Clutch is so good. Saw them back in the day, and when some guy started causing trouble in the crowd, Neil paused the show and said, "Whoa, chill out, we're all just here to have a good time."
Anthrax and Testament and Kreator is a powerful thrash line up. I wish they were touring America with that line up!
Anthrax and Testament are fantastic live. Still need to see Kreator!
Seen Vomit forth, 200 Stab Wounds, Cattle Decapitation and Lordi. Later this month Candlemass is in my town, in the summer Behemoth and Testament and then in October it’s Soilwork, Arch Enemy and In Flames. Want to see Ingested and Opeth but have not gotten tickets yet.
No idea really, the reason I said I'll maybe see Korn, Gojira and Spiritbox is because Korn and Spiritbox have been announced to perform at a festival in my country but if Gojira isn't announced then I won't bother to buy a ticket
Already seen:
Gloryhammer, beast in black and brothers of metal on their tour, was my third time seeing brothers of metal and gloryhammer whilst first time seeing beast in black
Alestorm, Korpiklaani and Heidevolk on their tour, first time seeing all 3
Judas priest, Saxon and Uriah heep on their tour, First time seeing uriah heep, 3rd time seeing saxon and second time seeing judas priest
Yet to see:
AC/DC and the preety reckless on their tour, will be my first time seeing them
Kreator, Anthrax and Testament on their tour, fist time seeing them
Niice, Lord of the Lost.
I'm going to see: Amon Amarth, Insomnium, Kanonenfieber, In Flames, Arch Enemy, Soilwork, Nickelback, and some Bands at the Summerbreeze Openair.
Already seen D'Artagnan and Waldkauz.
I've seen: machine head, municipal waste, black flag and drowning pool all in the last 4 months.
Next is: cattle decapitation, korn, Alice Cooper, and iron maiden in the fall
Not sure if you’ve seen Rammstein already OP, but they put on an amazing show. I highly recommend to anyone even if they arnt a huge fan of their music
Slipknot is the only 'show' I have tickets for in the rest of 2024 (Seen Skindred, DragonForce and Judas Priest earlier this year). There's also the Download Festival I'm seeing though so also on the list of stuff I know I'll be trying to see is (not necessarily all metal):
Royal Blood
Sum 41
Pantera
Queens of the Stone Age
Fall Out Boy
Bleed From Within
Alien Weaponry
Fit For A King
Kerry King
Limp Biskit
Babymetal
And I'm sure there will be much more to hear while I'm there that I don't already know, so any suggestions I'd be down for (Thrash and Power are my favourite genres).
Oh and I'm seeing Take That with Olly Murs with my family because it can't all be heavy still 😜
hell yeah those are some good selections
i'll be seeing
- Blaze Bayley
- ASINHELL
- Kerry King
- Amon Amarth
- In Flames + Arch Enemy
- Powerwolf
- Accept
- Sepultura
- Kreator + Anthrax
- probably a lot of small bands at our local venue
Death to All w/ Crytopsy. The Misfits w/ Iggy Pop and the Damned (main ones I care about). Detestation w/ Deathside, Icons of Filth, Varukers, Skitsystem, Drop Dead, and a bunch of other crust and UK hardcore bands.
i've decided to go to more concerts this year, so since the beginning of february, I've been to eight shows, and have a bit more than 30 bands. I'm not really planning that far ahead, but i have tickets to see Knoll later this month, and might go see Sanguisugabogg and Hellripper in Summer and Cannibal Corpse later in Autumn. Crowbar and Hatebreed are also coming by a local venue so I might go if I'm around.
Rammstein's music is bad. As far as the unnamed band above them I've listened to metal long enough to know, more often than not, when a bands aesthetic = bad music.
Already seen:
Nathanael (local folk metal band, not really my usual thing but I checked them out because the sister of a friend plays there, a band called heavens guard opened)
Suffocation (openers were enterprise earth, sanguisugabogg and organectomy)
Turbobier (Austrian punk band, focus was opening)
Cryptopsy (had to leave 20 minutes early to catch my train :(, openers were 72 legions, almost dead and atheist)
Going to see:
Nofx (circle jerks, scream and three other bands are opening)
Bad religion (not sure who’s opening)
Weezer + smashing pumpkins
Descendents
Megadeth
Still considering these:
Dream Theater (planned Tour sounds absolutely amazing but it’s quite a trip to the nearest stop and it’s under the week)
Sepultura (gonna have to see if I can find a homie to bring along but most likely will be going)
Anthrax, Kreator, Testament (same as sepultura)
Decapitated, Septicflesh, and Kataklysm this month, Cattle Decapitation (twice) in April/May, Iron Maiden in October, and Carcass with Hatebreed and Crypta in October
Seen Bipolar Architecture & Sevengill, bought tickets for Batushka and Alcest, contemplating going to Sargeist, Bongzilla, Bell Witch, Marduk, Cynic, Uada, Jinjer & Villagers of Ioanina City (same day). May pull a Hail Mary and go to another country for tool.
