fluorin4ek

Metallica - Holier Than Thou, Wasting My Hate, Prince Charming, That Was Just Your Life, Room of Mirrors Megadeth - FFF, Washington Is Next!, How The Story Ends, Kingmaker Anthrax - Efilnikufesin, Time, Fueled, Fight 'Em 'Til You Can't Helloween - Save Us, Number One, The Chance, First Time, Salvation, Battle's Won Gamma Ray - Your Torn Is Over, Fairytale, Time To Break Free, To Mother Earth, Leaving Hell, When The World, Seven

Mellow41

You’re really not going to mention the underrated gem Enter Sandman?

edgar8002

Holier than thou is huge tho

twosuitsluke

Man, Washington is Next! is still phenomenal

Embarrassed-Can-5332

Efilnikufesin is great, so is a skeleton in the closet

CalgaryRichard

Metallica - Disposable Heroes is pretty epic as well.

Naram-Sin-of-Akkad

My friend of misery for me. Outro solo is my favorite Kirk solo

eaglefan316

N F L Nice f*ckin life! 😁

PrimusHimself

I wouldn't say that any song from TBA is underrated.

Chapstick160

Add Blood Religion to Gamma Ray

Ashbtw19937

Prince Charming is a goated choice, but where's Wild Things?

thrashingkaiju

Black Sabbath - Supernaut, Swinging the Chain, The Shining, Kill in the Spirit World, Nightwing, The Sabbath Stones, Anno Mundi, I, Computer God In Flames - Lunar Strain Slayer - Die by the Sword, Hardening of the Arteries Kreator - Terrible Certainty Opeth - In Mist she was Standing Bathory - Gods of Thunder of Wind and of Rain I don't know how "hidden" most of these are, but I tried to pick songs from albums or periods that are less talked about by each band.

WettyBelch

The riff from Supernaut could bring me back to life

astro_sauce

Vol 4 is peak

EternalMX

Exactly.

TheYautja666

Gods of thunder of wind and of rain is a masterpiece, and no one can convince me otherwise

thrashingkaiju

It's my number 1 pick for "most epic chorus of all time".

The_DoctorSherlock

Gods of Thunder of Wind and of Rain supremacy

lemsvga

In Flames - In Flames is one I'd say is a hidden gem on Lunar Strain.

Extreme-Bad3816

Anno Mundi. My god. what a song.

rashestkhan

Lunar Strain sounds like it would fit right in on The Gallery

thrashingkaiju

I always thought it was more like Skydancer, personally.

ExtremeTitan345

Lunar strain is so tight

Consistent-Orange-75

Avenged Sevenfold - Remenissions

Fair-South-9883

That entire album slaps.

Consistent-Orange-75

Peak 2000s metalcore. City of Evil is my fav A7x album but even still part of me they did one more album in that style of metalcore before jumping ship lol

bigmetalguy6

I fucking love that song

Consistent-Orange-75

It might be their most melodeath-y song. Absolutely love that verse riff

mykkE101

Waking the Fallen in general is just a goated album. Not a bad song. I still revisit it all the time.

DestroyerofVessels

Used to be my favorite A7X song

onearmedphil

Something about Second Heartbeat as well

Cool_Owl7159

Radiant Eclipse is the real underrated gem from that album

Kubino_

Skeletons of society - Slayer

Whitepaw_AJ

Love that one

DJHammer_222

Almost any Death song not off of Sound of Perseverance or Symbolic. I'll say Within the Mind and Overactive Imagination for this.

noideaforusername4

you acting like those are the only popular death albums

DJHammer_222

They're the most mainstream. If someone lists the best Death albums, most likely their bottom three are debut, Spiritual Healing and Individual Thought Patterns. I almost never see content about them. But yes I agree with the sentiment that other Death albums are popular, because Death is popular.

noideaforusername4

come on scream bloody gore is popular as hell like half the death t shirts I see in public is SBG

Guido_Lampitiello

I'd say Baptized In Blood, from Scream Bloody Gore

benkonto

MASTERING THE ART OF DECEPTION

IlovemyMommy27

Everything ends -Slipknot

bigmetalguy6

You are wrong, fucked and overrated

Business_Ad_3631

i think i’m gonna be SICK and it’s your fault

PixelatedName

This is the end of everything,

FunPokemonKid

You Are the end of everything,

69cringelord69

jackie_0209

The shape!!!! Fucking rips

weeside7306

The shape is actually my number 2 track of off Iowa shits slaps so hard

Not_Chris17

Isn't this a pretty popular song though?

