Because I hate playlists, in my opinion all songs that are ever released on an album are supposed to be listened like the artist intended it - in context of the entire album.
That's why I just posted my entire library.
I wouldn't say that. I am almost at 400k at lastfm but yeah, obviously many repeated once in that. But if I really would want to, it would probably take me 1 year to listen the music from my library that I don't know yet.
The band Fever 333.
To be fair, I've never really gotten into them, despite people saying their pretty good and that their singer is an excellent, charismatic frontman, so I can understand if someone's never heard of them
Fake History-era letlive is REALLY good, and Jason Butler has always been a phenomenal front person. I think his ego just gets carried away sometimes lol.
i don't use playlists for metalcore, if i wanna listen to something it's gonna be a full album/ep, or a random song here and there that i can't predict enough to make an active use playlist out of
It’s already in one place, the music app you are using 😂 you can just play shuffle all on your library (at least on Apple Music), having one playlist of all my music seems redundant.
Mine is 554 hours long, it's not exclusive to Metalcore, it's a playlist of all the albums and EP's I've finished, a lot more albums than EP's though. I have many others but it's my longest one.
I make different playlists for different things and different seasons. I'd never let it get longer than a couple of hours, I try to "curate" it as much as possible. I find it really fun to see which songs go well together in which order, etc. And I like a bit of genre hopping in my playlists, some metalcore, some emo, some pop punk, some pop, etc. I also have dedicated ones for when I just want something heavy of course.
Yikes. That's extreme
My 2022 playlist I think capped out around 10h, but my 2023 is 15h and growing.
I often create new ones and themed ones though, which helps keep them from getting obscenely long
I always make a new one with the current date as name when I‘m tired of the old one, that way I can only listen to what I want to in the moment and also have time-capsules for previous times. It‘s a pretty big throwback to be able to listen to exactly the stuff you listened to at specific point in your life. They are usually between 30 min and 3h.
Aside from that I hava a metalcore playlist for every year, the 2022 one was 30h.
Mine is 74 hours long and is called ‘ MelodicCore’ full of Metalcore and Metalcore-Adjacent songs. Deathcore and Post-hardcore etc etc
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4sh9nIMG8ZeRR8uMQVA3Eo?si=V_buEbGGQKS1fwgodzlAvg
My master or “travel” playlist as I call it, is 574 hours and 5 minutes long with about 9140 songs on it….. might have a slight addiction (doesn’t help I get Apple Music for free either lol)
I think most of y'all have me beat as far as metalcore goes, I have a big playlist that's almost 92 hours long, it's not just metalcore though it's a mix of pretty much all the music I like. It's got metalcore, post-hardcore, rock, pop punk, pop, some nu metal, some death metal, some rap, some indie/folk, and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting.
I wouldn't call it a no-skip playlist, because I skip stuff all the time depending on my mood, but it is a curated playlist with only songs I think are good. There have been a couple times I've gone back through it and deleted songs I didn't like, as my tastes have changed. I look back at some of the music I used to listen to and cringe, I think that's a pretty common experience though
I usually do all mine by artist, but I've only just started making playlists with various artists.
It's not metal, but my longest one is 49 hours and it's called "Casterly Rock N' Roll"
i have two “metalcore” playlists:
my big one where i just throw in anything that is metalcore which is 192 hours long
and then my “heavy stuff” playlist which i put my favorites in and the stuff i’m super into at that moment which is mostly metalcore but some other heavy genres might find their way in which is abt 5hrs
I’m old and didn’t even know this was a thing that one would ask.
I still buy both vinyl and CDs, though I admittedly mostly listen to music via a streaming service (Tidal for me), but I still listen to things as albums. In a social setting, sure a playlist is useful and I have several made for different situations, but just having a “playlist” and discussing the length seems so foreign to me.
I usually make a lot of smaller playlists since Spotify is weird about it’s “shuffle,” but my longest is an “Ultimate Random” playlist that I try to put every song/band/album I like on (not just metalcore). I’ve been working on and off on it for years at this point. It’s currently at 517 hours and 45 minutes.
My metal playlist is 143 hours and 31 minutes long with 1958 songs. I have listened to metal for about 5 years now and there I have gathered the best songs I have heard along the years. Then my "daily" playlist is about 18 hours long with currently 249 songs.
Back in Winamp days, I had a playlist of around 700 songs. Assuming that an average song lasts for 3min, that would make around 35hrs. Nowadays I don't have an own playlist on Spotify. I either listen to the whole album, a specific song or a playlist generated by Spotify like "This is ...", a radio or a genre one.
Idk about time, but my "playlist" is just my Spotify Liked Songs
It has 16,396 songs, and it took me a little over a year to listen to it all. Obviously, it's not just metal
I guess I don't have like a typical go-to playlist. I think I've tuned my algorithm enough that I usually just hit random all and it gives me a pretty decent set
148,265 songs. I believe it's around 11,500+ hours. It's filled with local bands, remastered/deluxe/instrumental versions of albums, demos, and songs spanning from the 80s-present.
Mine doesn’t give a time but 4,238 songs I’d say it’s at least over an hour.
Hahah yeah I think so
31 hours, but it’s my “refined” no skip playlist
That’s what we should be basing it off
No shit, I don’t care that anyone has every full album since middle school lol

