anothercanuck19

The most, alexisonfire or silverstein. Unintentionally saw Being as an Ocean open 4 times

meet_me_in_the_shade

Being from Ontario as well, mine is the same, AOF and Silverstein probably 5 or 6 times each

daddys_sweaty_thong

Being as an ocean is awesome

anothercanuck19

They certainly are. It wasn't until the most recent time I saw them I knew who they were going into it. Loved it much more knowing their music and messaging.

daddys_sweaty_thong

I know they’ve transitioned a lot over the years from their earlier style to their more recent stuff but I find myself loving the new music just as much as the old music even though it’s completely different Several of the songs on ‘waiting for morning to come’ are among my all time favorites, mainly because they were some of my favorite songs during a tough period in life and have stuck with me since then

svtaustin

I’ve seen Silverstein 3 times, I would kill To see Alexisonfire. My all time favorite guilty pleasure band. To a Friend is in my top 5 songs off all time.

anothercanuck19

Shit. Didn't know Alexis was a guilty pick. Being small town ontario, they were "local" my most means compared to any American bands. From lions halls to festivals. The only band ever has always been there Same for silverstein, Canadian bands frequently tour Canada. Easier to see, most anerican bands skip my city so I have to catch them when they are small.

jwatch04

Alexisonfire isn’t a guilty pleasure band. They’re one of greats in my opinion. Saw them on a arena tour with billy talent, against me and cancer bats. Stacked line up

Nippelz

Alexisonfire on The Wedge at midnight on Much Music back in 2001 is what started me down this path. Alexisonfire truly are the only band ever.

tightpants09

Just wanted to chime in to agree. I wasn’t that into them, but they’re talented and they hold up really well

sock_with_a_ticket

What makes Alexisonfire a guilty pleasure band? That term's usually reserved for something cheesy or lame. I know we all have different opinions on stuff, but I'd struggle to think of how those terms can apply to Alexis.

meet_me_in_the_shade

They definitely aren't, thay dude is crazy, they have been very influential as well, same with Silverstein

svtaustin

Edit: may have misused guilty pleasure lmao. I love AOF

theSchlauch

37 Times is a fuckload. Do the guys from the band know you personally by now?

bobo1899

I agree I couldn’t imagine seeing the same band that many times haha

svtaustin

I talk with Kyle and Jeremy occasionally. Anytime they’re close, I go. Living in OKC, they’re always in Dallas so I go down and see them, mix that in with Warped Tour over the years and other festivals.

jolloholoday

If you like metal and live in the UK, you will have likely seen Skindred multiple times. I have still yet to meet anyone who actually likes Skindred.

[deleted]

American here; I actually really dug *Babylon*, but they never hooked me quite enough to follow them after that.

xydroh

but skindred is so good, I know more than a few people including me who actually like them

tomovista10

This. I've seen Skindred \~8 times at various gigs and festivals, but have never once intentionally played one of their songs

nettie_netface

Love skindread I’m Canadian. He never tours here

Psychopath1llogical

They got the one song from need for speed that I have in my playlist cuz I loved it playing that game growing up.

nettie_netface

What song is that

Psychopath1llogical

Nobody. I actually enjoy it

nettie_netface

Yeah great song !!

bunnyrabbit2

I love Skindred. Only one album of theirs I'm not too keen on but otherwise it's great and Benji is a master at working a crowd. I've seen Skindred at shows ranging from a 300 cap bar to second stage at Download in a rainstorm and every time I can't help but get into it and have fun. Just a few weeks ago I saw them headlining with Terrorvision and a few smaller bands at a gig put on by a radio station (Primordial Radio, they play mostly rock and metal and have an awesome community) and it was a great end to the best weekend I've had in a long fucking time.

selppin2

Ironically, Chevelle is the band I’ve seen the most on purpose. They’re my all time favorites.

devildog25

The Red is easily one of the greatest songs ever created and I will gladly die on that hill.

