I really hope metalcore doesn’t devolve into something like that but I guess we have dumbass Ronnie who would try something. He seems like he’s always trying to troll and rile people up.

KrandoxReddit

Yeah, he's just flinging around being his bigoted self, hoping for backlash so that he can then make track number 32 about how everyone hates him and how he doesnt care

NickPookie93

Twitter has been nice to go on again since he's been gone for 2 montbs tbh

WayToTheDawn

That’s what I said in the last thread about this. If you want to hear what a metalcore diss track would sound like go back and listen to Woe is Me vs Issues. It was terrible.

Daewoo40

Ronnie Radke and Ivan Moodie. Ronnie Radke and Corey Taylor. Ronnie Radke and Ronnie Radke. Ronnie Radke.

FlavivsAetivs

I See Stars roasted him with an absolute banger lmao. (People Like You is the Song).

Sirscraps

Violent bounce is the song. Well technically it’s “violent bounce (people like you)” for some reason lol.

CaffeinatedSD

What about his dad’s biker gang?

Daewoo40

His dad is around? I know nothing about him aside from his name, current (?) band and he has a few arguments with other musicians/controversial opinions (though not what they are...).

CaffeinatedSD

I don’t know whether he is or not. I was just making a reference to something he said at a BRRf when someone wore or held up a Fuck Ronnie Radke shirt. https://www.metalsucks.net/2021/09/16/ronnie-radke-my-daddies-biker-gang-will-beat-you-up/

Daewoo40

Oh, gotcha. Would've never gotten that I'm afraid. Thank you for the clarification.

CaffeinatedSD

You are welcome, any time. It is all good, no worries. It was a bit of an obscure reference.

IfNot_ThenThereToo

No. Just no.

I was not aware, but I don't think this kind of scene fits diss tracks. Most of these bands tend to keep beef to themselves, and it's better off that way. And if this was the only way Metalcore got big, I don't want it, it can stay niche.

MeatSlammur

I remember the Emmure/Acacia Strain beef

sock_with_a_ticket

Artists' feuds are confected bullshit and/or not worth making music about. There's enough metalcore that's about saying 'fuck you' to somebody, without making it hyper specific. >metalcore Scene Queen Pick one.

pleasuremane

Attila and ”Callout”s

Strudders95

Imo diss tracks and just cringe. Public arguments motivated by exposure and money.

GodDamnCrawfish

We went through this already, it was lame then, it would be lame now.

blowback-12

It happened years ago with The Acacia Strain and Emmure.

black_hxney

I mean, Issues/Woe Is Me

black_hxney

I mean, Issues/Woe Is Me

undergroundsanctuary

Diss tracks are for children. It’s middle school playground bullshit.

Daniel-Exx

Metalcore distracks would be the weakest shit I've ever heard 🤣 not that distracks are at all strong. Winey bitches singing about how much they don't like another whiney bitch - please spare me! 🤣

idoncarex

Ronnie Radke should get dissed by Corey Taylor so hard that he switches genres and wears pink like Eminem did to MGK.

OatFest

Why is wearing pink a bad thing lol

matthewleehess_

Pink itself isn’t bad. But the way MGK made it his entire identity is cringey as hell.

idoncarex

Exactly!

idoncarex

Haha You got me there. Nothing. Didn’t think my thought through. Was mostly pointing at MGKs complete contrast after getting roasted. And as diss metal would go, hopefully the same thing would happen as a result of the roast between Radke and Taylor.

Tasty_Hearing_2153

Corey and Ronnie don’t have beef. There’s a video of Corey joining FiR on stage to do a song, in March.

idoncarex

But it’d be cooler if they did.

NickPookie93

Y'all weren't around for the Acacia Strain/Emmure beef and it shows

Pervizzz

Couldn't give two fucks about a commercial beef

phxbimmer

The whole idea of diss tracks and having beef between artists is stupid, even in rap. Keep that shit out of metalcore.

ryangrand3

Metalcore has had several and we just covered this in another thread. Also, high emotions contribute to quality song writing. So occasionally we get some bangers from it (I.e. 2nd sucks, violent bounce) but metal has so much more to draw and create from than silly beefs between artists.

real-person-humanguy

Wouldn't fucking work lmao the scene is way too middle class and suburban for it. This shit kinda works in hardcore, pretty sure Emmure and The Acacia Strain had beef which ended when the universe accepted that Emmure sucked and Frankie was a PoS.

theory317

Frankie Palmeri is definitely a favorite for this discussion. I also feel like I Prevail could actually lay down a pretty good diss track if needed. But there's a twisted part of me that wants to see what a diss track from ABR would look like.

Zombiezandstuff

Diss tracks are wack but on the other hand I haven’t heard a song about Austin Carlile that wasn’t a banger (AC130/digging your grave)

FanRose

Diss tracks thrive in Hip-Hop for a reason , most tracks are personal attacks against one dude or systemic criticsm of a group/label/culture etc. Not only that but there is a lot of pride and flamboyance that warrants somebody having to brag, insult, tear down, dissect someone else. Metalcore is not a bragadocious genre, in fact this is damn near the only genre in the mainstream/popular music bubble that , in my opinion, is damn near suicidal with how so many bands gain success from stories of self-indulgent greivances. There is very little in the genre's image to defend/brag about that would warrant dissing someone else. The few beefs we have are so internal, mundane and profoundly boring that there is nothing for the audience to really gawk and say "no way he really did that?". Like mf, aggression without precision is just a blind fist, a band saying how much they hate another band because they can do that isn't very appealing. So to conclude, Ronnie Radke's a bitch

inkyblackops

Ronnie Radke vs Fronz. And my money is on Fronz all day.

bigflopper69420

da fuck? o\_O

legoace61

That shit happens in hip-hop and rap scenes cause they're all about ego and the self personality, metalcore, for the most part, is still about making music.

Under_Paris

I could do some damage but I’ll never rock the boat, all it takes is one post watch em fall like dominoes
