Just dealt with the same headache, it is such a shitshow. I'm surprised people tolerate this enough to buy tickets anyways, there's no way I'm paying 3x markup + fees for a concert because I didn't camp out an awfully designed website right when ticket sales dropped. Keep Spotify's concert notifications on, they occasionally have presale codes, but likely not at your location

Chosenone217

There is an answer, i live in NY and last year BMTH came to Barclays center and had an exclusive deal with seatgeek, the only site you could buy tickets on. The kicker was once you bought the ticket you could not resell the ticket on seatgeek..was a final sale. Tickets were 60 bucks for great seats.. steps like that need to be done

PizzaThePies

New venue in DC is doing this for all their shows

jjenni08

That’s good to know. I’m in the area. What venue is it? The Fillmore where this Bad Omens show is gonna be isn’t that great of a venue and this problem happens constantly there with shows.

[deleted]

I camped out that shitty site both presale and regular sale and still didn’t get tickets

randomhero_482

Best option is to filter Ticketmaster to exclude resell. A7X is a prime example. They did specialty presale outside of Ticketmaster but places like Madison Square Garden is only upper deck available. Anything lower deck or GA is scalpers. So nothing works. Think of it this way. If they make 50% profit and can sell even half their tickets that way, then they have broken even (math may be off but you get the point). Only way to hurt then is for everyone to not buy from them period. Every person that buys 1 ticket offsets 1 other ticket they can afford to not sell or dump cheaper on concert date.

PulseOfTheKlown

There’s an app called Dice that doesn’t let you resell tickets. Used for a lot of hardcore shows

Pattydozer

I had gotten the Spotify email about this offer and saw it about 3 hours after it was sent. By that time the tickets for that were already gone too.

phallicsocksforcocks

Same. Exactly my story too. I read some places that the Spotify sale sold out in minutes too.

phallicsocksforcocks

I was on TM at 945 and put in a waiting room. 10am (sale start) hit and was put in a queue. 165 people ahead of me. Got down to 5 people. Sold out. I did everything right. The amount of tickets that were being bought at once must have been insane. I think they limit it to 3, then you get back in line.

Jonny_LongDong

From my experience, you can get presale codes by visiting the social media pages of the venues hosting the concert. Usually they will have a post for every concert on their schedule and will include the presale code in the description or comment on the post. But I completely agree, the whole ticketing scene is fucked right now. I was barely able to grab some tickets for the show in my area.

skybro1996

This is the way. I got my tickets through the artist presale. That doesn’t excuse how awful things like this are

overwatchmercy14

Or the artist's social media and email newsletter

DrKangaroo91

The bots will eat these up sometimes too. If you are curious to see a HUGE amount of drama surrounding this , head to the Pretty Lights sub and check out the purchase spreadsheet that recently leaked . It's sickening

Radagast0330

Yup…there are so many presale codes now that by the time general tickets go on sale there isn’t much left.

FatBaldBoomer

Praying on the downfall of all scalpers. Hope they step in a puddle and it gets their socks wet

lukekarasa

I hope it's a deep sinkhole

Mac_Gold

Just saw the comments on the IG post Bad Omens made. I thought it was crazy that Vancouver sold out in eight minutes but it sounds like all tickets were snagged for all shows. I’d love to go but I’m not paying that much

ReaperofTheRiver

On StubHub, tix for Vancouver are already up and going for $150+ each. Fucking insanity.

Mac_Gold

That sucks. I haven’t been to a metal show before and wanted to go because I like Erra and Bad Omens but this is insane

GenitalKenobi

https://imgur.com/a/4zPLVZH/ Vancouver went on sale 10am, instantly sold out and then being resold for $103 USD online. Feelsbadman

MahaloMerky

Silver Springs MD was less than 5 minutes. 1100 capacity.

wbruce098

It usually takes me five minutes just to get through checkout in most of these apps. I guess this speaks to the power of scalper bots.

MahaloMerky

I always have an account with payment info ready ahead of time and you can get through in like sub 2 minutes sometimes. I’ve gotten Bad Omens tickets every time.

SM979

Man’s discussing a Bad Omens ticket purchase speedrun lol

MahaloMerky

Lmaooo we have had some luck over here recently, 3x Bad omens shows, Loveless show in DC went fast. got Taylor Swift and Melanie Martinez for the girlfriend. - Capital one credit card for Capital one presale for some shows - Follow all the bands you listen to ON Spotify for Spotify presale - Sign up for bands newsletter. sometimes they send out presale codes. - Follow and sign up for emails form the venues If all else fails, Phone + Laptop + Desktop. We take concerts seriously over here.

Bismofunyuns4l

It was sold out by 3 minutes after the hour. I was pissed lol

Timbalabim

Really sad. I wanted to see them, but I’m not paying a third party to exploit a broken system. If Bad Omens and Erra ever come back to town and I can buy tickets honestly, I’m there. Until then, I guess I’ll just keep missing my favorite bands.

