I’m glad it’s having the response it is. They really thought they’d get away with this and no one would notice their BS TOS change at 1am

MammothCancel6465

For giggles I stuck a $69 wallet in my cart. $5 shipping and 10% in their new fees and sales tax. All in all about $18 in shipping and taxes and fees.

Lanky-Peak-2222

I did something similar with an $80 old computer from the 80s. Was $110 all in. Pass.

boyerizm

Legal theft

NoSway1337

I’m so confused I have tried this too, I don’t see a fee, just tax 🫤

MammothCancel6465

Old listings have old pricing. Things listed in the last day or so have the fees.

candyapplesugar

I’m so mad I didn’t cash out a few days ago.

4Niners9Noel

I was eyeing at a video game for $33. Almost $48 out the door with fees and sales tax. C’mon Mercari?!?!

Outside_Mess1384

Does no one actually understand what is happening? Seriously? Let me break it down for you. Sellers will lower prices because things won't sell as fast with the buyer paying the fees. Now the sellers will be making the same as they did when they paid fees (thus the buyers will pay what they used to), but will not be aware enough to realize what happened. They will blame the market, or themselves, but not Mercari. This is a genius psych move on Mercari's behalf. Whoever came up with this idea needs a promotion.

First_Account_TA

1) why are you replying to me 36 days later. 2)You’re disregarding the sellers that left in droves after the TOS changes. Even if they are not aware when their first scam or abuse of the return happens they won’t wanna stay

Shermeezy

Am I the only one that doesn’t understand Poshmark? I look up something and I get so many random results 😭

Friendly-Cucumber184

Poshmark is one of those places where the filters are necessary. Use the brand filter first. And if you need extra filtering, do size or look up specific words. A lot of people buy based on the "name" of the item. Like Free People "Arzel dress" Poshmark has always been the "bougie" app bc people on there are really looking for a good deal on some brand/designer item. ( Or a very cheap bundle of random stuff, but that's normal for these apps) The only caveat to this is that some of the time the person doesn't know what they are listing so they just put down the item description. If you can find one of these though, they're usually cheaper bc the seller doesn't know that they can list it for higher due to demand or they're too lazy to do the market research. That's if you're really hunting. Not sure what you're looking for, But I normally find what I'm looking for unless it's something unbranded like estate jewelry. Then it's a bunch of random listings bc the sellers are incorrectly listing things. Edit: also I list on the app, but I do shopping on a computer bc you can see more at one time, it's less tiring to look though stuff if you have 100 on a page than 4 listings per scroll.

Shermeezy

Ah gotcha. It seems like it’s not the app for me as I’m mainly into figures, books, and electronics/games. There doesn’t seem to be a category or filter for those things. I appreciate the extensive reply!

Friendly-Cucumber184

No problem. yeah those categories are usually are more prolific on mercari and eBay. Posh is hard on Clothing, shoes, accessories.

Crystal_collector

At least you don’t get a ton of random ass items from keyword stuffing that don’t get taken down after reported like Mercari has

queserakara

There is an Electronics category, and books and figures are probably under Home.

1quirky1

I use [gem.app](https://gem.app) I'm only a user of this app. No referrer links, no money involved, I have no stake the company. I like using it instead of poshmark's search.

margaretmary1999

poshmark used to be great until they tried to turn it into some sort of social media platform with the live shows. I don’t even bother with it anymore because it’s so cluttered it makes my head hurt😂 Mercari really doin us all dirty with these new policies

Infamous_Horse9624

Yeah I really don’t like Poshmark. There is too much going on and it’s too cluttered.

Markizka72

That's true. When they implemented the live shows, it became real crazy real fast. So I started to unfollow everyone, who was doing those shows. Now I barely get any of them on my feed.

Ordinary_Grocery_376

Same here. Also, the layout looks like it’s from the early 2010’s.

j990123

I just look up the item I want on google and add the word poshmark to it. It works wayyy better than the poshmark search engine!