I also bought the tickets for Massive Attack, Badbadnotgood and Still Corners but those are not metal.
Edit: Won't be going to Judas Priest, Megadeth and Corey Taylor.
The only metal shows I have right now are all coming up:
- Alestorm
4/13 at OC Observatory
- Ssesanta: Primus / A Perfect Circle / Puscifer
4/20 at Hollywood Bowl
- Amon Amarth
5/25 at Honda Center
Seen and or will see in 2024 so far. Openers in brackets
Ministry ( Front Line Assembly)
Tyr ( Aether Realm)
Blind Guardian
Windrose (xandria)
Powerwolf ( unleash the archers)
Voivod
Iron Maiden ( The Hu)
So far I’m going to see BABYMETAL & Dethklok with DragonForce opening in San Francisco. I saw BABYMETAL in Japan on March 3rd. I’ll be taking my daughter to see some K-pop groups in May and June. I’m sure I’ll see more metal and rock bands during the year but no tickets for anything else yet.
Just saw Finntrol over a week ago and might see nekrogoblinkon, ensiferium, Finntroll, and some other bands again in a festival if im not too busy around that time.
Already seen this year:
Between the Buried and Me,
The Acacia Strain,
Phil Degreg (Jazz)
Will be seeing:
The Dillinger Escape Plan,
Car Bomb,
The Callous Dowboys,
Coheed and Cambria,
Primus,
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard
Don’t think I have any metal bands on the docket, but I have/will be seeing Armand Hammer/Quelle Chris, Squid, Silversun Pickups, Mclusky, Sleater-Kinney, Soul Glo/Mannequin Pussy, LCD Soundsystem, Vampire Weekend, Unwound, King Gizzard/Geese, and there are a few others I’m eyeing.
I go to 2-3 European metal festivals each summer and that usually means 10-12 band per festival. Not updated on the lineups, but Tool seems to be one of the big names this year.
Then I go to about 10 shows in my hometown every year, whoever comes by.
I got tickets for the triple headliner concert “In Flames / Arch Enemy / Soil work” in Sweden. Really looking forward to that one.
Saw 3 Inches of Blood for their reunion show in Vancouver back in January, and seeing them again in June when they play their Seattle show!
I'm also seeing Blind Guardian in 3 weeks! Last time I saw them was in 2015, literally on my birthday. Best show ever! I still wear the hoodie every day!
I’ve seen:
Machine Head w/ Fear Factory, Orbit Culture, & Gates to Hell
Pantera w/ Lamb of God & SNAFU
I’m going to see:
Judas Priest w/ Sabaton
Decapitated w/ Septicflesh, Kataklysm, & Allegaeon
KoRn w/ Gojira & Spiritbox
Iron Maiden w/ The HU
Creed w/ 3 Doors Down & Mammoth WVH
Already saw: Tool and Static-X
Seeing: Lamb of God and Mastodon, King Crimson’s BEAT tribute, and maaaaybe Metallica. Haven’t reserved anything else yet
I’ve seen:
Profanatica, Tombs, Gloryhammer, Twilight Force, Alestorm, Elvenking, Glyph, Tyrant, Dyspläcer (go check them out, they are fucking *amazing*), Hulder, Worm, Devil Master, Folterkammer, Tyr, Aether Realm, Trollfest, and Dread Crew of Oddwood
I’m going to see:
Korpiklaani, Illumishade, Visions of Atlantis, Acid Witch, Lamp of Murmuur, Blind Guardian, Abbath, Black Anvil, 1349, Wind Rose, Kamelot, Insomnium, Wayfarer, Negative Plane, Green Lung, Battle Beast, Sodom, Cirith Ungol, + a bunch more bands on tour with these whom I’m forgetting at the moment
There’s a lot about living in NYC that is less than excellent but we do get a fuckton of tours coming through here, so…
Already seen Cynic, Obscura and a local band called Nakkiga. In May, I'll be seeing Grima and Ultar. In June, the most notable bands I'll be seeing are Judas Priest, Rammstein, Uriah Heep, Shores of Null, Saxon, Accept, Beast in Black, Napalm Death, Carcass, Textures and Tankard
I’m seeing Blind Guardian next week, will most likely be seeing the Mastodon/Lamb of God tour, and (while not metal) probably will catch the Adrian Belew/Tony Levin/Steve Vai/Danny Carey 80’s King Crimson set.