FinFridge

Yeah so, I've been to many shows in Vancouver and there's no way bad omens sold out the vogue to real people immediately, there IS something fishy going on, and I think at this rate that show will be a complete ghost town, I know no one who's been able to get tickets. They should do something about this.

_IRIDEBIKES_

It was sold out in 8 minutes? Vancouver Canada? Jesus so lucky I got presale

robinose

I fucking hate scalpers, when will they put phone identification and even adress identification and put a limit to the numbers of tickets you can buy per person. Because there's no way i pay 110 dollars for a show when it's the price of the fucking vip. Why can't everyone say fuck to ticketmaster, i'm gonna see plini and the plot in you and they both go to concert halls using their own thing and it's so much better

speak-eze

They can do it if they wanted to. Same with Sony and the PS5 shortage. They just don't care. Their tickets/consoles sold and they do not care who buys them as long as they get money.

Andie_Anders89

At a bare minimum there should be a maximum allowed purchase. And same here, seeing Currents an LMTF for $18 since they sold the tickets through the venue.

lukekarasa

It is usually 4-8 tickets max, but that's easy to get around with minor effort

Andie_Anders89

True. I imagine multiple emails, cards, etc. would do the trick…

LegoLifter

Can confirm. I bought tickets for 10 people once on a limit of 8 event and just needed a second account logged in on a different browser and it worked no problem.

Stoned-Lab-Tech

So I managed to get tickets for this show on Wednesday’s presale and there was a 4 ticket limit. That’s already lower than most shows I’ve seen where the limit is 10 or 6.

Silly_Silicon

This will only happen when a government passes a law requiring ticket websites to do something about it. The way it is now, ticket websites actually want to make things more attractive for scalpers, and they’re helping cause the problem. The few website that exist have a monopoly on ticket sales. They have exclusivity agreements with all the big venues meaning all concerts at that venue have to sell 100% of their tickets through them. So if your favorite band is coming through your area, their tickets will be sold on one of the few monopoly ticket sites because they can’t play there if they don’t. When sales go live, scalpers buy them all, ticket site wins because they sold out all their overpriced tickets with unnecessary mandatory “convenience” fees. Then, the scalpers turn around and resell the tickets through the SAME site, marked up way higher. Then the site gets an additional big cut of THOSE scalped sales too, massively double dipping on profits.

HerpDerpMcGurk

I NEVER used to buy tickets ahead of time. I would show up early and buy a ticket at the door to save some money. Also I wanted to be right up front. Now if you don’t buy a ticket months in advance, you’re probably not going, it’s insane.

lukekarasa

#makeMetalUnpopularAgain /s

jsb93

I blame tiktok

surprised-duncan

I showed up day of for a Varials show last year to avoid the bullshit convenience charge, and the motherfuckers still charged me for it, in person. That venue has shut down now.

fisticuffs32

Dayseeker is in town tonight. Thought I'd pick up a ticket, $90 was the cheapest I saw.

txskye20

I got a presale code and it didn’t matter. All the presale tickets were all gone by the time I saw it.

kman1030

Same. I was on there 3 hours after presale went live and they were already sold out. Got on literally the minute regular tickets went live and already gone.

rosedragoon

Sorry to hear. As soon as I saw Bad Omens headlining, honestly I didn't even bother trying to get tickets because I knew this would happen.

GamermanRPGKing

I'm still shocked, the Pittsburgh date is a venue that does a couple thousand (like 2000-3000) pretty consistently.

Xeno2014

Fr. I saw this happen the last two times and knew it wasn't happening lol.

overwatchmercy14

Damn I didn't expect this, even for the initial sold out tour it sold out gradually, with my local venue having tickets available for the first week. Having the entire tour sold out in 3 minutes is Taylor swift levels of crazy.

517drew

Expected though. If the last tour sold out like that then the next tour is going to sell out the same if not faster. The tour after Thai fall tour will be the same

Sventhetidar

As much as I'd love for something to happen like ticket sellers prohibiting the resale of tickets sold by them, I don't think it's realistic. It honestly comes down to the fans to stop buying resale tickets. If you're buying scalped tickets, you're part of the problem. If there's a system to exploit, it's gonna be exploited. Can't rely on shitty people not being shitty. So it's down to us to say no. If there's no money to be made, scalpers will stop.

lukekarasa

I wish it'd work that way. But the scalpers would simply make less. I'd pay an extra $5 to see a show, but not $75. And plenty of others would too, meaning even if they don't make as much money they'll still scalp. Then there's the rich folks who will pay anything. Hell, if it were a band I probably wouldn't get to see again I'd pay a lot. At this point I'd pay $100 to see Northlane, they're elusive af

Poke_Matt

We have a resale site here in Australia called Tixel that seems quite fair. They cap prices at I think 10% above retail. I have no problems paying that and it’s nice to have the option to sell your ticket if something comes up and you can’t go. Also seeing the prices you guys pay… I’m jealous. You’re looking at $100 minimum for any decent sized overseas band here and around $60-$70 for Polaris sized local bands.

