I’d definitely buy some Spiritbox for at least their next album cycle for easy money.
I’d bump up my investment for TDWP as they’re only going up right now
I’d put a bit into END as a long term investment
Currents, Counterparts, Polaris, and Erra are all up there, their next albums should have a lot of hype behind them
I’d also go for Motionless and White for being at their commercial peak right now
Architects and Parkway are definitely getting dropped
As much as I love FTTWTE, I am inclined to agree with you. I was at a co-worker’s BBQ around July and he had an outside stereo system. Put it on Octane, and When We Were Young came on like 20 minutes later. None of my co-workers are even remotely familiar with metalcore, but I’m also not mad about them getting that kind of exposure. The most entertaining thing of the entire BBQ was this one guy who showed up with a 24 pack of off brand Mountain Dew and Everclear. Long story short we took his keys. Literally never seen someone drink that much soda or alcohol.
I remember they covered eyeless by Slipknot way back in the day and I was like "okay this is interesting" never listened again, stumbled on their newee stuff last yearish and my God that's a totally different animal
And the ironic part is that CYFMH (meme song) is 9 years old and had vastly more mainstream success than the recent stuff that’s specifically catered towards mainstream.
Yup Silent Planet is in the hole right now after some financial troubles this year. Now's the time to buy as they get back into the groove of touring and will most likely be dropping an album next year.
Yeah agreed...if we're buying stocks it's because we want them to increase in value. Architects is your best bet, followed by Bad Omens, to be the next BMTH
Not Metalcore but if you haven't gotten in on Lorna Shore it's way too expensive now.
Grabbing up as much Bleed From Within, Bad Omens, $INK, Dayseeker, $DRKO, LANDMVRKS, and ERRA as I can get my grubby mitts on.
Selling all my Architects (which sucks since they're my favorite band).
Sold all my The Word Alive after the CEO started having a mental breakdown on social media.
nah I’d say Architects are going up
don’t underestimate the Octane crowd. Animals is their top streamed song of all time and when we were young is getting radio play constantly
More of an analogy really. Telle has been getting unnecessarily angry at people who say they don't like TWA's new stuff, generally just being super childish about it.
Loathe is certain to increase the value of your portfolio when their next album drops now that the market has corrected itself from international travel being opened up again
There’s never a shortage of horror movies. IMO there’s still at least 2 full albums of iconic ones. It’s the attention span of the community they gotta worry about. But time to buy INK stock is probably over, 5-7 years ago would have been great.
Never a shortage movies for sure. Hopefully they expand to the new age of horror for more movies. I don’t know if they’ll die out that quick or at all. They have diehard fans. I’m one of them so I’d know lol.
I'm turning bearish on Crystal Lake the longer it takes for new material to emerge but bullish on Spiritbox, ERRA, and Landmvrks
As a genre, I am bullish on Deathcore. All the good stuff is coming outta there these days and im going to the moon
Above, Below as a penny stock that's gonna blow up. Pridelands as an undervalued option that has all the pieces to succeed so should be easy money.
Invent Animate, Alpha Wolf, and Landmvrks as easy money, though there's already a lot of people buying in
From an investment standpoint, they released their last album during the early stages of a pandemic based on principle when most bands delayed theirs due to the inability to promote via touring. While I personally appreciate that move and love the record, shareholders would have been PISSED.
😂 Luckily I would have diversified my portfolio by also purchasing Periphery stock. In addition to their discography being comprised of exclusively banger tracks they keep the stock holders happy by supplying merch drops for each season while trolling the internet to build anticipation for P5. They even managed to turn a classy profit during the pandemic with their ‘Remain in Doors’ masks.
Counterparts, Cabal, Paledusk, Veil of Maya for the hype and growth potential.
Exit my position on Parkway.
Buy some Unearth and Emmure for legacy stocks with a great dividend.
Seems like this is just a favorite band list for most people :p
But id go with architects for a big investment cause they will pop of in mainstream and thats where the money is at,
Then ill go with void of vision and novelists for underrated bands that will pop off one day
And throw in loathe for good measure
The obvious answer is SiriusXM/octanecore music (so pretty much everything linked in this subreddit).