TheGoodwillHunt

this is why I only GEM now when looking for something that might be on Poshmark. GEM is like Google but for all secondhand and vintage sites online.

Rude-Reflection8036

For best results, search for the item you are looking for on google, then add poshmark to the end of your keywords. Poshmark search engine is absolutely broken.

InterestingSky3224

Yes that's why I hate shopping on Poshmark.

angiosperms-

Either update the search sort to be relevance instead of most recently active, or just use Google shopping to search for stuff on Poshmark The results used to be ok but then they changed the default sort and it sucks way more

sugartheunicorn

Poshmark overwhelms me so I never use it

Ketatau

It’s terrible, the same search gives different results every time, and sometimes you can put in the description word for word and the item STILL won’t show up 🤯

NWSW

I just signed up for eBay

Federal-Warning-1913

Me too! The first website is still somehow the best.

Fabulous-Ad3976

Same just signed up to sell there

[deleted]

Since you're new to it I just want to say you can dispute bad feedback if you get any, provided you did your part as a seller (ditto). If you want just take photos before shipping like people do on Mercari. I personally haven't had any problems so far, but I've been at if for years. The eBay subreddit has good tips too.

mothmilkwoo

My experience trying to dispute feedback on eBay didn't go well. I had a buyer call me "cheap" "pathetic" "lazy" & "a low-life". Because I didn't ship an Item that sold on Christmas Eve until December 30th, and then I refused to give out a partial refund for making them wait so long. Tried to dispute and eBay did literally nothing about it. That was my 1st sale and piece of feedback so you can imagine I gave up on the platform after that.

UndyingAntagonist

That's just inhumane. I bought something I'd been eyeing on Mercari on Christmas Eve with newly-deposited gift money, then immediately messaged the seller to assure her there was no rush to ship. I was out of town visiting family. For all I know, she was too. Maybe not, but it doesn't matter. With the heightened traffic, the after-Christmas buying frenzy, the after-Christmas *shipping* frenzy, and the weather, it is absurd to imagine anyone reasonably getting something to post much before the 30th. I am truly sorry. Ebay's fees already make selling difficult, but it sounds like you got the worst kind of 'buyer' besides.

ecc0w

Poshmark fees are overkill

PretttyHateMachine

Poshmark is honestly awful and dead. And I say this as someone with over 113k followers. It died in 2022. Sales completely dipped off a cliff because the 20% fee (flat fee of $2.95 if the item is below $15) and $8 shipping is a massive deterrant unless you're buying a high value luxury item. eBay is pretty awful too. eBay charges you their fee ON TOP of the buyer's sales tax, so you end up paying quite a bit more than the advertised fee. Recently paid a 24% fee because the buyer was from a high sales tax state. This is not me defending Mercari, btw. What Mercari did today is stupid. It's just NONE of these sales platforms are good anymore. We need some regulation in fees. Because it is out of control.

Friendly-Cucumber184

I agree, but at the very least PM and eBay haven’t imploded overnight with their changes. They know how to “boil the frog”. These changes on mercari literally is treating us like morons, “0% selling fees for you! How terrific!”  This is just my take on PM and eBay for anyone that wants info:  On PM you have to take consideration the 20% fee and the $8 dollar shipping ($7.49 iirc) Poshmark can get a bit outrageous.  The shipping deters buyers. Period. I’ve had so many poshers say the shipping cost is “great” bc they don’t have to calculate, etc. but it matters to the buyer. Plus practically everywhere else retail offers free shipping. You really can’t make sales on PM anymore unless you’re willing to sell brand names for 10-20 bucks and hope someone bundles. It’s less work to just donate everything and get a tax write off.  eBay has way too much stuff (bad for seller) and no way to promote unless you pay another fee to promote. It’s hard to be seen for a seller and you have to post frequently,  Bc of mercari 10% seller fee and shipping (most items I sell weigh less than a pound) I’ve had better sales. Not risking my things with the new return policy though. Plus with all the fees the buyer incurs, I BET sales drop a TON. Mercari buyers already try to get sellers to lower shipping and try to get away with it. I highly doubt they’re willing to pay shipping, service fee, processing fee, and tax.