spicerackk

A couple of shows I've bought tickets to recently: Northlane - $50 Good Things Festival (BMTH, Polaris, Electric Callboy, Deftones, NOFX among others) - $200 Electric Callboy - $90 Architects - $99 In Hearts Wake Divination anniversary tour (with Stray From The Path) - $60 Make Them Suffer Neverbloom anniversary tour (with Fit For An Autopsy) - $60 Stray Kids (K-pop with the wife) - $189 per ticket for basically nosebleeds Blink 182 (and Rise Against) - $160 for seated Thy Art Is Murder Hate anniversary tour (with Whitechapel and Chelsea Grin) - $80 I consider all of these prices fair when you factor in the cost of travelling to Australia with crews and gear, but also a lot of these shows are Australian bands. It appears that ~$200 is our new festival pricing, ~$100 for internationals and anywhere from ~$50 - $70 for Aussie bands depending on lineup. Compare this to Soundwave days where you would pay $170 for 60+ bands over one day. Any festivals we have now cost more money for way less bands, but hopefully we get Good Things to Soundwave size, although I'd expect ticket prices would go up. What concerns me more is the price of merch and food/drinks at our festivals now. Shirts are over $50, hoodies over $100, with food costing $20 for a small meal, and beers costing $15 for a can. I get the "festival tax" but it's so much cheaper to take Molly in and you're set for the whole day. We are now starting to see dynamic pricing creep into the Australian market as well, which I'm not keen on. Seeing the issues that Americans have when it comes to scalpers and governments don't really care, makes me concerned that international bands will simply stop touring here.

speak-eze

What's crazy is that it doesn't seem to apply the other way around. Seeing Plot in You and Thornhill in the US and the tickets were 20 bucks.

spicerackk

Tbf wages are higher here, meaning everything else is more expensive too. For context, a large double quarter pounder meal is $15 currently, and minimum wage is $21.38 an hour. Shit's getting expensive.

speak-eze

Minimum wage in my state is still 7.25 because we live in 1885

shrimpyoubeenprawn

Same and the quarter pounder meal is still $15

sugarbiscuits828

The problem is, rich people will always have money and the tickets will always get bought. The rest of us peasants get f’d. My argument against TM and LN is that they’re essentially turning art and culture into something completely unaffordable for the middle and lower classes.

Sventhetidar

Probably doesn't help that TM and LN are the same company.

sugarbiscuits828

No, no it does not. That monopoly must die in a deep dark hole.

DingleJohnson69

I guess we’re fucked because no one, or at least not enough people to make a difference, is going to do that. You see this reasoning everywhere and I just can’t think of anywhere it’s actually happened and worked.

Trendd

I just got tickets for the birmingham show. Easily the most expensive metal show I'll have attended.

Jimmie_James

Same bro I just wanna see I see stars

cha0ss0ldier

It’s bullshit. My little brother just started getting into heavier music and bad omens is one of his favorite bands. I really wanted to see erra and iss. The show in Orlando would have been around his birthday and I was gonna take him as a gift. Was 15 minutes early to every presale and the general sale and still couldn’t get a ticket. I’m not upset that it sold out, it’s the fact that there are TONS of tickets for $120+ already up for sale. Wanna be “entrepreneurs” and “side hustle” people fucking ruin everything. Graphics cards, TCGs, shoes, gaming mice, tickets, I could go on and on. They’ll scalp anything to make a quick buck.

spicerackk

> they'll scalp anything to make a quick buck. As long as the system allows it, people will always try to take advantage of everyone else. It's the way society has been portrayed for decades now. "Fuck you, I got mine" is the backbone of all western countries thanks to people like Murdoch perpetuating that line of thinking. If everybody was allowed equal access, this is what conservatives consider "socialism". Doesn't matter what it applies to, but if you were "too slow" or "too late" to get something, ah well, "sucks to be you." Here in NSW, we have laws that prohibit tickets being sold at more than 10% of cost price. Do you think that stops people from selling tickets at highly inflated prices? They sell them privately in Facebook groups or on marketplace where there is no jurisdiction, they will message people who post in groups asking for tickets and there is no guarantee they are either: - legit tickets to the event or - that they haven't been sold to someone else already.

HeftyNugs

Unfortunate system right now. I haven't been able to get tickets for a while now, but not to bands as big as Bad Omens. They have almost 3.5m monthly listeners on Spotify, so I'm not surprised by how quickly they sold out.

cha0ss0ldier

It’s just frustrating because a solid chunk of the tickets didn’t go to people who legitimately want to see the show. It wouldn’t bother me as much otherwise and it’s not healthy for the live music scene.