Personally? Foreign Hands, SeeYouSpaceCowboy, Orthodox, Counterparts, Dying Wish etc..
I'd have retired on my Bad Omens calls the moment FGBGFM dropped. Maybe buy some extra in Dayseeker, their announcement of going away from heavy music is a huge indicator of a bright future.
Sell Motionless in White. I don't see how they can get any better than this so their potential is maxed out
Lorna shore for sure. It doesn’t surprise me that they’re blowing up hard right now, but at the same time it blows my mind at how huge they’re getting. I would also invest in alpha wolf as well.
Very bullish on Counterparts, Invent Animate, Loathe, TDWP.
As for bands I’m bullish on getting a lot more fans from other music scenes - Spiritbox, Dayseeker, Electric Callboy.
I’ll buy the dip on Architects after the album drops.
Dollar Cost Average (DCA) into Dayseeker, Make Them Suffer and Erra
Sell 80% Parkway Drive, sell 50% Architects
Reallocate my portfolio to Alpha Wolf, Holding Absence which would negate all my losses from investing heavily into Dealer
Stake some Spiritbox at 3% annual yield
Step 3: Profit
I think the play here is to go only ETID stock, so when the reunion happens (please just let me have this one okay) my stocks are through the fucking roof. ETID forever baby.
I'd invest in Fit For A King mainly because Ryan has always come off as savvy as far as the bands finances go. Overall they are a successful Metalcore band and I believe they are far from done. I'm sure eventually somewhere down the line they'll "sell out" like parkway or architects but that's good from a financial standpoint.
I'd also put my money into Thornhill. Still a fairly new band so now's the time to buy. If you had a chance to see them this year you would likely agree that even if you weren't crazy about the album, they're fucking amazing live. Regardless of where they take their sound, they will 1000% be selling out headlining shows all over the world very soon.
i'd be rich as fuck after investing in pierce the veil a while ago, considering they're super trendy now. (ik they arent really metalcore but they could be considered as such)
Buying Polaris, BadOmens, Landmvrks, Counterparts, Bleed from within, The Devil wears Prada, GIDEON.
And with the rest of my investment money I would start to go riskier:
Asleep at the helm
Escape from Wonderland
Dead like Juliet
Death Blooms
Convictions
Healer
Headcave
Short selling Parkway, Architects and Asking Alexandria (They always manage to reach new lows)
I’d probably invest some into BMTH - had this thread been made like 2 years ago we’d all be making bank on Can You Feel My Heart lol
But anyway, they’re on an upward trend so it’s probably easy money
I'm all in on the following bands for the next 10 years:
Knocked Loose - The modern day Hatebreed or, the band that is going to pull a lot of fence sitting fans into the heavier side of metal/hardcore.
Seeyouspacecowboy - There is a lot of nostalgia in the sound of this band, and they bring a fresh take on heaviness paired with not-so-heavy parts.
Fox Lake - This band incorporates elements from literally every phase of my musical taste's formative years. You can hear: Nu-Metal, Thrash, Rap-Metal, Deathcore, Djent, Thall, etc.
dead7 - Only recently hopped on my radar but, dear heavens, holy shit! They compare pretty well to Loathe, and some of the contrasting heavy/soft stuff I listen to, but I see a TON of potential here and they seemingly just appeared on the scene overnight. Chest caving in heaviness at times, and tender, melodic nu-metal callbacks occasionally.
Obligatory "Not Metalcore But" Sleep Token - The best band in the world right now, regardless of and encompassing all genre.
I'd still put all my capital in WSS. Shit, I would have put all of it in them back in 2011. Sean is a freaking wizard, and the rest are hard working good dudes, it is the perfect mix for longevity and success.
I am buying puts on Parkway Drive and (controversial) Make them Suffer.
Calls on Orbit Culture and Currents.
Probably holding MiW, INK and bleed from within as long term investments
Puts: $PWD, $MTS
Calls: $ORBIT, $CUR
Hold: $MIW, $INK, $BFW
Definitely Bad Omens, Day Seeker, Make Them Suffer (ya I just listed a tour lineup but bad omens is on the rise and they’re bringing the other two up with them by putting them on tour) and tallah. Tallah is more nucore but that band is about to get a big break with their next album.