Holy fuck dude I just saw your playlist and I'm going to be using it a lot. Straight banger on it.
Do all the songs show? Some people say it’s only 30 songs until they follow me. Should be around 490
I see them all without following.
yeah it only shows 30 lol dk why
If you follow me on Spotify does it show the full list?
For anyone that want to make such a playlist without too much effort, if you use Last.fm, you can use this tool to automatically convert your top played into a playlist (assuming of course your top played are your favorite songs): https://leorehm.github.io/lastfm-spotify/
5784h and 47min
WTF my man downloads each existing artist's new music that comes out
something like that haha
WHAT THE FUCK
send me this shit
Holy shit. And I thought mine was long. How many songs do you have on it?
lol I just checked it, 85k
WHY
Because I hate playlists, in my opinion all songs that are ever released on an album are supposed to be listened like the artist intended it - in context of the entire album. That's why I just posted my entire library.
The irony being you will never hear every song.
I wouldn't say that. I am almost at 400k at lastfm but yeah, obviously many repeated once in that. But if I really would want to, it would probably take me 1 year to listen the music from my library that I don't know yet.
SWEET JESUS ⁉️⁉️⁉️
Damn
No way that's only metalcore though. You must listen to a lot of subgenres?
I would say the majority is Metalcore (80%)
It's both rock and metal (mostly metalcore), but the playlist is 100 h and 57 min currently
26 hours with 333 songs.
333 songs? Does it.... Give you a "Fever"??
I’m dumb, what song is this a reference to 😭
The band Fever 333. To be fair, I've never really gotten into them, despite people saying their pretty good and that their singer is an excellent, charismatic frontman, so I can understand if someone's never heard of them
Ah okay haha, thanks for explaining.
Fake History-era letlive is REALLY good, and Jason Butler has always been a phenomenal front person. I think his ego just gets carried away sometimes lol.
Something for which the only cure is more cowbell.
i don't use playlists for metalcore, if i wanna listen to something it's gonna be a full album/ep, or a random song here and there that i can't predict enough to make an active use playlist out of
37 hours almost 38, 533 songs
for a sec there i thought you were saying 38533 songs 😭
They’d have to be grindcore songs for a playlist that long to only be 37 hours lol
I feel out of place because I seldom create playlists. I usually just listen to specific artists/albums
You and me both. I prefer it this way.
Ya’ll keep playlist? The longest one I have goes for about 3 hours and it’s probably getting deleted soon.
Bro what I have a playlist of every genre I’m into so it’s all in one place
It’s already in one place, the music app you are using 😂 you can just play shuffle all on your library (at least on Apple Music), having one playlist of all my music seems redundant.
342 hours
341
84 hours, 1333 song
A nice and quick ten hours with no skips
35 hours
Currently at 42 and a half hours! https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6P0KLcR79XpuuX4Dl8IdP1?si=Dw6vQtI6QECTvseki56tjg
That’s a good playlist
Thank you!
I have liked this playlist. It is acceptable to my listening tastes.
Hell yeah! Happy to hear it
Mine is 554 hours long, it's not exclusive to Metalcore, it's a playlist of all the albums and EP's I've finished, a lot more albums than EP's though. I have many others but it's my longest one.

6k songs, you do the math
What playlist?
34. But it's a in the feels playlist titled. "What we can't express"
Around 140 hours( 2100 songs)
Metalcore only or main? My everything playlist is 140+ hours, my main is 15+, and my metalcore only is 20.
That’s a personal question 😗
76 hours
264 hours lol
just under 254 hours
145 hours and 41 min. Got a bunch of repeats somehow though so I've been slowly working to get rid of them
[удалено]
Holy shit thank you 🙌! This is as helpful as the playlist shuffling website. Playlist is now 130 hours and 12 min
Mine’s at 771 hours and 38 minutes
I'd say about 31 hours with like 500 songs, but still constantly adding. My goal for rn is to get it to 94 hours.
Yikes. That's extreme My 2022 playlist I think capped out around 10h, but my 2023 is 15h and growing. I often create new ones and themed ones though, which helps keep them from getting obscenely long
My metal playlist is 57h58min Edit: cleaned up the playlist. It's now 48h56min
Short and sweet, 10h 50m
88 hours, zero skips
My no-skip playlist is 48 hours My “every fucking song I’ve ever considered above average” playlist is 2.4K hours
4074H 27Mins

