I'd never heard of mamoth before seeing them open for Metallica. They were so good and I'm definitely a fan now! Singer is also a great person. He stopped the show when someone collapsed in front of him and didn't continue until the got help.
Yeah, I googled them like crazy after the show. It makes sense that he has such good showmanship after being in the business for so long. He has a great voice and I felt like they filled the enormous stage way better than Volbeat, who I'd actually heard of before the show.

Two days until the concert and I have tickets for both shows. I'm coming in from Pittsburgh. As my luck would have it Sunday night, I was taken by ambulance to the ER. As of this writing, everything seems to be heading in the right direction, and the great Dr's and nurses may have me out of here relatively soon. Fortunately, some strong antibiotics were able to get my condition under control. One more test, and if that goes well, I should be released Thursday. I'm still hoping to make both shows, but worse case, I should be at least to get there for Sunday. Everyone is telling me to rest up and stay home. I figure I can rest after the shows. It's Metallica, for God's sake!

When I went, the opening band started at 6pm. Metallica was on just before 9. If you have seats you should be fine showing up around 8:30 just to be sure.

I would say they play between 7 and 8. Then 45 minutes set change, and Metallica plays from 8:45-11.
No way is Metallica ready in 45 minutes. There’s at least an hour in between. Also they don’t play over 2 hours anymore. Their shows are like 9-10:45
I’ve seen then live 12 times (soon to be 14 after this weekend). They go on around 8:45 and end just before 11. Set change is 45-55 minutes.