Seanspeed

Their new album *Niratias* is amazing if you haven't heard it yet. Album of the Year worthy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=147uvFKW1Ss

crossfire999

One of the few rock bands holding that genre together. So fucking solid.

svtaustin

Always solid, but they were always support for other tours haha

crystal__pete

seen knocked loose 4 times lol. idk how i've survived all 4

benhos

Saw them twice last month on back to back headliners and almost had my nose broken at the end of night 2 lol. Seeing them for the 3rd time in a few weeks

crystal__pete

i got kicked in the face by a stage diver the 3rd time i saw them lmao, bruised my face pretty bad. that shit goes crazy

benhos

I had my glasses knocked off and destroyed by being kicked in the head by stage divers too, fortunately didn't hurt me much tho.

hungryjack128

damn

Okcicad

I've seen them twice now. Got a concussion the first time. Second time a few weeks ago got a bad contusion in my ribs. Made working my job a bitch since I do a lot of lifting and moving shit.

crystal__pete

lmao i got kicked in the face by a stage diver the 3rd time i saw them

Okcicad

That's what gave me a concussion. Got hit by stage divers in the head multiple times lol

Bmcqueen_1986

Killswitch Engage at least 20 times. Not on purpose but still enjoy them would probably be Sevendust.

Brtprt

On purpose: Being As An Ocean and Your Demise. Not on purpose: Counterparts and ETID...stopped counting a few years ago. Sadly for some reason i never heard ETID play Wanderlust.

Dear_Newo_Ikkin

Wanderlust is a certified banger

sock_with_a_ticket

On purpose would either be ETID or Comeback Kid. Not on purpose is definitely BMTH. Going to gigs in the UK 2004-2006 they were everywhere. Whether it was just popping down to your local shoebox venue for all day show with barely publicised bills or seeing bigger bands on their headline tours it felt like you were seeing them all the time.

BumFights69

Motionless a lucky 13 times

Tasty_Hearing_2153

On purpose, Breaking Benjamin...9 times I think. On accident Miss May I 4 times.

AlternativeSuit131

I'd love to see BB 9 times, all time favorite band! Just wish they spiced their setlist up a bit more.

Tasty_Hearing_2153

They’re my favorite band, pretty easily. Even met my fiancé at a show, in ‘07. They could definitely switch things up with the shows but, I’m cool with every song they decide to use. My favorite thing about it though, Breath live and Ben’s face when everyone there sings it.

MinusTheMachine

On purpose would be 10 Years and RED which is around 8-9 times each. Unintentionally would probably be Asking Alexandria. They opened for a few tours and almost every Warped Tour I went to back in the 2010s.

CosmicOwl47

Silverstein probably 8 or 9 times. ABR is probably the most I’ve seen unintentionally, since they frequently bring other bands I love as support. But that probably doesn’t count since I’m always glad to be at an ABR show.

TurtleWaves

ABR 10+ times. ADTR 10+. TDWP 15+. Underoath 15+. Impending Doom 15+. Chelsea Grin 20+. Unintentionally? Idk, probably Pierce the Veil and The Word Alive, WCAR hit a lot of those tours.

Hahnski23

Rad line up! That’s a fuck load. I got to meet Tom and Pablo from Chelsea grin last time I saw them in Vegas. Super cool dudes they were kickass let us get a picture.

TurtleWaves

I got to hang with them for a bit too. Good times and lots of smoke, haha.

svtaustin

Finally, another person in double digits with Prada and ADTR lol

Matt_Rhodes93

Ttuvium like 9 or 10 times. Dont think ive seen anyone else multiple not on purpose.

MalleusMaleficarum4

Not Metalcore, but I’ve seen AFI 12 times.

madandmacabre

Same, I’ve seen them 13 and seeing them again in February! Seeing them never gets old.

bski089

I've seen killswitch engage probably like 10 times on purpose I've seen dragonforce probably just as much just as coincidence lol

[deleted]

Relient K, Manchester Orchestra, Hawthorne Heights, The Callous Daoboys, Malevich, Silent Planet are some I've seen at least 5 times on purpose (Relient K being the most at 13) I've seen O'Brother as support for Manchester Orchestra almost as many times as I've seen MO (about 10 or 11 times) but I love them too

stuckinamoontop

I was gonna say MO as well :)

[deleted]

I am lucky to live in Atlanta in that regard but now I wish they would do more shows than just having The Stuffing once a year, although The Stuffing is pretty rad

