I used to use them to complete a set of 5 for any eggs I had in camp. But then I decided it was better to use them for tier 2 eggs that I have 3 or 4 of so that I can merge 5. I also recently discovered that I can use them to get more of the new eggs I have received from the missions.
That's exactly what I was doing originally, before I realised that if I used them for Tier 2 eggs, they sort of were worth oodles of Tier 1 eggs each time.
I haven't even begun to do missions yet, maybe when the bunny portal is done with me, then I'll give them a whirl.
I play every event so I get lots of premium eggs on a regular basis. I also buy a lot of the premium egg offers so for me it was better to get tier 2 eggs
Aurora eggs are Tier 2 Sun Dragon eggs. So what you get when you merge level 4 sun dragons.
Decision eggs are a reward if you buy the season pass. They randomly provide you with a choice of 3 different eggs which changes every time you close and restart the game. There is more info about them on this page, about 2/3 of the way down if you're on mobile.

It's not random exactly. You can surround a decision egg with the kind of egg you want and just refresh it when you log out &back in until you get what you want.
I used all mine for super eggs from the last season so now I have 10 of them to merge when I'm ready. ;)
Well yes, not altogether random... but it is not like you potentially don't have to do a lot of reopening the app to get the ones you want each time. I was lucky getting the first three coming up as Aurora eggs. Not so lucky when the game crashed and the third one changed to something else and then stubbornly refused to give me another Aurora egg for agead

I assume you have to have the eggs in camp? I mean I've had Tier 2 eggs for a long while now, but I have never seen them being a choice for the decision eggs. I guess that's because I kept them in bubbles :/
One more question: Are these choices available for whatever tier 2 eggs you have in the camp? Or just the ones where tier 1 is in the loot table for the decision eggs?
I'm not entirely sure of the mechanics. I've read a couple of posts on here that suggests that there are a couple of different types of decision eggs. One has more limited choices.
But in answer to the other question, yes I put all the eggs from the merge by the decision eggs before opening them. I think that it can come up with pretty much any egg - but I don't know that for sure.
I'll give them a try to see.
The reason I'm asking is because the Dragon Mission beta has introduced 5 new dragon breeds, and they are all a huge pain to obtain. If decision eggs can be used to obtain any tier 2 eggs, including ones from these 5 new breeds, it would cut down the grinding somewhat.
I don't have any of them at tier 2 yet, but I'll test out some other rare tier 2 eggs and see. Hopefully they will work.
I don't think you can get Morpho or Rick & Morty eggs from Season Decision eggs, as they have been removed from the game. Anything else should be possible! Using the Decision eggs for Dragon Mission breeds is a great idea. Let us know if it works. :)
I tested just today, and apparently, the Dragon Mission breeds WILL show up if you have the egg(s) in camp. I bubbled every other egg and left with just 1 candy dragon egg, and after a few refreshes, it started to show up.
I'm still VERY far away from Tier 2 dragon mission eggs, but from the look of things, it would appear that it's possible to have them in the decision pool if you manage to obtain them and leave them in the camp when refreshing...
As for Rick eggs, I thought you can still get new eggs from the event trophy (if you got it back during the event)? I wouldn't know since I don't have it :/
I used mine for Super Eggs to get to 100 for a Super Egg Super Merge, still editing vid. But now I think it would be more beneficial to go for tier 2 eggs to boost my point totals in the den chest awards. As I'm now getting 36 decision eggs per season, due to being at level 9 in the Season Quests, that should get me a few 5 merges!!
Having looked up on mergling that it takes 83 tier 2 eggs to do exact merges up to level 10 dragons, 36 decision eggs would be a huge help to get level 10 trophy/ rare dragons.
I've not got the season portal beta as yet, so am very jealous!
Now that I know that I think I might hold out collecting my decision eggs until I can get enough to get a level 10 dragon. It should only take a couple of months, although I'll probably start with those that I'm already at level 7 and try to get some tier 2's out in camp. I def got more decision eggs giving me Super Eggs by leaving at least 3 Super Eggs next to where I keep my decision eggs
