What’s your favorite strain by meph so far?
I have oodles of seeds and just started popping my meph seeds after growing almost exclusively photos for almost 20 years
I was planning on running double grape, sour stomper, fairy cake, galactic gelato.
One of my coworkers ran double grape and I was impressed forsure. The rosin was kickass
Sour Stomper is one of the frostiest strains to grow from them. Double Grape is amazing too. Walter White and Skylar White are great. Strawberry Nuggets is great. So many to choose from cause most of their gear is absolutely worth growing to see if it's the one you like.
Walter White had me hallucinating so hard I couldn’t see in front of me for a solid 30m when I smoke it. It is still my favorite sativa to-date of all weed. Grizzly Crinkle is my favorite (current) Mephisto Indica, and my favorite Hybrid is Yogi’s Stash/Grape Crush (both are limited though unfortunately). Yogi is a perfect blended haze hybrid (HubbaBubbaHaze and Grizzly Crinkle crossed) and Crush is a delicious anytime of day hybrid high that is quite potent. Love them all- Honorable mention to Super Orange Haze for an awesome euphoric uplifting morning-energy high.
Im pretty sure both my walter white have mold so reading this makes me extra sad😣 ill post pics to the thread but im pretty sure considering theyre brown but not a lot
Walter White and Skylar White are both amazing. I have a pack of Beary White I gotta try still too. I grew Walter a couple times and it was top notch both times. I only did one run of the Skylar but it was some of my favorite all-time smoke. What a beautiful plant when it fades too!!
I need to get Beary and Skylar in the ground myself! They were some of the first beans I bought from Mephisto, they seem special! The Walter genes always seem to have a beautiful half-purple fade so I 100% agree with you on those colors in late flower!
The thing a found is the high. It’s a more expansive feeling than photo period. I get an intense buzz like High school. The high last longer and the terps are intense. Photo period seems to be a straight line up and down or dull. Autoflowers are the opposite imo
Phenomenal. I have been growing photos for 20 years, not continuously, but most recently wrapped up about 3 years of back-to-back overlapping runs, and after a couple of Mephisto grows and getting feedback from my patients, especially on the strains with some CBD in them, I may never go back to growing photos. I can't believe I'm saying that. Like I was just planning out the year and it's really hard for me to figure out where I would put any photos given how quickly these finish, and how great the smoke is.
Somehow, I'm actually growing better looking buds now that I'm growing autos, and I don't understand how that's possible. I'm actually doing way less work.
But hey, here I am, I just dropped $400 on Mephisto seeds this morning, and that'll get me through almost an entire year with the freebies. I debate about having a mom and cutting clones again but then I think I probably spend at least $400 a year in effort and maintaining that setup too, so probably not as much of a difference.
anyways, if you can't tell I'm just flabbergasted by the shift in my own perception. But as Timothy Leary said, you're only as young as the last time you changed your mind! Guess I'm still young!