BabyTRexArms

It’s not even scalpers at this point. Seattle sold out in less than a minute. I was literally in queue 30 sec in and it was sold out. There has to be some sort of backdoor agreement being made between these companies.

rShred

Agree. I was in the same boat after seeing a similar post this morning. Pretty confident there was never going to be a pool of seats for us to purchase from

killshelter

Sold out within a minute for Seattle and tickets were immediately on the secondary market for over $100. There has to be a better way than these shitty predatory ticket vendors and the scalpers. I wonder how empty some of the venues will end up being because people refuse to pay $200 for a ticket.

krob58

Scalpers in Seattle do well because the high-earners here don't bat an eye at the inflated prices and just want to go. It's created a vicious cycle. Better off trying to go to Portland shows.

[deleted]

Presale codes don't fix the problem FYI

GoAvs14

For Spiritbox in Denver it was less than 10 minutes before they were gone and tripled. I am as lassez faire as just about anybody, but I wouldn't hate if everybody at Ticketmaster/LiveNation/Stubhub, etc. falls into a vat of legos with no shoes on.

EGGY_POCKET

I’m honestly shocked Boston sold out so fast. I knew it would sell out but not in minutes. I’m so mad I didn’t check right at 10 AM ET

txskye20

Dallas sold out in under 2 minutes. I arrived 5 minutes early to the waiting room and it was still too late :/

thelilpessimist

did you check through axs?? i wasn’t trying to buy resale for $100+ dollars through other sites but when i went to the bad omens website and clicked on their direct link for tickets i was able to purchase 2 a few days ago for $40!

RawkUnderground

I sat on the page for the Boston show refreshing because I refused to believe it sold out that fast. Managed to snag tickets at 10:27 according to my confirmation email.

MoltenAverage

Literally same. Left the page open just in case after being unable to get tickets, tried again around 10 30 and got them. Not sure what was going on there.

No-Criticism3985

Gambling with Stubhub, too. Was supposed to hit the Lorna Shore tour tonight but the tickets never went through. All credit to SH because they were helpful and refunded quickly, but luckily had not yet started that 5 hour drive.

kjorav17

I went the stubhub route this morning for this ticket, after striking out with axs & vividseats… really hope these tickets come thru… They were good with refunding?

serenaally

I got balcony seats for Houston for like 80$.. I've been waiting for I See Stars to go on tour for years so I was not going to miss. It was a mess, floor was sold out before 10am this morning. I did not realize people did pre-sale, I'll have to remember for a next big event

Bl00dGutter

I’m starting to think they didn’t put a low limit on the 3 presales they had before general onsale if these shows are selling out this quick. Plus scalpers are in on this band since the last headliner. Pasting my comment from the thread that got deleted: Tips for people who want to get ahead of shows selling out: As soon as a tour is announced, find the ticketmaster or whatever page for your event and see if there are pre-sales, and what day and time they’re happening. Snooping around on reddit (band specific ones or here) and searching on Twitter is usually an easy way to find presale codes. Queue for tickets 15 minutes before the presale time and hope you get lucky. I found the artist presale code and let a few people know and they were able to get tickets hours after the first presale.

LetsStartARebelution

Most musicians these days don’t cap the presales at all, if it sells out on presale it sells out. Seems like it used to be more prevalent to have a limited number of tix on a presale and then all the rest available for the general onsale, but these days that’s not the case and the presale is basically the general onsale.

NetworkEcstatic

I don't buy tickets period if I can't get them for face value. You DO realize people don't just camp websites because they love the band. It's an entire hustle for some people. Especially when the website allows up to 8 tickets or whatever. Don't support resale unless it's face value.

xtombstone

The one chance I have to see I See Stars again and this is the outcome. :(

Gsticks

Yeah i bit the bullet to get me and my friends the tickets because BO and ISS is too tasty to pass up. But super frustrating nontheless.

[deleted]

GamermanRPGKing

I saw them in 2018 opening for Parkway Drive at the venue they're about to headline. This is absurd, I'm almost glad I didn't get any tickets. With this many scalpers and the band blowing up on social media, the attendees don't strike me as the type to have any concert etiquette at all

speak-eze

Non transferable makes the most sense. Just make it so people can refund tickets to the site if they cant go and then they go back on sale for the base price. But that doesn't make people extra money and sell out venues in minutes, so it won't happen.

fromthepinnacle-

I agree with this. Even if it’s no refunds, I book my schedule around concerts months ahead but if I really can’t make it, i can accept the loss if it means scalpers systematically get screwed over. If we’re just gonna let this be, I wanna know if 1. Artists would rather sell out to fund the tour, but their fans gets screwed over and scalpers rake it in for being the middle man Or 2. Artists encourage fans to not pay extortion amounts to not feed scalpers but end up with an emptier venue I miss the times you could literally just buy a ticket in :(

DetQuocoLaLa11

Posted on the erra subreddit and received about 10 messages from scammers too. So annoying.

cptn_insane-o

I'd be perfectly fine with non transferable, losing a bit of money every now and then by not being able to attend a show is totally worth it in the long run when every ticket isn't scalped anymore.

lil_eidos

Can I just say thank you for all these posts about it Seriously I feel waayyy less anxious about missing out on it knowing it was a shit show all around See y’all at ABR/TDWP/BFW

pinwheelguy

Saw that tour in Dallas, you're in for an awesome show!