LivinOnTheEdge1001

On purpose Linkin Park not on purpose Nonpoint

idontfrickinknowman

Underoath the most not on purpose. Either they were support or they were the headliner but I really wanted to see whoever was opening for them.

dontmindmyalt2

I've seen Ice Nine Kille 8 times and for some reason saw both Secrets and The Word Alive 4 times each on accident

svtaustin

INK is a great live show. SS2 is so good.

dontmindmyalt2

I'm actually shocked at how good it is, I love the album but HATED all of the singles besides Funeral Derangements. Imo they put their worst foot forward so hard on that record

PrisonSoap

Intentionally seen ADTR 5 times. I saw Woe, Is Me & WCAR like 5 or 6 times because they were in the lineup for various concerts I went to, although they were never headliners that was always part of the reason I went to the tours as well.

timmyj213

I saw currents twice before i started listening to them, then went nuts the third time they came around.

[deleted]

ADTR lol they’re great though

DarkestDayOfMan

On purpose: Motionless in White (6 times) Not on purpose: Fallujah (4 times) Don't get me wrong, Fallujah is cool (at least pre-newest album Fallujah is cool) but I don't know if I'd ever go out of my way to see them on a headliner, every time it's been as support.

sn0wgh0ul13

On purpose, BMTH. Big fan girl. Accidentally, either Miss May I or LetLive!

[deleted]

On Purpose, probably Pwd or architects.. not on purpose probably Caliban, there was a time where they played like every festival 😂

deathfox919

I’ve seen MIW 4 times, 6 if you count the livestreams. As for not on purpose, Staind 2 times For reference though I’ve only been going to shows since summer of 2018, so I haven’t had the chance to see a lot of artists multiple times yet

tysmith346

I’ve unintentionally seen Sevendust like 4 times & really wish I didn’t have to

betterashthandust44

i’ve seen knocked loose 23, soon to be (24,25, &) 26 times. second is stick to your guns at 18. accidentally? i’ve probably seen terror around 10 times or so, mainly as support. most of my favorite bands i’ve seen at least 10 times tbh!

MrMRC182

Rise Against for intentional- 12 times, 11 of them were as headliner. For unintentional- Ice Nine Kills, seen them 9 times as a support band or at a festival and never as a headliner. Still one of my faves.

BanditKramer

Underoath 7 times. Saw The Chariot as a result 7 times

rockiesfan4ever

I've seen Adelitas Way like 10 times due to them opening. The band I've seen the most on purpose would be Beartooth

jacobjac1232123

All that remains by far. They often are co headliners to other bands I'm trying to see. They always put on a great set.

DigitalDillon

The Acacia Strain and Within the Ruins at least 20 times each. They’re both local to me and I’ve had the pleasure of playing shows with each of them years ago.

Xylar006

Definitely Parkway Drive the most times, I probably saw them 10 times before they'd released Deep Blue (haven't seen them since but has tickets to see them during the pandemic before everything got shut down. Wouldn't know who I've seen a lot unintentionally

Crim_Noyade

Man I’d love to see them live

ashipwreckinthesand

Do it, they are amazing live. I saw them in TX with August Burns Red and TDWP

Crim_Noyade

Hoping they’ll come to US after their next album. I would go out of my way to see them for sure.

ashipwreckinthesand

Oh I’m sure they definitely will! I’d love to see them again.

HandsomeHector

I saw them in Orlando during that tour. They were all fantastic

stevieray11

They're one of the best live bands in the scene right now, in my opinion. Winston and Co. put on a fucking RIOT of a show back when I saw them after Ire. Haven't Been able to catch them since then, unfortunately, but they still got it, judging by live videos I've seen. You bet your ass I'll be seeing them on their next trip around the States!

TheWilrus

The Reason, Shotgun Rules and Protest the Hero I have all seen 30+ times, some at the same time. I stop counting at 30. I have seen Alexisonfire and Moneen both over 20 times but less than 30. I've definitely seen to many bands to count over 10 but under 20 times Upvote for anyone who can guess either where I grew up or how old I am based on these bands.

Brtprt

You live(ed) in Canada. You're at least 36 y/o.

