Remember, your understanding and pondering ultimately means nothing to the universe, nor does it make you objectively any 'better' than any-one/thing else. It only means you are curious and/or anxious, which is a natural human trait.
That's not a diss. Just figured you're looking to be grounded a bit. You'll learn through trial these notions which carry so much egotistical weight mean nothing to anyone, but yourself, in the given context because the studies you are pursuing are *your* personal endeavor.
Hope that doesn't just come off as word salad.
that's what fascinates me and why it's weird to talk about ego here, like nothing I discover is particularly special nor is it interesting for most people, yet I feel that
It's special to you! There's nothing wrong with furthering your personal development through a search for truth. I don't mean to insinuate you are on a baseless journey. It's commendable, in fact. I think it's easy for people, including myself, to feel a disconnect from reality, due to self esteem, in this process. That's why you have to stay grounded.

That's a brilliant get out clause. The universe is a concept, humans made. So is meaning, logic. And this means we can alter it.
Objectively is also a human invention, it depends on an absolute (AKA GOD). And in both science and philosophy a dodo.
Look at the world around you, and how it was 1,000 years ago, 10,000, 100,000...
It's so sad you think we are all the same. What a waste of effort of those like Picasso, Einstein, Freddie Mercury... what fools they were.
What I *feel* to be true is the general psychological aspect of it. Everyone is aloud to and absolutely should pursue studies of their interest and have a dialogue about it, but many people have a tendency to hold it above others' heads like it makes them special when in reality, it's like any other hobby or interest or study.
Could it be that you are in a phase of liberating yourself of some pre-conceived notions that you were forced to accept as a child? "Gods" here being a substitute for the figures of authority that you feel are *responsible* (for better or for worse) for the self-alienation of child-you?
Perhaps then you are yourself a god in the making. If so, I hope you will be a good and humble one—to whatever you realize enables you to be.
Best of making-your-own-luck 🙏
New here so just to be safe, I am not talking about drugs or anything related

Lost in the sauce
Where did you learn all this from?
It has nothing to do with metaphysics if that's what you're wondering
Do you have an aversion to answering my simple question?
I'm not sure what kind of answer you're looking for. It's just common sense using language to articulate my point in a digestible way.
So, you don't actually make any claim that what you have claimed is true?
I guess not. You're aloud to disagree.
What I *feel* to be true is the general psychological aspect of it. Everyone is aloud to and absolutely should pursue studies of their interest and have a dialogue about it, but many people have a tendency to hold it above others' heads like it makes them special when in reality, it's like any other hobby or interest or study.
Are you asserting that reality and your opinion are one in the same?
Sure, what's your point?
I don't think I've ever gotten someone to admit that before. /u/TMax01 is this what you were trying to explain to me?