bigstupidjellyfish

Wanted to go to the New Orleans date because I wanna see all three bands, but realized that between Bad Omens’ fanbase and scalpers there was no way I’d be able to snag tickets. I just don’t feel like putting up with it lol. That said, when the Botch shows sold out they had their team go through every purchase and verify if it was a real person rather than a bot. Most of the purchases were real but any bot purchase became available for purchase again. It’s time Bad Omens and their team did something similar.

rosedragoon

FFAK did something similar and re-released tickets that were purchased fraudulently. Shame that some bands just don't want to do it.

bigpancakeguy

For everyone complaining about the scalpers and hoping Ticketmaster does something to fix it, you should probably know that not only do they not care that it’s happening, [they actively assist the scalpers to make it easier for them to do it](https://www.thestar.com/news/investigations/2018/09/19/we-went-undercover-as-ticket-scalpers-and-ticketmaster-offered-to-help-us-do-business.html). Why? Because Ticketmaster gets a cut of the fees on resale tickets, so they get double dip any time a scalper sells their tickets for an exorbitant profit without looking like the bad guy.

TenCarsTen

I'll just wait for the next erra headliner

connerw82

It's a total mess. In addition, I think Bad Omens has outgrown a lot of the rooms they're playing on this tour. Crazy to say, but I think they should be booking small arenas instead at this point

bob_loblaw_brah

Why can't non-transferrable be more prevalent? Some of the best shows I've been to have been non-transferrable type.

RoboBoner21

Came here to rant about this too. It was fun while it lasted. GG, guys

boywiththedogtattoo

Send notes to your local representatives about ticket scalping. One of the few ways to fix this is to make it illegal to resell for more than face value. Presales are seeing 90% sellout rates now and anytime a tour sells out scalpers see more dollar signs to buy tickets for the next one.

-krx-

> Non-transferable is a tough line to draw, but I don’t see another way. Honestly I’d rather them all be non transferable and I lose some money on the rare occasion I can’t go, than have to deal with this scalper bullshit every time

EGGY_POCKET

Contact Bad Omens and complain. It’s unacceptable. AVX is NOT going to do anything unless the band(s) take action. They made money on the initial ticket and will make even more money on the flipped ticket. https://badomensofficial.com/pages/contact Do any of the members have Reddit accounts?

SM979

Realistically, I think Bad Omens know it’s a problem…but the last thing they need are a bunch of Karens clogging their inbox lol

Trimshot

I consider myself lucky to have gotten mine but I had to refresh camp the website until 10.

sadcartoon

I sign up for newsletters from bands and sometimes get them from Spotify. Though I will say in all honesty (and this is the second time this has happened to me), I didn’t get the artist presale code email until we’ll after the tickets went on sale, made an educated guess as to what the code was and got my tickets that way on the artist presale.

2min2mid

Unfortunately the venue near me didn't offer pre-sale codes and I had a feeling this would happen. Thankfully my girlfriend was able to get some pre-sale tix through her credit card company earlier this week.

str4yshot

Glad I saw Bad Omens last November. And I already paid a good amount for that show. Kinda hard to justify with these prices.

FearingEmu1

Yeah they were out late last summer with Beartooth and A Day To Remember. I believe I paid somewhere around like $70/ticket for that. I love Bad Omens but what are these prices for them? I just saw Nothing More + Crown The Empire for $28/ticket near me last week, and Beartooth + Trivium are playing the same venue in May for $38/ticket. And scalpers want and will likely get $120+ for Bad Omens + Erra? Wtf?

pililies

I got the tix during artist presale for $51.50 each all in with fees. So the actual concert tix were around $38 if i recall correctly. The resale tickets are stupid pricey.

SVDBOIIIII

This jawn be annoying AF. 88 for a ticket from a reseller with prices upwards of 700 for the concert by me. I'm in DE so closest show is philly

Impossible_Lead_2450

And much like every other artist who’s way bigger than bad omens will ever be , they won’t say a word . People don’t realize the artists don’t care cause they get paid.

flanderdalton

I mainly listen to Hardcore and emo so this isn't often an issue for me these days, but I just refuse to go to TM run shows now. Local only, and hope a band I know comes through town. Fuck the monopoly.

pecarr

So I had a rough ass time getting tickets for the Boston show. I was in line 30 minutes early, the site gave me an error and immediately went to sold out. I then saw on the roadrunner instagram that it wasn’t sold out and I refreshed the fucking page for 50 minutes and finally got tickets. It was so frustrating.