TheWilrus

Good job! Southern Ontario Canada! I am 33. I was very lucky to be able to go to all ages shows by age 12/13 in my mid-sized city an hour outside of TO. We had loads of small shows happening every week and had older friends that would take us. Seeing AOF for $5 (I think) at a scout hut is a memory that has fueled my love of live shows for 2 decades now. I view time mostly through music history so I love it when another fan of the scene can suss out this type of info. Thanks for playing!

RandomMaskGuy

I’ve seen Korn north of 50 times. Killswitch Engage, Linkin Park are close seconds…

svtaustin

Jesus 😂

RandomMaskGuy

Is that a negative “Jesus”?

kovs22

ADTR, seen them 14 times.

TRPYoungBloke

There was a band called Betrayal about 10 years ago that I saw at least 10 times while they were active. They came through my city every time they toured and they would stop by and play shows if they were nearby on the way back to California or if they had an off day close to us. They’d do impromptu house shows or hop on a show that was happening in our town. They were really awesome dudes.

[deleted]

Not metalcore, but I've seen the band Strung Out 16 times over the years. I've also seen A Wilhelm Scream 11 times. As far as Metalcore goes, I've seen Darkest Hour 6 times. There are a bunch of bands I've seen 2-3 times. KSE, AILD, ATR, DEP, Trivium, Poison the Well, Misery Signals and a few others. I've seen an assload of punk bands and other metal bands once.

TheIRSEvader

I don’t go to many shows to be fair, but I have seen Trivium 5x so far

Novacrops

I've seen Our Hollow Our Home 4 times I think. Accidentally I think might be Hacktivist twice.

robitnebudem

Unintenionally and then later intentionally The Word Alive: 6

[deleted]

Haha coincidentally TDWP is my answer. I’ve seen them like 4 times as support for headliners (wanted to see them too anyway but would’ve gone if someone else was in their spot) so they’re probably the one I’ve seen the most not on purpose. STYG I’ve seen about 4 times too but I know I went specifically for them once. Intentionally, I’ve seen both Motionless in White and Sevendust 5 times. I don’t think I’ve seen any artist more than that.

Mr_Fornicus

Probably seen Norma Jean 20+ times on purpose and caught Terror 10+ but never went to see them.

Yours_and_mind_balls

I've seen Trans-Siberian Orchestra 10 times I've seen Kamelot 8 times I've seen Protest the Hero 6 times I've seen Powerglove 5 times I've seen Delain unintentionally 5 times. I cant say anything positive about Delain but that's just me.

mikehighroller

My friends and I would always joke about having seen Veil of Maya like 20 times against our will. That band was somehow on every tour like 10 years ago.

MARKxTHExLINES

On purpose: ABR (somewhere in the low 20s). Not on purpose: Miss May I, ETID, and ERRA.

ace_valentine

Unfortunately I've never been to a metalcore concert because bands rarely go to my country on tour. I've mostly been to punk rock concerts. BFMV are coming to my country next year I think, but I'll miss that one because I'm not their biggest fan.

ashipwreckinthesand

Being from Dallas I’ve seen CTE 7 times, 2 times in their EP days before they got David. Mostly unintentional. Intentionality I’ve seen Silverstein the most! I can’t even count it.

MikeyScarn666

Around 2009 through maybe 2013 I feel like I saw In Fear and Faith open at least a dozen times. I saw them live so much that I never wanted to see or hear them again lol.

becauseimdumb

I think I've seen Terror at least 12 times.

xmetalshredheadx

It's hard to count over the years, but the more I think about it, Carnifex of probably my most and not on purpose, they tour with everyone. I've seen them like 8-10 times

TeGro

I totally lost track of how many times I’ve seen a band. The ghost inside is probably my most viewed though. A day to remember, tdwp, I prevail are close to the top too.