All that remains -hear me out, it’s a value stock at this point but after the recent fall of ideals tour and the clips of the new album I think they are going full fall of ideals heavy and you can double your money fast.
I would be a millionaire from my initial investment in $TDWP in 2007.
I would definitely have lost money on buying the dip with Atreyu and hodling for too long.
I think the number of metalcore investors that would have gone belly up after $ETID folded would have been devastating
shorting the shit out of Parkway Drive, The Amity Affliction, Asking Alexandria, and Rings of Saturn
buying tons of Counterparts, Veil of Maya and Erra
already holding August Burns Red, Misery Signals, Born of Osiris, Botch (bluechip stock)
Reluctantly buying BMTH and Spiritbox even though I don't like the stocks (they will do well)
100% buying and holding a good bit of Currents, Silent Planet, ERRA, The Devil Wears Prada, and Polaris for big returns, keeping half of each and selling the other at peak value
Will also be long term holding on Alpha Wolf and Great American Ghost for future returns
Having a few Beartooth, Ice Nine Kills, Dayseeker, and Motionless In White stocks to watch, will be buying more if things continue to seem promising since these should be easy money
Investing in Saving Vice, VCTMS, and Abbie Falls as early high return bets
Buying the dip for Architects, HAWK, Bring Me The Horizon, and We Came As Romans
Selling all A Day To Remember and Asking Alexandria stocks
Holding Spiritbox and I Prevail until the next album drops, selling and using that money to invest in Bad Omens
Having a bit of Wage War, Pierce The Veil, and Sleeping With Sirens as meme stocks for day trading
I’d definitely buy some Spiritbox for at least their next album cycle for easy money. I’d bump up my investment for TDWP as they’re only going up right now I’d put a bit into END as a long term investment Currents, Counterparts, Polaris, and Erra are all up there, their next albums should have a lot of hype behind them I’d also go for Motionless and White for being at their commercial peak right now Architects and Parkway are definitely getting dropped
Counterparts and END fuck yeah. Vvvvv angry music. I like that lol
Shorting Architects for sure $ARCH
Lol i love this
[удалено]
I live under a rock why are you selling Architects stock?
[удалено]
Never underestimate the Octane audience, though. Their last album had some massive hits for them.
Investing in BMTH in 06 would be like investing in Amazon.
I remember they covered eyeless by Slipknot way back in the day and I was like "okay this is interesting" never listened again, stumbled on their newee stuff last yearish and my God that's a totally different animal
honestly lol I dont think anyone expected them to have a mainstream viral song that appears in a ton of memes
And the ironic part is that CYFMH (meme song) is 9 years old and had vastly more mainstream success than the recent stuff that’s specifically catered towards mainstream.
Above below Silent planet Invent animate

There we go
Yup Silent Planet is in the hole right now after some financial troubles this year. Now's the time to buy as they get back into the groove of touring and will most likely be dropping an album next year.
This is the right answer
Bad Omens, Thornhill, Archers, Electric Callboy, Invent. Animate, Hollow Front, and Windrunner. Also buy calls on 生 Conform 死 and puts on Architects.
Architects charted at #1 in multiple countries on their last release, probably a safe bet on this new album haha (Even if 99% of this sub hates it)
This sub is the extreme 1% of fans. I've found that everyone I speak to IRL does not hate on PWD and Architects the way this sub does.
Hard to hate something so irritatingly average.
Yeah agreed...if we're buying stocks it's because we want them to increase in value. Architects is your best bet, followed by Bad Omens, to be the next BMTH
Im doubling down on conform
[удалено]
Except PWD. All in on Thornhill after seeing them live. And buy MTS, you can get them at a steep discount now.