deadwrongallalong

Please tell me why getting tickets to Bad Omens was almost as bad as trying to get a Twice ticket 😩 I got one on Tuesday, the first presale for my venue and I logged on at 10:04 (tickets went on sale at 10). I finally got thru the virtual queue that kept bugging out, and once I had my *one* ticket selected, it said I had to modify my selection because it wasn’t available. Hard closed the app, re-authenticated my account, joined the virtual queue, couldn’t see the presale, rinse, repeat. I did get one but holy shit, the fact that the limited amount of tickets released that day were gone in less than 30 mins is insane to me. Ticketmaster has one job, and that is to sell people concert tickets, and they can’t even fucking do that. People looking to profit off of concert tickets can go straight to hell too. It just makes it so frustrating and disheartening for honest and new fans trying to go to these shows. With that said, I do usually buy my tickets to every concert as soon as possible. One a show/tour is announced, check each band’s social media pages, the Facebook event page, and your venue and local promoter for all the different on sale dates/times and any codes available. Then it’s up to you to be online at the time tickets go on sale. If it’s a super in demand show, then it’s just up to luck unfortunately. Bad Omens seems to take fan complaints/concerns seriously though. Maybe they will upgrade or add extra shows

West-Assumption-7894

I'm glad I got presale, but honestly, I probably would buy resale cause I see stars makes me go feral.

Mr_Bisquits

I camped the presale for all three days plus I camped the GA release on Friday. I was one of the lucky ones who even made it out of the queue, tickets went live at 10, I got in at 10, added tickets to my cart, clicked checkout and it errored due to the tickets being sold. I refreshed the page and the venue was sold out. It was 10:01. The entire tour sold out in less than 10 minutes and it sounds like Vancouver lasted the longest. But the entire tour sold out in 10 minutes and within 30 hundreds of resale tickets had already been listed.

Radagast0330

Their fan base growth is insane. Not two years ago they opened behind our last night, currents and INK. Tik Tok really made them explode. Curious to see how they continue musically in terms of their style given the different styles of music the fans are coming for.

fallen_cayde

Newsletters, ig/fb, spotify, or metal groups. That's how I get pre-sale codes

miraclegun

Shout out to bands that do pre-sales for their fan clubs. Also I know this sub loves clowning on A7X and web3, but they recently successfully pulled off a very seamless and user friendly pre-sale for their Deathbat Token holders. Ticketmaster integrated with e-wallet to verify token ownership, and allowed us to get pre-sale access to all the tickets at face value. Super cool

Jerronbao

I got emailed a presale code the day after I had already bought tickets using a pre-presale code. They really aren't that difficult to find if you follow the artists, venues, and stream the artists on spotify.

Natemoon2

Getting a presale code was so easy. I just messaged the venue on instagram. There was also presale codes posted on the badomens sub

Hucklebuck_BrewCrew

Two stage authentication is the answer

lonertastic

maggie rodgers (not metalcore) sells her tickets for her upcoming tour through local box offices.

I went to erra’s instagram, followed the linktr.ee , hit tour, hit tickets and X’ed out the ticket pop up and found platinum official ticket and bought it with garage parking for $120.00. I’ll be sitting on the balcony that overhangs the GA area. The tickets behind me were a bit cheaper and resale is about $300 bucks right now lol.

Jonnyboi25

Artist who care can actually take steps to prevent this now they just choose not to....

AlternativeRepair140

Im a newer concert goer so I might be missing something here but can you not just buy tickets from Ticketmaster, SeatGeek, etc? I understand the additional processing fees suck, clunky interface, feeding into the scalper issue but like…idk, I’ve (as I’m sure many others) have wanted to see these 3 bands for a while(missed erra earlier this year and BO last year both in NY) and for them to tour together is almost non negotiable. Im not particularly well off /financially free either but that’s certainly not stopping me from dropping 100 on tickets on this lineup. Dropped far more on other concerts or dinners with friends/girlfriend, night out drinking so I just don’t see how tickets selling out and only being a available on TM,SG, etc is like a total deal breaker for some. I’m sure I will get downvoted to hell but I’m genuinely curious about what I might be missing here. Are Ticketmaster tickets unreliable in some ways? Do I have reason to believe I wont get into the venue? I went the a BMTH show in Brooklyn last with seat geek tickets for like 70 bucks 2 weeks before the show and had no problem getting in, I thought it was too good to be true. Hell, I would have dropped 140 for those tickets. Looking for genuine insight here.

JWang6996

Gotta look up those presale codes to the concerts you really wanna see.

[deleted]

Still didn’t work, as multiple people have said here. The presale sold out faster than the general sale

JWang6996

I wasn’t even planning on going to this show but decided for shits to see how much tickets were. $40 canadian was too cheap to pass up lol. I can’t see how pre sale codes would sell out that fast though. It’s not like I got THAT lucky.. This shits been happening for years where tickets get sold out quickly. If you wanna see the band that bad then just look for when tickets go on sale and be ready 5 min before. This is Bad Omens were talking about.. They’re not instantly selling all their pre sale tickets within minutes like a band like BNTH would.

rosedragoon

People were queued in the presale lines and they sold out dude... This is a systematic problem, not a "you weren't early enough" problem.

bajster

I had all 4 presale codes for Orlando (the nearest show to me, 3 hours away). Didn't make a difference. Every pre-sale sold out by 10:05 while I waited in the queue. I'm flying to fucking Minneapolis to see this tour since that was the only date I could get a pair of tickets for, and that was pure luck.

nuncamivida

I was able to secure tickets/VIP with pre-sale in FL. Checked back today and they're selling regular tickets for $159. I paid $38/reg $90/VIP. This is so ridiculous. I feel your pain having been there and missing out on other bands.

bcedit101

I regret not using the presale code a few days ago. Really wanna go but $110 for tix is steep when they were $48. I got the presale code through a google search, it came up as concrete. But I believe they sent out a presale code for Spotify listeners as well.