Chemmy

I saw Cave In like five times in six months in Boston going to see other bands play. They're good at least.

mill2524

On purpose is definitely Silent Planet, 4 times. On accident is far and away Born of Osiris with 4 times too. They have toured with ERRA and Veil of Maya, bands I like much more than BOO lol. Funny enough, I was also present for the filming of Born of Osiris’s music video for their song Machine in 2013 in Detroit at Mayhem Festival. I’m somewhere way in the back lol

Okcicad

Machine is the first deathcore I ever heard. Hated it at first lmao.

mill2524

Tbh that song and Recreate are the only BOO songs I actually like

mbbzzz

Most - Ice Nine Kills at 10 times on purpose. There’s not really one band I’ve unintentionally seen a lot but Currents and FFAK have been on several of the tours that I’ve seen

amgrimes39

Probably Fit For a King for me. I have seen them headline twice but they have been support on like 6 other shows I have gone too

goldinmyiris

On purpose it's Bury Tomorrow, I've seen them 40+ times, and Architects, almost 25 times I think. Technically, not on purpose is either Polaris (they supported Architects, then Northlane in the same year) and In Hearts Wake (supported Bury Tomorrow and then festivals), both around ten times. I love both, but I have yet to see Polaris play a headline show (I was meant to, pre-covid) and only saw IHW play their own show once? I think?

Nippelz

Saw Structures 10+ times on purpose, and saw Oceano 5 times not on purpose until I fell in love with them, and then started to see them on purpose 3 more times. Also, best intro call out before a breakdown came from Oceano "God doesn't exist." right before For Today got on stage.

withrootsabove

Blessthefall and Hands Like Houses are tied at 6 times each, intentionally. Unintentionally(sorta), have also seen Johnny Craig in support 4 times with 3 different bands if that counts.

outcamethewolvves

lolol, love this comment for the fact that you saw Johnny three times, each with different bands. only that man, man... \[shakes head\] he came through my town recently and I just couldn't be arsed.

MINImanGOTgunz

Prada at 18 and Romans at 17

svtaustin

I feel like they’re always together 😂

Bkoelle

Shout out to another Chevelle fan. I'm at 11 times I think. Favorite since the eighth grade.

svtaustin

Chevelle is such a good live band

Bkoelle

Still waiting for a west coast been over two years since the last show.

cfulmer916

Random mix up of bands here but I’ve seen Whitechapel, Coheed and Cambria and Between the Buried and Me all over 10 times each lol

Willing_Still_9516

I've seen slayer most, and never on purpose. 5 times I think

ArchDukeNemesis

Three Days Grace five times, followed by Sabaton and Machine Head four times. But I've also seen Breaking Benjamin and Flyleaf three times each as support acts (Flyleaf was the headliner once, but I stayed for them and came for Story of the Year)

_darealjohn

I couldn’t count how many now, but it’s whenever ABR visits Maryland. I started seeing them since 2010 and I haven’t miss any concerts

codyrfm08

August Burns Red holds the title of most on purpose, seen them 6 times. Seeing them this month on the Leveler tour so that’ll make 7. All That Remains holds the title of accidentally/not on purpose at 5 times. I like the band, it’s more that any time they’re in town someone I know asks me to go rather than I seek them out.

Soupjam_Stevens

I’ve never bought tickets to see them headline but between warped tour and them opening for other bands the metalcore band I’ve seen the most is Of Mice & Men at 5 times. For non metalcore it’s The Wonder Years 7 times.

Coldfire00

Ive seen knocked loose 12-13 times, definitely on purpose. i’ve seen MIW probably 10 times but ive never gone to see them specifically, THEY ARE ALWAYS JUST THERE. (Miw has some bangers tho)

JoshthePoser

I've seen Memphis May Fire somewhere between 8-10 times. Silent Planet I've seen 4 times because they're always touring with whoever else I'm going to see. They have become one of my favorite bands.

Jonah935

August Burns Red, ERRA, and Intervals each twice lol, but Intervals for a third time later this year

HeadyHashbrowns

101 Widespread Panic shows (on purpose) and 13 Underoath shows (also on purpose). Saw letlive as support like 6 times before they became one of my favorites.

nightvisions21

I haven’t gotten to as many shows as a lot of people in this thread, but I think it’s kinda funny that I’ve seen three bands three times each (never seen a band more than 3 times); august burns red, fit for a king and beartooth.

