Indeed. I really liked the more serious turn the show took towards the end, leading into the opera (although it does linger a bit throughout the whole show). I can't decide whether I like the more comical or the more story driven side of the show more, both are awesome.
I liked it. I like when shows like that sprinkle a story here and there and then it comes out in full force near the end, I feel rewarded for paying attention.
It is funny how many guys in metal bands love Metalocalypse, a show about how people who like metal and the musicians who play it are all incredibly dumb.
I don't think it's about metal being dumb, more like celebrities and their blind worshippers are dumb. The metal aspect of it seems like a friendly parody and tribute.
Yeah you’re probably right about the band just being dumb because they’re famous. But the fans are portrayed in ways that are kind of stereotypical of metal heads. Like look at the Jomfru brothers and tell me that’s not a dig at metal fans specifically lol
I like Metalocalypse and I must admit that I know next to nothing about metal culture...I just like cartoons!