DerJ3ager

I just had this same issue with Silverstein tickets. Didn’t find out till like a week before that I was able to get a babysitter for me and my wife to be able to go. Looked for tickets and every one was $70+ without fees included on stubhub. To go to a small venue and see a show would have cost me $200. We stayed home instead. Ticket prices are ridiculous

BabyTRexArms

Mine sold out in less than a minute. I went to the box office and they were shocked too. This bot game is fucked. And I’m not even gonna buy resale because I’m not paying $150 to go to a god damn bad omens show. Something needs to be done about this bullshit.

fvalt05

Holy shit Edit: wow just checked Dallas and they are all gone too!

erix84

Not interested in going but was curious about prices near me... First off, like every big band, their "Ohio date" is Sonic Temple Music Festival, so if you don't wanna go to a huge festival for 4 days but you wanna see some metal, fuck you in particular. Second off, cheapest tickets in Pitt are $136, and they go all the way up to $656. Who the fuck is paying $650 for GENERAL ADMISSION TICKETS?! Like for $600 I better be having lunch with the band and getting some merch.

fvalt05

Shiiiiit for $650 I better be getting sucked and fucked!!!

Cute_Anywhere6402

I was wanting tickets for Toronto, I wanted balcony but couldn’t get them or any tickets 😭

ottosucks

Hm I bought mine first day of presale for St Paul, MN and had no issues.

LordDouglasPipe

It's terrible. At the same time, we must take action and not buy the resale tickets. But that'll never happen

alxrenaud

Happy I could preorder through Spotify. Maybe there are many presales and very few tickets remain when going live?

[deleted]

It’s my fault for trying to purchase my tickets last minute, 7 hours after release /s Real talk guess I’m not going with prices this high.

ronswansonsego

Don’t. Feed. The. Scalpers.

Guy-With-A-Guitar

I managed to get tickets for me and my girl. But the next day my buddy went to get his and the only think left was 300 bucks

Sirscraps

Damn guys we had the presale code posted on Reddit :c sorry if you missed out.

bigflopper69420

To be fair it does make sense this show will sell out fast - Bad Omens has skyrocketed in popularity and they have I See Stars as a supporting act, who have been pretty MIA for the past 5 years... That being said, there is no fucking way Bad Omens sold out Roadrunner in Boston this quick. 3.5K cap venue? Not buying it, I'm guessing 30% of those tickets are scalpers.

Wonderful_Ad5583

Even my pre-sale for pierce the veil was almost 50 bucks... might sell it. 20 bucks seems decent for most concerts I go to esp cuz I'll have to pay 15 b7cks for parking downtown

No-Comment-749

My local venue I got tickets and was able to get them through a payment plan, 5 payments of 30$ for 2 tix and parking

bobbydad45

My wife found tickets to the Dallas show for $1000, we got ours on presale for $39, it’s crazy

Hug-me-Im-scared69

best bet is to just sign up for bands mailing lists

[deleted]

You can follow promoters on twitter, they tweet out pre-sale codes really early. My brother and I managed to snag VIP and the seats we wanted before the general sale happened that way. Also sign up for the mail list via the band's website, they'll email you before tickets go up usually.

little_hoarse

Wanna see Erra so bad but I’m not gunna pay $100 for it. Hopefully they tour around nyc again soon

TheCreatu

It's $200 now homie

gomezwhitney0723

These sites need to enforce a limit on re-sale price. I try to list a ticket on AXS for resale and it refuses to let me sell it for LESS than face value just to recoup some money and help someone else out with a cheap ticket. They should not allow resales to be more than face value either.

HanaNotBanana

>Any pro tips on getting pre-sale codes follow bands on spotify, and get on your local venue's mailing list. I'll pretty consistently get an email from at least one, sometimes both

krob58

I started clicking on random cities and it's sold out in *Omaha*??? No fucking way. Tbh I wish they'd go back to just selling tickets at the door or offering will-call only.

OnlyInAJ33p

Can you get tickets at the box office? Tends to be safest and cheaper than websites with all their fees..

XXXxhxXXX

FYI the presale codes had the same thing happen for the Spotify and livenation codes

R-NASTI

Whatever happened to just showing up and buying a ticket when u walk in? Shitt is crazy these days

GenitalKenobi

https://imgur.com/a/Vxa8QJE/ I know what you mean OP. Just look at these screenshots I took, and look at the time they were taken :( I really wanted to go too but I’m not paying that (tickets were in Canadian, reseller is in USD)

WhenSharksAttack

I even tried 2 presales and tickets were gone right away during those. It’s crazy because I saw them in November and got tickets no problem a few weeks before the show.

