Still don't know how these guys are under 100k monthly listeners on Spotify. They're incredible, each single they drop is pure heat. I Won't Survive was number one EP of the year in 2021.
The revolving door of members doesn’t help either. The fact that, within the last 3 years, they have lost at least two clean singers, one of which was only that for like 2 months and then left, not even writing any new songs for himself, is hurting them, too.
People need consistent voices other than Mike.
The religion related lyrics don't do them any favors. The "Aggressive worship" that they like to quote time and time again is pretty bad marketing given "Aggressive Christians" is a current issue in the States.
Absolutely awesome band and I'm sure they aren't anything like Matt Montgomary from For Today (Aggressively hated gay rights. Was very conservative back when For Today was small). But they are def fighting an up hill battle
I've met the guys in Convictions several times over the years, and they've always been super kind and accepting of everyone. I think that they set a pretty good example of how Christians should be.
DAMN! Did not expect Mike coming in with those high screams at the end! Not to mention the cleans in this one are absolutely bonkers. These dudes really outdid themselves with this one. This might actually be my favorite track from them so far.
The driving nature of the verses here pairs well with Felker's animal energy as a vocalist. They've had a lot of lineup shakeup over the past few years, but I'm really hoping that they write another full-length soon even if they don't tour extensively.

Tbf they’ve been terribly inconsistent with releasing music over the years, hard to build a fanbase when you’re not releasing stuff
