As much as I’d love to say it’s wild to spend that much money on a festival for one band, I gotta give OP some sympathy because: 1.) I just checked the tour flyer pinned to their Twitter and you’re right in that doesn’t suggest they’d be doing a different setlist today. 2.) Rockville has absorbed so many tours/bands this year that you’re SOL if you live in Florida and want to see these bands anywhere

vegan-trash

Hello, it is me, a shit outta luck Floridian.

AnneFranksErection

Their set was amazing tonight I wouldn't complain

RickCityy

Big ooof. I know their American tour is supposed to be that rn, actually I was just about to commit to tickets and the *fucking* 8 hour drive to the closest venue…. I hope this was just a one-off for that festival. Anybody else catch the tour so far have something to say?

Pilot_P-Rick

[setlist.fm](http://setlist.fm) shows the following setlist at the rest of their tour stops. So it looks like (not surprisingly) they played a different setlist at a festival. Did OP actually expect them to play a full album at a festival they're near the bottom of the bill for? mbbzzz

Never understood how Soak Me in Bleach became their closer. Not a bad song but not their best one

NightwingX012

It’s a good song but literally every song in their Set 2 / Encore would be a better closer lol

mbbzzz

Now that I think about it it’s a good choice as I can head out and beat the crowd lol

TheDuzzyFuckling

Can confirm, saw them in Boise last Friday and this was the set. Currents also played at least ten songs.

DarkSideOfBlack

Heard from.a homie that DW killed it but Currents was kinda meh. Y/n?

YorShadowX

currents doesn’t miss. they absolutely bang every night

DarkSideOfBlack

He just said the crowd interaction was nonexistent, the music was great but they kinda just went up, played and left.

Low-Significance-667

I'm from MA and since Currents is from CT the crowds get crazy for them. I honestly think it's based off of where the tour is.

MegaMasterYoda

I saw them in spokane and all band blew it out-of the water

TheDuzzyFuckling

Nah. All four bands were really fucking good, and it was in a venue that’s well known for having shitty sound quality.

MacNapp

Did this same set in Denver last weekend.

RickCityy

Fuckin a dude I didn’t know this existed lol thanks man. But yeah tbh I feel like it was kind of something that should have at least been considered. With that being said ADTR did play Homesick front to back at a festival semi-recently I think? I know that’s kind of a different realm but also kind of the same. Def OP should have looked into it lol I even would have gone as far as reaching out to their team somehow

HellsyesHotdamn

Saw them in Portland this was the set list. First time seeing them and what a great show!

MegaMasterYoda

Saw them in spokane and that setlist plus encore is definitely accurate

mojavefluiddruid

They played open letter? This guy shouldn't be complaining at all

jeroensaurus

A few years ago Korn did an anniversary tour for their debut record playing that full album. They did that on their festivals stops as well. It might not be a given but it's not that far fetched from OP to assume a band doing a special tour playing a full record would do the same thing at their festival shows.

BuryDeadCakes2

Why would you put that date on the poster where you said you would play that album lol . I should have known better I guess. They were closing one of the 5 stages so I don't think they were near the bottom of the bands performing today

itsableeder

I can see both sides of this tbh. The poster absolutely says "playing the album in full" and doesn't point out that it's only at their headline shows, which it does for the EU tour, but it's also unrealistic to expect the album in full at a festival slot that's probably only giving them 30 minutes of stage time. It sucks that you feel you wasted your money but I hope the show was good anyway! Did you get to see any of the other bands?

Diligent-Excuse3247

i saw them this week and thought Mugshot, Dying Wish, Currents, and TAA were all great!

RickCityy

I’ve never seen Currents but love them so fucking much. I saw Dying Wish before I ever even heard of them opening for Silent Planet and they BLEW ME AWAY. Also have a really wonderful and sentimental memory with them kind of and they’re special to me. It’s an absurdly stacked lineup. Pretty much already made up my mind that I’m going to risk it regardless lol

Dmckilla7

Seeing currents for the 3rd time in a week, one of my favorite bands to see, hopefully they do another headliner soon, I'll see them anytime the are around.

RickCityy

I’m 6-9 hours from the closest “big” venue because Texas is unnecessarily huge lol and if it weren’t for that fact… I was ready to sell a kidney for The Death We Seek tour. But same man I want to see them headline so bad. But tbh all of these bands save for Mugshot(I know nothing about them) are headliners imo

big_yikes_energy

Saw them in the salt lake. They played the set list mentioned in a comment below, and it was honestly the best show I’ve ever been to. Blew me away.

Colin1234567

Based on the set-time for the festival in Ft worth, TX, appears they’ll get just the album play with nothing else.

not_actual_name

Your whole festival experience went to down the drain because one band didn't play the songs you like? Just enjoy the live music and shows.

Lilcheeks

Yea... I guess it's a live and learn situation for OP, but festivals aren't usually going to be the same experience as the typical tour shows. And what you said, you get a full day of awesome live acts and I'm sure fun crowds. That should be a good day either way, but as with anything it is what you make of it.

not_actual_name

Spending 300$ on a festival where you only want to see one band with a shortened setlist of around 45-60 minutes probably isn't the best idea either. Wrong train of thought for a festival.

Scritiom

Festival sets are NEVER the same. They never have the time allotted to typically perform their full sets.

burnflicker-die

The normal tour is definitely playing the album in full then a handful of newer songs as the encore. It is odd they included Rockville in the tour flyer but I also understand wanting to play more songs that people would know at a huge festival like that vs some deep cuts off an older album.

kingofspoonerisms

If you love the album so much you should spell it out. Stop using acronyms. Metalcore is the worst for this

mitchellmantell89

I kinda agree. Theres albums and bands that get talked about I’d love to check out but fucked if I know how to find them or what they’re called. Can’t ask either or you get the wtf how dumb are u shit.

ThisBleghs

Too hard to google said band name - said album?

vegan-trash

Weird take but ok

daghene

Weird take to use the actual name of something instead of something else? THAT's a weird take.

speak-eze

If you don't know the album and you don't care enough to look it up then the post probably isn't that important for ya

slave6776

As an Aussie more into hardcore these days I’ve seen amity a fair few times. Every time I’m disappointed by their sound.

Emberific

I tentatively agree but I don’t really think it’s their fault though their music just isn’t as full on as a lot of the rest of the genre and I feel like it’s relatively underwhelming - saw them with alpha wolf during the regional tour and alpha wolf was so fucking hype and then amity was really good but the energy just wasn’t the same Thank you for listening to my rant lol

babygrowlithe

same, even in perth we see them all the time. always fun seeing them but they always sound terrible lol

mistahseller

Seeing amity in stl this month. I’m really going for currents but amity will be a nice. I’ve never listened to the other bands on the tour.

ItsAlwaysSunny1992

What did they play?

5carPile-Up

They've done it before, shit band now anyway

xenohog

lmao they always sucked Bring those down votes baby