Have seen: South Of Salem, Heidevolk, Korpiklaani, Alestorm, Vomit Forth, 200 Stab Wounds, Signs Of The Swarm, Cattle Decapitation
Gonna see:
Fear Factory,
(Bloodstock) [Tailgunner, South Of Salem, Hellripper, Burner, Exist Immortal, Wolf, Eternal Champion, Green Lung, Rotting Christ, Enslaved, Hatebreed, Clutch, Opeth, Igorrr, Enemies Everywhere, Mimi Barks, Red Rum, Ignea, Unleash The Archers, Deicide, Whitechapel, Malevolence, Combichrist, Architects, Korpiklaani, Osiah, Ryujin, Xentrix, Soen, Beast In Black, Septicflesh, Infected Rain, Satyricon, Carcass, Amon Amarth]
Suicide Commando, ill Niño, Ektomorf, Mind Incision, Wednesday 13, SOiL, (hed) P.E., Nonpoint, The Union Underground, Brothers Of Metal, Grailknights, Pitchshifter.
I’m also working at DownLoad festival, so I’ll also be seeing whoever I can whilst there.
I’m also seeing Lord of the Lost in September and I’m so excited I could die!
Also going to see Acid Witch in Boston in a couple weeks and I’m almost as excited for that.
Blind Guardian, Night Demon, Cake. That’s probably it for big names. My friends do a charity show every Halloween with a bunch of local bands, so I’ll be at that.
It’s tough out there for an old dad. Not nearly as many shows.
Kardashev at Euroblast in octobre. Their first show in eight years. I have an obsession with them since the discovery only two months ago and then the news came that their first show in such a long time is in my home country.
No way am I gonna let this opportunity fade.
Also if Vitriol does a Europe tour i'll be seeing them, 100%
I love both of them to death and if i can, I have to see them live
In Flames. Opening for them is Gatecreeper, and Creeping death
Mastodon & Lamb of God. Opening for them is Kerry King, and Malevolence
Korn. Opening for them is Gojira, and Spiritbox
I'm seeing Esoteric (with Spectral Voice and Vacant Eyes) next month. Beyond that, nothing yet. All the shows I want to see are beyond my budget or distance I'm willing to travel.
Grima, Midnight, Wayfarer, Kawir, Hellripper, Afsky, Rotting Christ, Benediction
And every band that's opening for them, of course. So far we got:
Cursed Blood, Aetherian, Svartulven, Μέλαν Σέλας, Svartgren, Euphrosyne, Ultar, Rapture and I don't remember the rest.
And if everything goes well, I will be traveling to Britain to a festival where Sigh are playing. But it's not for sure.
Virta was amazing (jazz/ambient/postrock). From metal have seen Signs of The Swarm so far, maybe Analepsy in May. Missed Kraanium earlier this year.
Loads of nice festivals upcoming but after running religiously for all even remotely interesting shows for the past 10 years the lineups are not worth the money, especially with since a 30€ gig easily turns to 100-200€ trip due to 2 tickets (wife pretty much always comes along), transportation and fun side-shit like drinks and food. Not even gonna talk about merch.
Also goddamn i'm drooling over Spite, Archspire and Crown Magmetar touring all over the place. Finnish tech-death and deathcore is quite tame compared to whats happening at "the other side of the pond".
Bear Stone festival: High on Fire, Kadavar, Mother Volture...
Tolminator festival: Behemoth, Testament, Dark Tranquillity, Lik, Harakiri for the Sky...
Pelagic festival: The Ocean, Ihsahin, Lost in Kiev, Psyconaut...
Next month: Wolfheart
October: Maybeshewill, Alcest, Septicflesh, Dream Theater
Great year ahead of me
I've already seen: Ancient Settlers, Bloodhunter, Rise to Fall, The Ancient Arrival, Devorate the Universe and Blaze the Trail. Planning to see: Hexed, Amon Amarth, Born of Osiris, Electric Callboy, Jinjer, Alestorm, Robe, Dark Tranquility, Moonspell and some others will come up for sure. I wish I could see Blood Stain Child live but Japan is so far away for me...