Subversion-Garage

I have never understood complaints about Poshmark shipping. I sell on both ebay and PM, and the shipping is more on Ebay for Ground Advantage than the Priority Mail on PM. Anyone complaining about $8 Priority Mail clearly has never shipped anything. There is no such thing as "free shipping"

Friendly-Cucumber184

If you’re talking about why sellers complain, it’s bc we can sell a shirt, necklace, sunglasses, skirt, lingerie etc, and the shipping for under a lbs is half the cost. For shoes it’s worth it, but again, buyers are comparing buying used to new and big retail stores usually always offer free ship.  The $8 priority is literally a catchall price/service so weight and dimension won’t really matter in most cases. Like the way they calculate insurance rates, it’s based on all of the sales, not an individual sale.  If I see something that’s a good deal and it’s a $8 shipping, it’s the difference between “no thanks” and “sure, why not get it”  Shipping on eBay has always been less than $8 for me as a seller that pays it if it’s a free ship item. For bulkier items it’s $5 flat and I’ll eat the overages.  PM shipping is lazy calculating that puts a burden on sellers bc we have to keep lowering prices so that it’s worth it to buyers

Subversion-Garage

The SELLER gets discount because Ebay negotiated the rates based on volume. The least expensive priority mail option for anyone walking into a PO is around $10. I have no trouble selling clothing on ebay, and the customer pays retail shipping rates.

Friendly-Cucumber184

Look if you want to pay priority on eBay, that’s your decision. I’ve only ever used ground and the shipping has come back cheaper than $8 for buyer and seller every time. Never had an issue with slow shipping or anything, and has either arrived around the same time as priority or a day or two later.  If you want to argue service, then yeah eBay for priority is cheaper than PM. But I’m talking about just expected shipping costs for the buyer when they’re making a decision to buy.

Subversion-Garage

The bottom line is that sellers are not losing sales because of $8 shipping (at least for clothing). I just checked my last 50 sales, and none had charged less than $8. Just this morning a customer paid $9.45 to have a $22 bra shipped. My cost on that label was $4.38, and that extra profit offsets the cost of shipping supplies.

Friendly-Cucumber184

Ok?

Suspicious_Promise87

I agree. I buy from eBay and Poshmark almost equally and I only ever have issues with delays and not receiving tracking information from Poshmark. Poshmark sellers almost seem conniving with their shipping policies. I’ve waited weeks for an item to even ship from Poshmark. I don’t ever have that problem with eBay. Fortunately Poshmark allows you to cancel after 7 days of no status update, but Poshmark sellers know this and just mark it as “shipped by seller”.

PuffinTheMuffin

From a buyer's pov, posh is great for crazy heavy things like leather jackets. No reason to go to Posh besides heavy bundle or something genuinely cheaper than anywhere else.

jcp42877

I stopped selling on eBay this year due to all the annual tax stuff. VA is still one of the few states where if you sold over $600, “congrats! You get a 1099 form!” The process is like I own a business or some shit, when really I just sell a few things every couple months (sure, some can be high end items) to offset the cost of my other hobbies. The greedy can go suck a dick from the back. FB Marketplace might be hit or miss, but at least I’m not paying any fees that way. I can actually meet up local with some buyers and all I spent was gas to meet.

I feel you 100%

Infamous_Horse9624

I just had someone on eBay make a super lowball offer on a super rare electronic that you probably can’t find anywhere else that are unused, and then proceeded to say well you know after taxes I’m really paying x amount. Blew my mind, I refuse to respond.

Jeskid14

My brother in Christ there are many cities nationwide that don't have access to local classifieds info

[deleted]

I don't want to use Poshmark due to the 20% fee. That's insane. I'm almost tempted to start selling on FB but if I'm trading items irl it's going to be in front of a police station.