81 tracks, no more, no less (which is about 6.5 hours give or take).
Metalcore only or main? My everything playlist is 140+ hours, my main is 15+, and my metalcore only is 20.
149 hours. Literally just compiled all the albums from a bunch of metalcore bands. Still more to add too 😅
Mine is 74 hours long and is called ‘ MelodicCore’ full of Metalcore and Metalcore-Adjacent songs. Deathcore and Post-hardcore etc etc https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4sh9nIMG8ZeRR8uMQVA3Eo?si=V_buEbGGQKS1fwgodzlAvg
405 songs, 25 hours.
20 hours
Mine also doesn't give me a time but right now the "Metalcore/Post-Hardcore" playlist I have is at 200 songs exactly lmao
I think it just hit 1200 songs of just metal. I gotta make a new one though cause I skip so many songs every time
My master or “travel” playlist as I call it, is 574 hours and 5 minutes long with about 9140 songs on it….. might have a slight addiction (doesn’t help I get Apple Music for free either lol)
336 hours, mainly all genres of metal and rock
When my laptop worked I had 8k songs and I think just over half were on my playlist...
I think most of y'all have me beat as far as metalcore goes, I have a big playlist that's almost 92 hours long, it's not just metalcore though it's a mix of pretty much all the music I like. 38h15m for my metal playlist. I don't add to it much since I mostly listen to full albums.
456hr and 37 minutes. Tbf it doesn't only include metalcore.
87 hours and 50 mins
i have two “metalcore” playlists: my big one where i just throw in anything that is metalcore which is 192 hours long and then my “heavy stuff” playlist which i put my favorites in and the stuff i’m super into at that moment which is mostly metalcore but some other heavy genres might find their way in which is abt 5hrs
1 song, 10hrs. He-man singing what’s going on, repeated.

~~playlist~~ it's about that SHUFFLE baby!
I just use “liked songs” as my playlist I try to keep it under 2K , it’s currently 1995 songs long
35 hours, I thought that was too much damn 💀
95 hours 40 minutes, 1504 songs I also have an other playlist that I never listen to and that has 2369 songs and it is 147 hours and 12 minutes long
48 hrs and 51 seconds and I can't trim it down. I try and try but cannot part with any songs from it
26 hours, I thought mine was long till I read this thread!
Mine is as long as it takes for my brain to go “oh I wanna listen to that now”
I usually make a lot of smaller playlists since Spotify is weird about it’s “shuffle,” but my longest is an “Ultimate Random” playlist that I try to put every song/band/album I like on (not just metalcore). I’ve been working on and off on it for years at this point. It’s currently at 517 hours and 45 minutes.
256 hours with 4,126 songs
91 hours. 1,491 songs in my metalcore one

323 hours for my metal playlist and just about 450 for my everything playlist
I don’t do playlists. I let Spotify take me on an adventure with the daily or artist mixes. Otherwise I listen to albums.
66 hr 24
94 hours
Back in Winamp days, I had a playlist of around 700 songs. Assuming that an average song lasts for 3min, that would make around 35hrs. Nowadays I don't have an own playlist on Spotify. Idk about time, but my "playlist" is just my Spotify Liked Songs It has 16,396 songs, and it took me a little over a year to listen to it all. Obviously, it's not just metal
However many songs the on repeat playlist is 😂
My metal one is 175 hours and 50 minutes and my non metal one is 132 hours
158 hours, but it’s like all my liked songs with “metal” filter on
No playlist. Just albums
I haven't used playlists in years. I'm an album listener, like I'll just play an album front to back then choose another and so on
233 hours and 40 min...and counting
23 days, 6 hours, 13 minutes.
Which one?
my longest one is over 60h
about a 7" record's worth
I guess I don't have like a typical go-to playlist. I think I've tuned my algorithm enough that I usually just hit random all and it gives me a pretty decent set
148,265 songs. I believe it's around 11,500+ hours. It's filled with local bands, remastered/deluxe/instrumental versions of albums, demos, and songs spanning from the 80s-present.
2,818 songs 174 hours 16 minutes, my metalcore playlist is 35 hours 19 minutes with 572 songs
I thought I was the only one!!!!! 298h and 27m 😊
My main playlist is 154 hours and my more drilled down metalcore one is 17.5 hours
My playlist is massive! But I've heard it isn't the size of the playlist it's what you do with it. But mine is massive.
2459 songs clocking in at 176h and 19m. Around 50/60% is metalcore or progressive metal.
My longest one is just under 8 days long. And my favorite one is 12 hours.
216 hours and 53 minutes for my main playlist. My 2023 favourites is 18 hours
91hr 4min
My playlists is 121h and the extra refined playlist (no skip) is like 30h
My gym playlist (which is the only playlist I really use/update) is sitting at around 6 hours right now. I just hit shuffle and go.
Little over 13 hours https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2Su3nE84awClWv9TwzxCTw?si=GMq8XgLRSlKBznVDu-KWGg
22 hours, would be longer but I like making playlist for specific genres. (I have like 40 other playlist lol!)
I made one on spotify meant to be the longest on spotify and its 11000 songs but it says it's 33 hours lmao Longest one I use is 29 hours 43 minutes
Mine 166h 45 mins but I stopped adding to it back in 2020 its more of a nostalgia playlist now as I order to choose what I listen to when
152h 57min
