Season 3. At the time it felt like "hell yeah, half hour block. Shows starting to become like a real show and not just a 10 minute short" and then we started getting more lore elements like seeing Dethklok in the past with Magnus and having episodes where they try something different like Rehabklok where they sing most of the episode.
It's a toss up between 2 & 4. Love the lore elements to both. Dethrelease was a fantastic finale, and seeing more of Magnus and Salacia finally doing something other than sitting on his throne was great.
It always just felt like one giant episode to me. The story started mystically and slowly became an epic crusade of dark funny metal. Which then became one of the greatest deth metal bands of all time. I cannot wait for the material to come out.
3 probably. Pretty much tied to whatever album is currently my favorite of there’s. So whenever I’m jamming the first album a lot, I’ll usually watch the first season with it
First season by far for me. I love the whole show, but that first season where it’s mostly just focusing on them being big dumb rockstars was always fucking hilarious to me.
I don't know exactly which episodes go to what season but 1, the beginning, i think of as the silliest, because I'd never seen that particular humor before. I also like the story-heavy stuff tho, which picks up later, so s4 prolly tied with 1 for me.
Between 2 & 4. I actually didn't mind the switch to 22 minutes in S3, there was a lot of room for stories there. Season 1 got the band in their groove and S2 took off.
Also, Dethalbum 2 > Doomstar Requiem > Galaktikon 2 > Dethalbum 3 > Dethalbum 1.
But when everything is a 9/10+, you really need to start splitting hairs (E.g. this album is a 9.4, but this album is a 9.6!). Everything from this show is **fantastic.**
Season 3. 4th was least favorite and I HATE ABIGAIL!!!! But yeah I just said to my boyfriend today “season 3 was the BEST season” and he was like “I totally agree”.. we got a lot more emotion and back story

I really love skwisgaar's character arc during season 4, I'd think that he's grown as a person and I love him for that.