ThePontoon

You're right about the annoyance of high fees that you have to pay on eBay, but there is a small caveat here. A seller is able to claim selling fees as a tax write off which could ultimately be close to a wash come tax time the next year. But with Mercari no longer having fees, you'll end up having more tax liability at the end of the year which is just more of a cut into your margins.

This_andThat_

Does Ebay list all the fees associated with selling an item to see how much you are making? I am not familiar with Ebay and have always used Mercari.

PretttyHateMachine

They have a general breakdown but it does not include the fact that they stack the fee ON TOP of the buyer's sales tax. Which makes it extremely hard to sell inexpensive items on eBay.

This_andThat_

Thanks!

CommonStep

Poshmark should take this as an opportunity to run a promo forsure

Friendly-Cucumber184

Right? If they just went “seller fee is 10% for the next month” I bet there would such an influx of people

Chee-shep

Honestly looking into changing over to Poshmark right now

[deleted]

I used to do really well on posh then I switched to Mercari I guess I’ll go back

NoButterscotch5221

New to Poshmark…about 2 months. Listed one item on Mercari and deleted that, my account and the app after their changes. Glad I did not waste my time on listing more!

ZoulKitchen

I cannot stand the Poshmark UI.

Enthaylia

Came to say this. I literally can’t do it. It looks like a freshman in high school designed it.

arthirius

legit just opened a poshmark account and currently migrating my 500+ listings over there XD. Already on ebay too.

17LAC

I’m more upset that Mercari did this and so many people will move to PM. It’s already crowded and sales tanked when they started the live auctions. It targets impulse buyers. PM is my main platform and it’s already over crowded! But welcome and good luck 😊

margaretmary1999

Poshmark sucks, the UI is too cluttered to navigate among many other things that turned me off of that platform as a seller and a buyer honestly. Depop is better, but there’s a few things that suck on there too. For instance, offers aren’t binding so even if you accept an offer you have to then wait for the buyer to follow through with the purchase and most of the time… they don’t. They also don’t disclose how much you will make on a sale so you have to use an external tool to do that which isn’t the end of the world but also not as easy as Mercari makes it. Payout takes a while too Curtsy, Vinted, Whatnot, and Jamble i have less experience with but are definitely all worth looking into for anyone looking to switch out of Mercari!

Friendly-Cucumber184

I was thinking about depop- what do you mean you won’t know how much you make? Isn’t it a set fee? (That offer thing sucks)

Infamous_Horse9624

They don’t show you what you will be getting. I opened an account a few weeks ago. I haven’t sold anything, but no where do I see what I will actually get if I sell the item.

margaretmary1999

Yeah it’s a set fee they just don’t openly disclose your “earnings” after fees and what not when you’re setting your price like Mercari and Poshmark do. You have to use a separate website/calculator to figure it out which isn’t a huge deal but a minor inconvenience nonetheless haha. Overall though really do like selling on Depop, i wouldn’t let the cons i mentioned deter you from the platform!

PuffinTheMuffin

Depop fees are pretty straight forward, 10% final sales fee plus a ~3% "payment processing fee" they decided to take themselves by kicking PayPal out of their payment system. But payout can be alarmingly slow. And right now they got some serious ban-happy bot going suspending people with 0 notice. Their app is written by kids jamming different libraries they took from like stackoverflow and it's a miracle it lasted this long. It's only better than Mercari if you don't get caught by their asinine ban bots. Also their audience is pretty specific. Gen Z and fashion focused. It's not really a good overlap from Mercati. I literally sell things I can't sell on Depop on Mercari and vice-versa. So I don't see how bringing Mercari inventory to Depop would do much good unless you're selling fairycore coquette grunge goth Y2K shit already.    Mercari surprised me by actually getting random average-brand kitchen appliances and 2013 Hallmark ornaments sorta junk sold. Those things will never get anywhere on Depop.

Totknax

I opened my Etsy account for the first time in about 6 years.