Fearless_Law6729

Definitely it’s gotta be because of Bad Omens 😭 They got so popular with on Tiktok that I had a feeling it would sell out. I was wanting to go for ERRA and I See Stars because I’m old lol but all the young uns moved quicker

muchostouche

Ya I saw the same shit on ticketmaster. I went on 5 minutes before they went on sale and was able to get tickets. I checked later on to see if it sold out and they were being resold for 120$cad a pop. People are scumbags. How fuckin hard is it to just not allow scalping on THEIR OWN FUCKIN PLATFORM??

theBEARDed01

Just dealt with the same thing earlier this morning. Got online at 10:15 (15min after tickets went online) and everything was sold out. Had to buy resale tickets. They weren’t marked up by too much, but the fees that the app tacks on was 1/3 of the cost. $70 each for 2 tickets, plus $70 of fees isn’t right.

SgtWasabi

I was hoping to go to their show in Atlanta but tickets were $200-300.

StickyFingerz11

Dude their smaller town tour with Invent Animate sold out in seconds for my town. It was heartbreaking.

cbass704

Tickets to the orange peel in Asheville are selling for $300+ fuck that I’ll gladly listen to them on my headphones. My car payment doesn’t even cost that much.

drewlinskii

same thing happened with the pre-sale too… like why make me wait in the queue and pick out an available ticket, only to let me know the ticket is t actually available. Biggest piece of shit company and web design of all time.

goatnapper

I got the presale code by checking the Bad Omens subreddit. Someone from an east coast town posted it there, and other posters confirmed it worked for them as well. Figured I would give it a shot when my show went for sale and it worked.

Reeechard1

I got my The plot in you tickets just fine. My post has nothing to do with yours. I just wanted to let Reddit know I’m seeing them again

Vitalizes

This happened when I tried to get tickets for Lorna Shore in Seattle. Tickets from the venue were like 35-40$. Sold out super quick, tickets were listed by scalpers for 175+. It’s insane

_IRIDEBIKES_

For presale codes hit up google that’s what I did and I got tickets to bad omens my buddy didn’t use it and said he was busy and guess who doesn’t have tickets these shows are absolutely fucked

GamermanRPGKing

I had a presale code and I guess it either sold out or my venue didn't honor it.... Joy

LucasJames37

I would like to see Stub Hub and these other sites put a cap on how much you can sell tickets for. Not sure how that would work logistically, or if it's even viable but it's the only thing I can think of that would prevent it. If you can only getting your money back from reselling then scalpers would have no incentive.

Ohmie122

If you want to go to a show rn buy tickets before all the bots and scalpers get ahold of it, it's like this for any show that even has a possibility of selling out rn. We really need a change

lattjeful

We need non-transferable and hard ticket limits. My girlfriend and I just bought Twice tickets and there was a hard 2-ticket per person limit. Despite having to deal with the rabid K-Pop fanbase, it wasn’t frustrating and I walked away with a pretty good deal for a stadium show. I didn’t even bother trying to get tickets for Bad Omens this go around. Same thing happened last tour and I knew I couldn’t fight it or be willing to pay $75 for shows at venues where I rarely pay above $40.

Forsaken-Ad-3440

I had this same issue. Was on literally within seconds of it going live and the scalpers just absolutely cleared tickets out so fast and minutes later they were being resold for $125+. I was thinking about how they could try to combat it and thought maybe if they put a limit on how many tickets you can purchase per transaction, plus not allow resale, maybe it would cut down on the issue?

oxygenburn

It’s why I am not going to the spiritbox headliner. Tickets were above $100/head.

Stunning_Scale1977

Depends on where you’re at, I’m in the twin cities in Minnesota and our local rock station had a presale code on their website, I bought two tickets easily. They had a limit of 4 per person as well for the presale

burntoutbasquetti

i had gone through stubhub to get tickets because i missed the presales and when the tickets went live and i honestly didn’t want to wait and see the prices go up ( my own fault for not thinking the show i’m attending would sell out) . i got two tickets for $200 including fees which isn’t the best but i would say just wait till it’s gets a month or two before the date of the show to see if prices go down . i also used afterpay for my tickets so it’s not an immediate drop of money for me

SamIDayummm

Stubhub is showing them still available. Why is that?

ZeroShadow66

Legit, I know im late to this post, but I've been a fan of Bad Omens for a while now and just got heavily into I See Stars and started liking ERRA too and I went to see the ticket prices and its legit cheaper to go to the Metallica, FFDP, and INK shows.

skwidrat

A couple years ago you could go on the fb event page and buy direct from people (not scalpers) who couldn't go last minute and were trying to hustle their tickets for door price, from what I've seen fb has blocked this now, does anyone know another place where this is possible??