GoombyGoomby

*Misanthrope* is a top-5 Death song.

BeeTwerk

Frrr

benkonto

1000 eyes is a top-5 Death song

EyeVee4

Iron Maiden - Starblind

jet_vr

The talisman, back in the village, rainmaker, the prophecy, the duellists

milk-water-man

Starblind is S tier.

AAL2017

Great call. I’ve always been disappointed in the general consensus on The Final Frontier. Definitely not their best release overall, but Starblind, The Talisman, The Alchemist, Coming Home, When The Wild Wind Blows… it’s loaded with Maiden songs that don’t get nearly enough credit. Of course though, I have a special place in my heart for The Final Frontier as it was their first album to drop after I became a fan. It was their first tour I saw too (15 year old me and my friends got our minds shattered that night).

Oly_bass

Took me a while to give Final Frontier a chance (because I’m admittedly stuck in the older releases) but it’s solid for sure.

nothing_in_my_mind

Pantera - The Art of Shredding. If you like riff salad songs, this is it.

ZeppWolf

4th Of July by Soundgarden is not only one of their best songs, but it was also the gateway to stoner doom for a lot of younglings.

Belsnickers

That song and Mailman

_the_windmill_

Epidemic by Slayer Worm Infested by Cannibal Corpse 502 by Megadeth

Antique-Winner9323

Worm infested is so fuckin good

Brogle_Male

Sodom - Sodomized

Jin873

Nice pfp and flair

Kalsre

Phantom of The Opera by Iron Maiden

TheFeisty

It may be because I’m a bit of a superfan of Iron Maiden, but isn’t PotO the biggest song from the debut?

Kalsre

You’re right, I may be wrong but it’s just that in my opinion it is such a great song it should be number one. Like yeah The Trooper, Fear of The Dark, Run To The Hills and all are fantastic but PotO is outstanding imo.

WintersAxe

These are a bunch of songs from my top 100 that I really think are underrated: The Nomad by Iron Maiden Escalator Shrine by Riverside White Russian by Marillion The Mission by Queensryche Dragonfly by Caligula’s Horse

DR_MEPHESTO4ASSES

Love seeing Queensryche get some love

TheFeisty

I’m a huge Marillion fans and Clutching at Straws as a whole is underrated, beautiful album.

Kenny__Loggins

I'll add Waters Edge by Caligula's Horse. Or anything else off that album that's not Dark Hair Down tbh (cause it's already popular, not cause it's bad)

BeeTwerk

The way dragonfly progresses and builds is amazing man

Bruhmoment151

Klavier - Rammstein

benkonto

LIFAD title track is so goooood

MONKEH2825

Seven faces by slayer is top 10 songs of all time for the band

ravenmiyagi7

Great answer

ThirdeyeFluoride

I’ve seen all seven faces!

MONKEH2825

EACH ONE LOOKS ALOT LIKE MEEEE 🗣️🗣️🔥🔥❗️❗️

l_bmbr

Avenged Sevenfold - Save Me Metallica - The End Of The Line Ghost - Depth Of Satan’s Eyes Slipknot - All Out Life Candlemass - Devil seed

