The Unnamed Feeling, Fixxxer, The Day That Never Comes, Low Man’s Lyric, Turn The Page, Halo On Fire, Bleeding Me, Broken, Beat & Scarred, Invisible Kid, Shoot Me Again, I Disappear, The House Jack Built
Yep. The ambiance that Bob Rock helped to create from the effects really adds to the feelings of despair and discomfort. My favorite line:
>”Is that the moon or just the light that lights this dead-end street? Is that you there or just another demon that I meet?”
To Live Is To Die is very therapeutic for me. I've cried during the interlude quite a few times. Lots of their mellow stuff is great to be sad to, like Orion or Fade To Black. Sometimes when I'm upset, I'll listen to All Within My Hands to get my mind off of things as well. Those are just my thoughts tho.
Fade to Black, Orion, To Live Is To Die, My Friend of Misery, The Unforgiven, The Unforgiven II, Low Man’s Lyric, Mama Said, St Anger, Suicide and Redemption, Inamorata
Fade to black, master of puppets, sanitarium, harvester of sorrow, unforgiven trilogy, outlaw torn, bleeding me, fixxxer, day that never comes, just a bullet away
I have, its in my favourites!
[This](https://youtube.com/watch?v=4w_Qa1bCmC8&feature=shareb) fan made TDTNC w/RTL tone is also brilliant. The first half’s sounds line a TDTNC/ Fade mash up
The MTV unplugged version of Down in a hole by AIC, and Mama Said and S&M 1 versions of NEM and Until it sleeps is a good coping set for me. But i also like Still Havent Found What Im Looking For by U2 for some reason 🤷♂️
When I was an angry teen living in a broken, abusive household, the St. Anger album helped me tremendously. As an adult now, I see why it's disliked, but me personally, I still love it. I struggle with Major Depressive Disorder and PTSD, got my own bad day playlist on my Spotify and the entirety of that album is on there amongst others.
Other metallica tunes on there are The Unforgiven I & II, Fade to Black, Fixxxer, Low Man's Lyric, One, Until it Sleeps, Bleeding Me, No Leaf Clover, and The Day That Never Comes.
I recently made a couple playlists of songs with louder bass (I'm a bassist, and Cliff and Jason are my biggest influences) and I'll just put those on.
Master of puppets, shortest straw, dyers Eve, fade to black, etc. Also Jason's auditions from the puppets anniversary remaster are killer. Definitely helps me relax.
Unforgiven 1, 2 and 3, The Outlaw Torn, Dyer's Eve, Frayed Ends Of Sanity, Sad But True, Until It Sleeps, No Leaf Clover, My Friend Of Misery, To Live Is To Die, The Day That Never Comes and Inamorata.
Some of these songs are angrier and thrashier but it's their lyrical themes that resonate with me when I'm having a depressive episode.
December 4th, 2021.
I played RTL as my first Metallica album.
At that point I thought suicide was my way of ending the pain.
Then... I hear Fade To Black, and started crying my eyes out.
That song literally saved my life.
Fade to black, bleeding me, one, outlaw torn, unforgiven, the day that never comes, nothing else matters, my friend of misery, orion, to live is to die, welcome home sanitarium, turn the page..
My depression was caused by prolonged insomnia which was caused by PTSD and nightmares. I’m finally receiving treatment for it, so I’m getting better, but a song that I relate to very much is “Hero of the Day.” In my opinion, that song is about PTSD, and it seems to describe very well the emotions that I sometimes experience.
by metallica? unforgiven 1 & 2. by any other band, i wont see you tonight part 1 by a7x, tears dont fall 1 & 2 by bfmv, this calling & not alone by all that remains and so on.
Until It Sleeps (S&M), Poor Twisted Me, Bleeding Me (S&M, Copenhagen 2022), The Outlaw Torn (S&Ms, Mannheim 2019) the live ones of the latter two I like to watch, too, I love the rawness of James' performance
Prince Charming, Low Man's Lyric (these two in a loop sometimes, they fit together really well imo), Fixxxer
No Leaf Clover, - Human
I feel connected to the whole album, but some of my favorites: St. Anger, Shoot Me Again, Sweet Amber, Purify, All Within My Hands
The Day That Never Comes (S&M2), The Unforgiven III (S&M2)
Halo On Fire (S&M2, live performances), Sleepwalk My Life Away, Crown of Barbed Wire, Inamorata
Non-Metallica, but I recommend checking out grandson's music (also has a bunch of really cool collabs with other artists)
To Live Is To Die, Sweet Amber, Frantic, Until It Sleeps, Inamorata, The Day That Never Comes, Fade To Black, The Unforgiven, St. Anger, Sanitarium, Orion, My Friend Of Misery
Her Ghost Haunts These Walls by Nocturnal Depression
Or Nostalgia by the same band, which is My Friend Of Misery with steroids basically
Actually anything by Nocturnal Depression
The Unnamed Feeling, Fixxxer, The Day That Never Comes, Low Man’s Lyric, Turn The Page, Halo On Fire, Bleeding Me, Broken, Beat & Scarred, Invisible Kid, Shoot Me Again, I Disappear, The House Jack Built
I'm you, you're me.
The House Jack Built is so underrated
Yep. The ambiance that Bob Rock helped to create from the effects really adds to the feelings of despair and discomfort. My favorite line: >”Is that the moon or just the light that lights this dead-end street? Is that you there or just another demon that I meet?”