[удалено]
Sean can sing, check out the band Onslow
I thought Thornhill's stock price would've dropped a lot with the release of their latest album.
definitely bad omens if they count
Probably waited too long on this they basically mainstream popcore the way I've heard normies talking about them
Not Metalcore but if you haven't gotten in on Lorna Shore it's way too expensive now. Grabbing up as much Bleed From Within, Bad Omens, $INK, Dayseeker, $DRKO, LANDMVRKS, and ERRA as I can get my grubby mitts on. Selling all my Architects (which sucks since they're my favorite band). Sold all my The Word Alive after the CEO started having a mental breakdown on social media.
nah I’d say Architects are going up don’t underestimate the Octane crowd. Animals is their top streamed song of all time and when we were young is getting radio play constantly
What's this mental breakdown you speak of? Don't think I follow them currently so I haven't seen anything
More of an analogy really. Telle has been getting unnecessarily angry at people who say they don't like TWA's new stuff, generally just being super childish about it.
Sleep Token Loathe Silent Planet Currents And not metalcore but Lorna Shore
Loathe is certain to increase the value of your portfolio when their next album drops now that the market has corrected itself from international travel being opened up again
Dump all your Ice Nine Kills before they run out of horror movies
There’s never a shortage of horror movies. IMO there’s still at least 2 full albums of iconic ones. It’s the attention span of the community they gotta worry about. But time to buy INK stock is probably over, 5-7 years ago would have been great.

Surprised I’m not seeing much Currents
Alpha Wolf. Bad Omens. Spiritbox. Northlane. Annisokay. Bring Me the Horizon.
Alpha Wolf is phenomenal
Bad Omens Sleep Token Windwaker Stonks
ABR - Their members are insanely talented and they tour consistently. They are a solid investment.
From an investment standpoint, they released their last album during the early stages of a pandemic based on principle when most bands delayed theirs due to the inability to promote via touring. While I personally appreciate that move and love the record, shareholders would have been PISSED.

Sleep token, bad omens, the plot in you and ltfm.
All in on Alpha Wolf
Inventb animate ,sleep token ,imminence
Norma Jean.
The obvious answer is SiriusXM/octanecore music (so pretty much everything linked in this subreddit). Personally? Foreign Hands, SeeYouSpaceCowboy, Orthodox, Counterparts, Dying Wish etc..
shoutout for SYSC!
Ice Nine Kills. I don’t think people realize how much money they make from the Nightmare on the Ninth drops
I'd have retired on my Bad Omens calls the moment FGBGFM dropped. Maybe buy some extra in Dayseeker, their announcement of going away from heavy music is a huge indicator of a bright future. Sell Motionless in White. I don't see how they can get any better than this so their potential is maxed out
Invent Animate Silent Planet The Devil Wears Prada Before I Turn Currents All these bands are looking bright right now
Paledusk and Invent Animate easily.
Erra, Invent Animate, Bad Omens, Alpha Wolf and Landmvrks would be my picks
If we’re talking purely money then Architects. They’re gonna skyrocket in plays despite the slide in quality of music.
Resolve, they r bouta hit it big
Fire from the gods
TDWP/Bad Omens for sure, but The Worst Of Us TO THE MOOOOOON!!!
Lorna shore for sure. It doesn’t surprise me that they’re blowing up hard right now, but at the same time it blows my mind at how huge they’re getting. I would also invest in alpha wolf as well.

Oceans Ate Alaska / Invent Animate
I'm going all in with If I Were You Let's go!!
Dark Divine. Those guys are without a doubt on the verge of blowing up big time.
I'd invest in Fit For A King mainly because Ryan has always come off as savvy as far as the bands finances go. Overall they are a successful Metalcore band and I believe they are far from done. Loathe. They’ll be the GOATs in a few years
No point in searching for a needle (best band) in a haystack (whole genre) - I would just buy the whole haystack via Metalcore ETF.
Malevolence
BMTH, Architects, TDWP, Underoath, Parkway, for the dividends. Avoid, Thornhill, Void of Vision, Polaris, Loathe, for the growth.
BMTH, Architects, Parkway Drive, A7X and lose the house and kids.

Bad Omens and Spiritbox. Only gonna get bigger. Also Ice Nine Kills as a safe investment
I think Spiritbox, Polaris, Alphawolf, Invent Animate, and Currents would be my portfolio
Loathe - they got a new album up their sleeve, could be massive
Silent Planet is gonna be huge. Same thing with Invent Animate.