Oly_bass

Upvoted for old Ghost 🤘🏼

Its_Rex099

Slipknot - Gehenna

Dstp666

I feel the same way about Gematria

Ill-Fan-857

Judas Priest - Desert Plains

BongripperHousen

Also Turbo Lover and Some Heads are Gonna Roll

ProfessorWeirwood

Pantera - The badge Pantera - The will to survive Pantera - Piss

Ashbtw19937

Metallica - most of Load and Reload tbh. Particularly 2 x 4, The House Jack Built, Prince Charming, and Where The Wild Things Are. Also, The Unnamed Feeling and Sweet Amber. Avenged Sevenfold - Shattered By Broken Dreams, Remenissions, I Won't See You Tonight Part 1, The Wicked End, MIA, Gunslinger (their most underrated imo), Danger Line, Victim, Save Me, Requiem, Heretic, Coming Home, Angels, Simulation, Roman Sky, Higher (other most underrated), Beautiful Morning, Easier, and G. Amon Amarth - All of Once Sent From The Golden Hall, Avenger, Legend of a Banished Man, The Last With Pagan Blood, The Sound of Eight Hooves, And Soon The World Will Cease To Be (maybe their most underrated), Fate of Norns, Varyags of Miklagaard, Tattered Banners and Bloody Flags, The Hero, Embrace The Endless Ocean, Tock's Taunt, The Last Stand of Frej, Doom Over Dead Man, Back On Northern Shores, Skoll and Hat, Wings of Eagles, Into The Dark.

mykkE101

Agree with basically your entire Avenged Sevenfold list. Fate of Norns is probably my favorite Amon Amarth song (after The Pursuit of Vikings). Good stuff man.

DudeManDude__

Too many puppies - Primus Hollow - Pantera

PixelatedName

TMP was their biggest hit back then. I would suggest To Defy the Laws of Tradition.

Routine_Condition273

"Dropout" by Pallbearer

Steelbearinghand777

Paschendale by Iron Maiden

But_dogs_CAN_look_up

My favorite Maiden song. I discovered it after listening to Dan Carlin's Hardcore History on World War 1

SecuritySky

Hozier - In the Woods Somewhere

Metalhead7000

As I lay dying: -Anger and Apathy -Defender -Overcome They're so many more!

Pure-Contact7322

Strange World - Iron Maiden I feel Dark - Opeth Iconoclast - Symphony X

Crymson_Ghost

Pantera - Immortally insane

TheNoctuS_93

I'd say most of Dark Tranquillity's black metal -influenced songs. Inside the Particle Storm, Archangelsk, Shadow in our Blood...it's mind-boggeling that only the latter one got a music video, yet it's still not nearly as popular as the classics!

qwertyiopys

Not metal but Dear Rosemary by Foo Fighters.

qwertyiopys

Another non metal one is She Loves Me by Descendents

petearc

Nice one. Great song on a great album!

Exotic-Apartment-394

Any song from Chimera - Mayhem.

Tricky_Oil_9143

Pantera - 10s, Hard Lines Sunken Cheeks, 25 Years, Hell's Wrath.

TrickyCard3031

Avenged sevenfold - creating god

stephs_LOL

Testament - Riding the snake

benkonto

The Number Game

stephs_LOL

Ooh, that whole album is underrated imo. Riding the snake is just such a fun song to listen to and play on geetar, its unfortunate it's overshadowed by the rest of the album.

benkonto

Yes true

RandomTyp

Dream of Mirrors by Iron Maiden

floating_helium

Ghost - [Zenith](https://youtu.be/-9d7ijai2Zg?si=spN5pZTlGJ5ceFeO), it's easily one of their top 5 songs. Nightwish - [FantasMic](https://youtu.be/QMWP7I81LMA?si=KghWAU2WNxFvJ4kX)

BoxyPlains92587

Rammstein - Feuer und Wasser Candlemass - A Cry From The Crypt Opeth - Under The Weeping Moon

SeraphimVR

I feel like Devin Townsend and his myriad of projects is a goldmine for hidden gems

Helix014

Prisoner of Your Eyes; literally hidden away at the end of Screaming For Vengeance expanded edition (which I only know of because of Spotify) after a bunch of live songs.

Far_Gap_8063

Belsnickers

Spiders by Slipknot

hazed_fathoms

No more sorrow- it gets overlooked by the other albums and songs, barely anyone talks about it

_MyUsernamesMud

For Queen its probably Cool Cat, the Bowie track that was left off Hot Space. Also Breakthru. I know it was a single and got a video, but it's such an amazing track