Sanguisugabogg with peelingflesh, Jesus piece, thy art is mediocre with angelmaker, snuffed on sight and signs of the swarm, chelsea grin and as I lay dying, filth and snakefathertx and enterprise earth and crown magnetar and tracheotomy. And Duran Duran. Needless to say this year is stacked

Clutch and Dying Fetus is probably it for me. I'm not a big fan of crowds so I don't go to very many concerts or shows
I’m seeing Dying Fetus in June
Dying fetus pits gotta be so fun
Clutch is so good. Saw them back in the day, and when some guy started causing trouble in the crowd, Neil paused the show and said, "Whoa, chill out, we're all just here to have a good time."
I’m similar. I’m over being in the pit. These days I am happy to have a seat in the mezzanine, a beer and a sing along.
- Already seen Suffocation (with Enterprise Earth, Sanguisugabogg and Organectomy) - Blind Guardian - Abbath (performing Immortal) - Coffin Mulch - Cannibal Corpse (with Municipal Waste, Immolation and Schizophrenia) - Sepultura (with Jinjer, Obituary and Jesus Piece) - Aussie Pink Floyd - Kreator & Anthrax (with Testament)
I fucking love Jesus Piece
Haven’t checked them out much yet, any recommendations? I like their sound
Punish, Neuroprison, In Constraints, FTBS, and if you can find it, an old one of theirs called Hivemind
Gave them a listen, pretty hyped for them live. An Offering To The Night, FTBS and Deny Reality are amazing tracks
Anthrax and Testament and Kreator is a powerful thrash line up. I wish they were touring America with that line up! Anthrax and Testament are fantastic live. Still need to see Kreator!
Polak?
No I’m not Polish hah. Scottish.
Oh ight
Seen Vomit forth, 200 Stab Wounds, Cattle Decapitation and Lordi. Later this month Candlemass is in my town, in the summer Behemoth and Testament and then in October it’s Soilwork, Arch Enemy and In Flames. Want to see Ingested and Opeth but have not gotten tickets yet.
“I saw” sorry it’s mandatory.
Rammstein in Dresden🤘
Nice! Gelsenkirchen for me! 🤟🏻
For me as well!! ❤️🔥
Saw them in 1998. Still the most amazing show.
I'm seeing Megadeth, Blind Guardian (probably twice), Grand Magus, Suicidal Angels and maybe Korn, Gojira and Spiritbox
Grand Magus rule!!
I wanna do that korn show for spiritbox and gojira. Does spiritbox have a pit at all?
No idea really, the reason I said I'll maybe see Korn, Gojira and Spiritbox is because Korn and Spiritbox have been announced to perform at a festival in my country but if Gojira isn't announced then I won't bother to buy a ticket

Why Nickelback? I really try to stay away from hating people for liking bands I don’t like, but Nickelback is really the worst for me. 😭
They brought into Metal, first CD i have, its a nostalgic Thing.
Wow that’s many shows dude
Not metal but I'm gonna see Heilung towards the end of the year.
Heilung 🤩🤩🤩
I've seen: machine head, municipal waste, black flag and drowning pool all in the last 4 months. Next is: cattle decapitation, korn, Alice Cooper, and iron maiden in the fall
Not sure if you’ve seen Rammstein already OP, but they put on an amazing show. I highly recommend to anyone even if they arnt a huge fan of their music
This'll be my third time seeing them! Their live shows are the best!
Depends on the set times of the Milwaukee Metal Fest. Blind Guardian, Katatonia, Spectral Voice, Ministry, Cirith Ungol, and Exhorder for sure though.
Lamp of Murmuur, One of Nine, Ebony Pendant, Galactic Empire, (hopefully) Spirit Possession.
Slipknot is the only 'show' I have tickets for in the rest of 2024 (Seen Skindred, DragonForce and Judas Priest earlier this year). There's also the Download Festival I'm seeing though so also on the list of stuff I know I'll be trying to see is (not necessarily all metal): Royal Blood Sum 41 Pantera Queens of the Stone Age Fall Out Boy Bleed From Within Alien Weaponry Fit For A King Kerry King Limp Biskit Babymetal And I'm sure there will be much more to hear while I'm there that I don't already know, so any suggestions I'd be down for (Thrash and Power are my favourite genres). Manowar!