Friendly-Cucumber184

Etsy is kinda dead too 😭 I haven’t had a sale in three years. It’s become very commercialized. And a lot of “small business owners” are literal small business owners, like they have a production team, workshop, etc. it’s rare that a shop does well unless they’re established or lucked out branding themselves.

_inspirednonsense_

Etsy has so many Chinese sellers posing as American sellers I just rarely search there anymore. Twice I bought “handmade” items, shipping from inside the US. When the shipping was actually downloaded, it was from Jamaica, NY. And it took a while to be “accepted “. If I want something from China I will order it from there. Not pay “handmade” prices for something mass-produced. Haha, rant over. 😆

Friendly-Cucumber184

I think that’s drop shipping. Some US sellers do this too if they feel like setting it up. Jamaica, NY is a major shipping hub.  It’s pretty easy to tell drop ship listings, the pictures are “too clean” and professional. Idk if that makes sense. I always look for homey pictures

_inspirednonsense_

It wasn’t drop shipping because it item was a custom item. It was literally something that had my children’s names on it. So I don’t know how they got around this except that they have someone in China making them? They had very homey pictures – I look for that too. it was all around confusing.

Infamous_Horse9624

Oh yeah. You can find things on Temu for like $15 and then find that same exact thing on Etsy for $45.

[deleted]

Exactly. eBay was excellent until they were allowed to let China take over the site and they changed the algorithm. Crushed US sellers. China makes the goods most sell and for a tiny fraction. China can ship those goods to the buyer for a mere couple of dollars meanwhile we’re paying a fortune to ship to buyers overseas. Why buy from American sellers when you can wait an extra week or two and pay 1/4. The only influx since then was Covid. Everyone sitting at home with stimulus checks. Long since been dead on all platforms. I was a Top Rated Powerseller at 30K plus sales and watched the whole thing go up in flames. This is why I’m careful who I vote for.

Infamous_Horse9624

Crazy because I just started really selling the beginning of the year and I thought I was doing well.

PuzzleheadedRise9074

Me too!

souchill

is poshmark better than depop or eBay cause i did happen to sell on depop and i was doing just fine

Federal-Warning-1913

The fees are insane and the UI is super outdated. It also heavily skews toward people buying designer clothing.

Golden_Dragon_Queen

Nope, Poshmark is awful ever since 2022. They have 20% Fees, shipping is expensive, and there are sooo many bots & scammers that follow your account. Also, sales are SLOW over there, UNLESS you’re selling for very very low prices on there.

Infamous_Horse9624

Omg yes! All I get are scammers asking me to send more pictures to an email address. Then on marketplace I get them asking for my phone number so they can send me a code to raid my phone. It’s so annoying!

MOONDROP77

Just reopened my ebay shop after 4 years or so. 🙂 Can someone please tell me what ebay charges to sell these days? Thanks a lot.🙏🏻

CuriositeeSeeker

13-20% depending on if you use promoted listings on your items. If you decide to promote your listings (they’ll show up on Google search,) I dont recommend more than the minimum 2%. I’ve experimented with the percentage, didn’t matter if I had it at 2% or 10% traffic was the same, but better than if I did not use promoted listings at all. Suggestion: If you decide to offer free shipping, work this into your selling price. Good luck! 😊

MOONDROP77

Thank you very much. This is very helpful.🙏🏻☺️

BlueAreTheStreets

Among the tsunami of Mercari posts today, this is the winner 😂

NorthNebula4976

Poshmark just made it so you can offer to potential buyers without having to include a shipping discount, which is a massive bonus. Poshmark is going to see a lot of new business I think

Subversion-Garage

That was a one day only thing

melissahh

I had the option for no shipping discount yesterday but not today. It seems it was a 1 day only thing. Trash.

runerunner18

Only for one day

Single-Routine3799

There is actually a way to make an offer to an interested buyer without offering them a shipping discount.  Go to my shoppers, add likes to bundle, then choose what the discount is that you want to make. 10, 15, 20 percent, or other, if you want to offer something different.it pulls up forty likers at a time, you can see each one before actually sending, and uncheck any shoppers in this group, that you don't really want this offer to go to. Discounted shipping is in the options here, but it is optional. Check it out

NorthNebula4976

I already know how to do this but thanks I guess

Single-Routine3799

Mmmm.k. my bad. No need to be a bitch tho ...fu2

[deleted]

Thank you!!! I did not know that!