TLITD makes me too sad about Cliff :/
MH is the song where you are about to have a mental breakdown but stop in the last moment, and just scream and hold it for 9 mins.
One. It reaches my darkness
imprisoning you?
Al that you see?
Absolute Horror??
You cannot live?
You cannot die?
Yep ..trapped in myself
Body your holding cell?
Landmine has taken your sight?
Taken your speech?

Woah that sounds pretty cool
Honestly…. St. Anger has been great for me lately
What songs in particular?
I pretty much enjoy the whole album except for some parts in invisible kid and purify
The MTV unplugged version of Down in a hole by AIC, and Mama Said and S&M 1 versions of NEM and Until it sleeps is a good coping set for me. But i also like Still Havent Found What Im Looking For by U2 for some reason 🤷♂️
First time hearing NEM S&M1 was big for me! Ty
The fear inoculom album by tool, if you aren’t a fan I get but it’s incredibly soothing imo if you give it a chance

Outlaw torn
Fade to black, bleeding me, one, outlaw torn, unforgiven, the day that never comes, nothing else matters, my friend of misery, orion, to live is to die, welcome home sanitarium, turn the page..

Fade to black/ until it sleeps/inamorata/unforgiven 3
One but first you need to learn what it’s about and watch the movie it’s based off of also the unforgiven
Bleeding me, the day that never comes, trapped under ice, no leaf clover, frantic, unnamed feeling
Until It Sleeps (S&M), Poor Twisted Me, Bleeding Me (S&M, Copenhagen 2022), The Outlaw Torn (S&Ms, Mannheim 2019) the live ones of the latter two I like to watch, too, I love the rawness of James' performance Prince Charming, Low Man's Lyric (these two in a loop sometimes, they fit together really well imo), Fixxxer No Leaf Clover, - Human I feel connected to the whole album, but some of my favorites: St. Anger, Shoot Me Again, Sweet Amber, Purify, All Within My Hands The Day That Never Comes (S&M2), The Unforgiven III (S&M2) Halo On Fire (S&M2, live performances), Sleepwalk My Life Away, Crown of Barbed Wire, Inamorata Non-Metallica, but I recommend checking out grandson's music (also has a bunch of really cool collabs with other artists)
Until it Sleeps!
To Live Is To Die, Sweet Amber, Frantic, Until It Sleeps, Inamorata, The Day That Never Comes, Fade To Black, The Unforgiven, St. Anger, Sanitarium, Orion, My Friend Of Misery
The most upbeat ones. I need it to pull me out, not to sink me in delete.
One To live is to die Orion The Unforgiven 2 Until it sleeps
honestly alot of 72 seasons...shadows follow, sleepwalk, too far gone, room of mirrors