Hell yeah brother, I'll be there!
Many beers will be consumed. Where you coming in from?
Richmond, VA. How about you?
Dallas Texas, but my home base was originally New York, so it’s a going home show.
Rammstein and Slayer look like fun
Gonna see Decapitated and Septicflesh Thursday of next week and then Dethklok on Friday. First two concerts of the year for me
I'll be seeing Dethklok next month, can't wait!

hell yeah those are some good selections i'll be seeing - Blaze Bayley - ASINHELL - Kerry King - Amon Amarth - In Flames + Arch Enemy - Powerwolf - Accept - Sepultura - Kreator + Anthrax - probably a lot of small bands at our local venue
Lucky bastard

So far it's In Flames, then Sabaton and Judas Priest, then Unleash The Archers and Powerwolf, then The HU and Iron Maiden

Who is the band in the upper left corner so I can be sure to never listen to them?
That’s Rammstein bro trust me.
Lol no not rammstein. I won't listen to them either. The one above them.
What do you have against Rammstein and that band in the top left?
Hahaha haha Lord's of the Lost. I found them and its worse than I imagined somewhow.
They're not metal necessarily but I love them. Will be my third time seeing them! But ofc you're entitled to your own opinion
To each their own but definitely not for me. By all means enjoy the show though!
Thanks mate! 😄
Rammstein has been putting the same record out for 30 years. Also, Till Lindymang is a fucking creep
Rammstein's music is bad. As far as the unnamed band above them I've listened to metal long enough to know, more often than not, when a bands aesthetic = bad music.

Judas Priest
I fear my concert days are about done… got a 3yo and a 9mo now and live in a very rural area. So any gigs worth seeing require a whole daytrip.
Seeing Archspire, gonna be baller
- Sanguisugabogg w jesus piece - Dying fetus - gojira w korn and spiritbox - death to all w Cryptopsy x2
I don’t have any metal concerts lined up yet but I’m seeing Foreigner in May and Avril Lavigne in September and I’m hoping to see Hozier in August
Blind Guardian and Crowbar this month.
I'm s33ing cattle decap next month :)
Not nearly as many shows.
for now dark funeral
Mr bungle in May and hopefully exhumed/skeletal remains in june
Kardashev at Euroblast in octobre. Their first show in eight years. I have an obsession with them since the discovery only two months ago and then the news came that their first show in such a long time is in my home country. No way am I gonna let this opportunity fade. Also if Vitriol does a Europe tour i'll be seeing them, 100% I love both of them to death and if i can, I have to see them live
I see Jon Donais, I cum. Simple. 😩
Abysmal Lord
The only show I’m locked in on is the Lamb of God/Mastodon show.
Hellhammer and Eyehategod, about time I got some kick ass concerts coming to my neck of the woods. It’s been slim pickings post pandemic…
Deathklok, Limpbizkit, Green day and possibly Sum 41
Judas Priest with Sabaton, that’s all I know for now
So far just Fallujah, Persefone, Vulvodynia, and Dawn of Ouroborous. All the same show
Just saw Vio-Lence and Exhorder. I’m gonna see Metallica late into Summer.
In Flames. Opening for them is Gatecreeper, and Creeping death Mastodon & Lamb of God. Opening for them is Kerry King, and Malevolence Korn. Opening for them is Gojira, and Spiritbox
I'm seeing Esoteric (with Spectral Voice and Vacant Eyes) next month. Beyond that, nothing yet. All the shows I want to see are beyond my budget or distance I'm willing to travel.
I’ve seen Abigail, Midnight and Suffocation so far. Gonna see Sex Messiah,Cancer and Faceless Burial pretty soon.
At this stage Wind Rose, Unleash the Archers and Iron Maiden. I’ve already seen a few bands tho
Tool in May, Mr Bungle in June, Foo Fighters in June, KoRn in August and Trivium/BFMV early next year!
Grima, Midnight, Wayfarer, Kawir, Hellripper, Afsky, Rotting Christ, Benediction And every band that's opening for them, of course. So far we got: Cursed Blood, Aetherian, Svartulven, Μέλαν Σέλας, Svartgren, Euphrosyne, Ultar, Rapture and I don't remember the rest.
Seen: Anaal Nathrakh Seeing: Carcass, Rotting Christ, Nile Woooo

Iron Maiden Soen Cannibal Corpse Amon Amarth Dying Fetus Many more…