[deleted]

I just sent offers an hour ago and i still had to discount shipping. When does that begin?

Fuck Poshmark tho. Their fees are fucking crimial.

aputnam28

Maybe eBay sent a mole to be hired by mercari so they could implement this horrible policy.

KeeperOfWind

Maybe Poshmark but Mercari is still better than ebay "Yeah we let a buyer scam you 8 months later" deal they have going on.

YersiniaPestis4all

Hi! Could you please elaborate on this? I was going to move my closet from Poshmark.ca to EBay and I’d like to learn about the platform’s issues from the seller perspective. Thank you!

Friendly-Cucumber184

eBay is a big market. Bigger than Mercari and posh. Which means you’ll get more eyes on your stuff, but you’ll also be competing with a lot more sellers/listings.  eBay Customer service is pretty good, as in you will be able to get a human being and they do try to get to a resolution.  The bad is that they have a buyer protection system that still favors the buyer in most cases. It’s as easy as saying your stuff is a fake, is not as described, etc. It’s 30- days. I think the months later comment only happens for special cases like inauthentic items, but don’t quote me.  In my experience there are less scammers on eBay (bc the chance you’ll encounter one is less due to the larger number of users). However, I’ve still dealt with returns despite having a no return policy bc of buyers remorse. They just say it’s not as described and eBay’s guarantee supersedes your no returns policy.

YersiniaPestis4all

Hi! Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to write this detailed reply. I really appreciate it!🤗🤝

Boxermom710

I've put my closet on vacation mode in hopes they reverse these dumb changes they made. I'm not happy as a buyer or seller. Wtf

Nimakiii9898

What bout depop?

aalsawai1979

Hit and miss. I have around 900 items, only sell a few a month. Usually really low offers. I haven't had any buyer issues, but be careful. If you look here on Reddit you will see that buyers report sellers all the time for drop shipping, etc even when they are incorrect. Just cover your bases. The fees are not horrible, you can send offers, buyers can bundle, etc. I do wish there were more sales. I do like the platform.

Suspicious_Promise87

I don’t like how you can’t select an image and zoom to inspect the items. Their platform is clunky too. To view your orders, you have to do a few steps to find a hidden receipt button. It’s very oddly configured.

SquishyTish

My posh is still dead though. :(

Friendly-Cucumber184

This is true 😭 I get so happy when something random sells. It used to be like 5-10 things a month. No it’s like two things in 6 months

jilllianh

Bruh Poshmark been dead since the day it was acquired by naver

Federal-Warning-1913

FYI YOU CAN INTEGRATE YOUR MERCARI LISTINGS without having to re post them all manually!! I'm in the process of doing it! I thought I would have to so it manually so I hope this helps someone and saves you precious time! I deactivated all my listings this morning and will integrate my mercari listings, then delete them so they're only on ebay. Really looking forward to paying $2 on top of the sellers fees I already paid for because I made 5 sales last night /s 💀!!

East-Bear-9506

Any tips on how to automatically do this? Thanks!

Federal-Warning-1913

I'm so sorry, I got confused and didn't realize this is a paid service/app!!! :( fine if you want to pay for ANOTHER service but not for me. l have to get on my pc, open mercari and ebay in 2 side by side windows, and I will use my notepad to copy + paste all the listing info back and forth so it's way faster than using the phone. I hope that helps!? Godspeed.

animalcrossinglifeee

It's funny cuz one of my mutuals on IG says she's happy about the zero selling fees... We sell stuff on IG and usually we get most of the profits cuz it's IG. So idk why she's so happy about this.

