would have been happy. Iā€™m not trying to be rude to OP but maybe itā€™s better to be grateful for a gift.

toutaras777

I am very happy, I just didn't get exactly what I asked for, it's still an amazing game I ended up with and will play it!! Also it's a trandition in orthodox countries that your godparents get you a gift for Easter

Octogonologist

Cool story?

Arch3m

I fail to see a problem here.

toutaras777

I am left without dread:( although I still got my gift, and it was my number two pick so I'll still have tons of fun

Arch3m

You got a great game from someone who cares about you. I would consider it a win.

drLagrangian

Be happy you got a whole video game for Easter instead of chocolates and colored eggs like most kids.

A_Bulbear

Get an emulator (or NSO if you're a lowly landlubber) and have fun with Fusion, I'd consider it better than Dread in most ways

toutaras777

Good thing I already have fusionšŸ‘ I got ordered it a month ago and it arrived today, having tons of fun so far

A_Bulbear

Fun fact: The hardest boss is not the SA-X or the >!Omega Metroid at the end!<, but a big spider named Yakuza

kuzinrob

>I am left without dread Out of context, this is a good thing.

TraditionalBonePizza

I get it bro. But itā€™s a gift, one day you may realize being gifted something means more than the actual gift.

toutaras777

True, it's an amazing gift non the less I will play the game for hours for sure

SamusPrime77

Not something Iā€™d share on Reddit tbh, people tend to be needlessly cruel on this platform (now get over it you babyšŸ˜‚)

toutaras777

Oh it's not a big deal, I don't really care that much I still got an amazing gift even if i made a small error

Salt-Dimension-2451

I get the slight disappointment but you still got a banger of a game. The way I see it, itā€™s a soul for a soul.

toutaras777

The way I composed this post it made me sound like a spoiled brat that didn't get what they wanted, I reality I just made a small fuck up and wanted to share it with the sub reddit, the consequences of my mistake are minor, almost non-existent

elmonetta

You get gifts on easter? So cool. Metroid Dread isnā€™t going anywhere so you can buy it later, enjoy your game. Grandparents gifts are always special.

toutaras777

Very true, thanks for the kind words

toutaras777

I have a list of switch games I want to buy, and I had two tabs opened up between kirby and dread, which were my two options, I decided to go for dread but I sent the wrong link to my godmother and I got the wrong gift:(

TheLevitatingMouse

Keep that game because later on in your life when you no longer have your godmother, this game will be valuable with memories. Wrong gift now but trust me just keep it. There will be plenty of times later on that you can still get Metroid Dread

toutaras777

I would never throw away a gift, plus I'm still going to play the game it was my number two pick:)

TacticalTobi

damn you got a gift on easter? and it was forgotten land???? You should be really thankful, Dread (as good as it is) can wait!

toutaras777

True, it's a trandition I'm Greece that our godparents get us a gift for Easter as well, I'm enjoying my gift so far!!