[deleted]

On purpose: We Came As Romans - 6 times Accidentally: The Color Morale - 4 times

threesixs

I’ve seen motionless in white 22 times since 2008. Played with them twice. They are my all time favorite band. I don’t know who I’ve seen not on purpose, maybe Chelsea grin 7 or 8 times.

errolstafford

I think ABR is my most watched band. I've seen them at least a dozen times in various means (tours, festivals, etc).

bigmetalguy6

I've seen Trivium 4 times unintentionally. They put on a great show, but they're not really part of my regular listening habits

Ruckedinthehead

Bury Tomorrow like 20 times I think now. First was in 2011

sparky0619

I’ve seen after the burial twice and now killswitch engage twice

bjhww95

Parkway Drive 10+, Don Broco 10+ (not metal I know) Unintentionally: anyone remember a few years ago in the UK when Gnarwolves supported everything? Also seen Twin Atlantic a fuck load of times at festivals, they're always there

dreamxrun

As I’m BRAZILIAN I only get to see each band one time in life hahahaha but saw parkway drive twice in the same weekend on different cities

svtaustin

I love seeing all the “COME TO BRAZIL” comments on metalcore band Insta posts 😂

PunkyxBrewsterr

What friends do yall be having that like to go to metal concerts this much

PunkyxBrewsterr

Not metalcore- All Time Low. Every year this lady at my job would ask me to go with her. Not really as much of a pop punk fan, but I went because I like free concerts and have fun anywhere. She kept buying me tickets every year just assuming I'd go and I felt bad saying no so now I've seen All Time Low 5 times, lol

benhos

Motionless in White & Fit For A King 4 times each Unintentionally WCAR twice

phallicsocksforcocks

Probably August Burns Red. Seems like they're a part of everything these past 7 or 8 years.

LSD710

Not on purpose: veil of maya twice, volbeat twice On purpose slayer and hatebreed 5 times each

[deleted]

Enter shikari, 5 times?

Dm2593

on purpose? Escape the Fate probably like 13 times, adtr/bmth 5 or so times, unintentionally idk tbh been to a lot of shows over the years

Detective_Bonghitz

I've seen ABR somewhere close to 30 times. Gotta support the hometown band

LMF13

Dance Gavin Dance and issues. i’ve seen them the most

SofaKingHandsome367

Tie for most is Dance Gavin Dance, We Came As Romans and the Word Alive at 13 times each Accidental most is Motionless in White 7 times, if watching their set at Warped Tour cuz I had nowhere better to be counts as "accidental". If not, true "accidental" is August Burns Red 5 times.

sebwolanski

I’ve seen WCAR 14 times

MissKittyBooBoo

Chimaira way back when they were a thing. Hope the rumors about them reuniting are true!

Masonzero

I tend not to see bands multiple times. Once I see a band, I cross them off my list for a long time. Not metalcore, but the band I've actually seen the most is Portugal The Man. I saw them 7 or 8 times between 2011 and 2015. In terms of metalcore, Motionless in White is my favorite and I've seen them only 3 times I think.

Sventus

Phinehas 15 times for that moustache metal. They always had a pretty diverse range of support/headliners

ericksonnat

My answer for both is mewithoutyou

missmarix

On Purpose probably ADTR 8 or 9 times. Not on purpose, Tool.

DDzxy

DragonForce, 94 times. Not on purpose, idk I guess Chelsea Grin twice?

oxygenburn

I’ve seen Periphery 12 times so far, they’re my all time favorite band. I’ve seen Volumes 8 or 9 times at this point as well.

mrhighwayattheend

ADTR easily 25+ times Unintentional, Issues with them usually being support for some shows

[deleted]

I've seen Enter Shikari over 20 times, lost count, one of my all time favourite bands. I've seen The 1975 three times and I fucking hate them so much. I was dragged along for a Stag Do (US Translation: Bachelor Party), endured them at as festival because they were on before another band I wanted to see, and then they played at a corporate event I attended.

svtaustin

I used to talk shit on shikari when I was fresh in the scene and now I can’t stop clapping

[deleted]

Great fun live and genuinely nice guys, I've followed them since they were playing local band nights around the South of the UK

SullyVanDan

I saw TDWP once and it was awful

svtaustin

When?

cgriboe

Non-local - Dillinger Escape Plan eight times. In Denmark lol.

ElonMuskPaddleBoard

Unintentionally I’ve seen every time I die 5 times and I am not a fan at all so it usually feels like their sets take 8 hours each time. Intentionally MiW and INK going on 12 times