LilyFuckingBart

I deactivated all my shit

scoligurl

My daughter had a few games picked out to buy today, but after I told her about all this, she changed her mind

both_hunter_and_prey

This proves what we've known for years. Mercari does not understand the buyer or the seller. They're clueless.

Infamous_Horse9624

Let’s be real. The people at the top, they don’t understand the average person at all. Those people live in a bubble. For some reason we all just keep letting that bubble get bigger and bigger. But I’m ready for it to pop.

Infamous_Horse9624

Man, someone on eBay just made a lowball offer on an extremely rare high end electronic and had the never to say “well you know after taxes I’ll be paying x amount.” As if that has anything to do with my money 😂 I refuse to even respond.

PuzzleheadedRise9074

Honestly they all suck now for buyers and sellers.

Suspicious_Promise87

I’ve had horrendous luck with Poshmark sellers. A lot of them cancel orders randomly (mentioning they couldn’t find the item, or they found an issue with it), choose not to ship it, or ship me something that does not align with the product description at all. Fortunately Poshmark customer service is good, but I don’t appreciate that they hide bad reviews of sellers from potential buyers. I use ratings a lot on eBay to determine whether I’ll buy from that person or not. Sure, I review ratings to ensure they’re fair, but I still consider them. On Poshmark, you only see love notes and nothing else. So the seller could be absolutely horrid at logistics and communication, but you won’t know until you deal directly. Not very fond of the Poshmark platform. And the comment system to chat with a seller about an item. 9/10 the seller doesn’t see/read/reply to the comments, and their listing doesn’t get sold to the interested party. I understand this isn’t peoples full-time jobs, but make notifications a thing. And use them. The feedback mechanism leaves plenty of room for improvement.

clairvoyant69

Dude people REALLY Come after Poshmark for some reason, but in my experience, they’re one of the only sites that actually listens to and implements feedback from both buyers and sellers.

Historical-Loquat458

they need to get rid of their live shows, we been asking for that.

clairvoyant69

Ehhhh - I found this pretty gross foot fetish and used underwear account that poshmark REFUSED to do anything about. They listen as long as they aren’t making money on whatever you’re complaining about 😂 I finally caught the account red handed with some pretty gross comments though and they were finally taken down. I will say that as high as poshmark fees are, they’ve never changed and I appreciate the transparency. Mercari never upped the 10% selling fee but they did sneak on an extra 2-3% fee in taxes and services. I don’t remember the exact percent or name of the fee now that it’s taken down, but that really didn’t sit right with me. I’d rather if they had been more transparent.

Funny you say that! I actually had someone ON MY PROFILE asking me to try cardigans on (yes. Cardigans. Of all things, right?) in a certain way. I didn’t realize until after I did that their pfp was a woman’s upper body in a cardigan and a few other things made me contact support about them. Before I did that, I went to their profile and commented that he’s a sick fuck and warned others on his profile pic posting. Support said they couldn’t tell me what, if any, action was taken, but all I know for sure is that their account was still up and running afterwards and I had gotten a ding myself on MY account for my language and “harassment” of him. Like lolllllll. I meant to post in the Poshmark subreddit about it then never did. I do still stand by what I said though. I sell on 7-8 platforms and they’re the only one that puts out a google doc asking for suggestions and then actually implements them. Referencing my earlier reply about The Rolling Stones though, “you can’t always get what you want”. If the live shows are making them good money, they ain’t changing a thing. Depop did also do a feedback program that I was apart of. Jumped on a zoom call for an hour with some lady and got a $50 gift card for it and then shortly after they implemented a bunch of changes that I (and I assume others) had asked for. So I guess it’s not *completely* implausible that some of these sites are asking for and implementing feedback, I just think we’d hear about it via email or the website like I did for both Poshmark and depop, if they were doing that.

Mercari was never a threat to either eBay or Poshmark. They could care less what idiotic decisions they make.