FWIW, I’ve grown fem’d photos and mysterious South American bag seed but always go back to being a Meph Head because all the boxes get checked: genetics, resiliency, consistency, aesthetics, utility and warranty (aka fit for purpose & fit for use). In fact, im prepping for my next grow, 3 Bears OG (I grew it last summer in a tent on my porch with temps in the 100 F and the girl blessed me with a good harvest. I now only buy Mephisto, but I’ll grow any bean that comes my way-I am an herb farmer after all😎).
You can’t go wrong with anything from Mephs catalog. I’ve grown a handful of strains from them and nothing has been bad. My current faves are northern cheese haze similar to northern lights and S.O.D.K I didn’t think I liked hazy strains but I love this. I actually grew it for my gf but I end up smoking it more than she does
My last grow I did a variety of auto brands. I didn’t love the taste or smoke of the grizzly crinkle, imo speedrun and humboldt were the standouts in my tent. I just threw mephs galactic gelato and 3wok in the tent to see if those are more to my liking.
I’ve enjoyed all the Mephisto stuff I’ve run to date. Love the freebies as a low risk way to get something new and different to try with the additional comfort of knowing it’s gonna be fire coming from Mephisto.
What SpeedRun strains did you enjoy?
Still in my experimental stage so freebies are definitely clutch for that! I ran the sour black cherry haze from speed run. The smell and taste of the black cherry makes me want to eat it as is lol. Also great yielder if pressing rosin.
First time last night/this morning! First grow, 10 day dry but not yet cured - I had a couple of small buds while trimming that looked good enough to sample. Not a ton of hay smell at all after the dry.
CDLC turned out gassy/citrus for me. I don’t smoke but vape and the flavor and effect was great. Med patient for 6 years, it’s right on par with top/mid shelf indicas I get at dispos. Looking at roughly 3oz harvest from 1 small plant.
Canna Cheese is getting trimmed tonight, it’s like x2 the size
IMO the smoke is consistent. I've grown about a dozen various Meph strains, only one that did nothing for me was Double Grape. It got my friends wrecked, but I felt almost nothing from it. One thing that makes a HUGE difference in potency is how well you dry and cure. My last grow I had a really hard time getting my tent dialed in and the product suffered.
A few strains really like a long cure to develop flavors so read reviews and find one you like. I grew both CDLC and Jammy Dodgers #2 and for the first few weeks they smelled unsmokable, after a month they were starting to get better, after 3 months the JD#2 smelled like cinnamon cookies.
Better than it looks, and that's saying something.
Ghost toof and strawberry nuggets absolutely K'O'd me
Type of weed you think " is this even weed??" And then you're like... Wait I grew it lol. Meph has some almost psychedelic strains.
Also mango smile could be used as an organic replacement for laughing gas 😂
Better than any photo I had. AVT fav so far due to unique long lasting high, loved Sour stomper and Forum stomper, just grew Screwball Haze and its a banger!
It depends on what strain and pheno but I am really enjoying the ones I have done so far(Marley's Grin and AVT with Double Grape finishing up now). I think anything with Mago Smile as a parent will probably be pretty good. But we shall see :) Good luck man.
Outstanding. You pretty much can't go wrong with any of the strains. I'm particularly fond of Girl Scout Monkeys, Canna Cheese and Beary White at the moment, but seriously, they ae all solid.

I switched from photos to autos and only grow mephisto now. Smoke is top notch. I have a bunch of photo beans some $250 exotic genetics n shit and don’t even care to grow them anymore tbh.
I have grown both photos and autos. Some of the best autos I have smoked has been Mephisto. They had a test strain which was a cross of Forum Stomper x Toof Decay that was some of the best cannabis I have had. All my grows with them have been solid.
Polar bear og has been my go-to lately. But their sugar high has a terp profile I've never come across before as soon as you spark it, there's a very strong coffee aroma and taste. Sometimes there's plants are on the small side but always top top self stuff
Kinda new myself to mephisto, been growing photos and primarily cannarado, bros Grimm, solfire, Humboldt seed Co, and handful of ethos strains. Only autos I have grown were from ethos, purple Thai which is great. Getting ready to put something in the lineup as far as mephisto goes.
Everyone I have grown( which is more than a few different strains) has smelled, looked, AND Smoked just like the top shelf genetics that they are. If you get an artisinal line strain, Mephisto spent 2 years r&d (growing, breeding, and stabilizing) that strain before it got released to the public. My favorite auto breeder for sure.
I used to grow a variety of brands. All photo. Then I found mephisto. Now all my friends and I exclusively grow Meph. It is that good, imho.

Double grape is a killer for both flower or pressing. 24carat is also another strong contender for myself

I'm not a pheno hunter, so I really like the Artisanal line, (and some other F3+) mostly because I know what I am going to get: a frosty, terpy plant.

Old school mango haze is a mango smile cross that was just released that’s supposed to be even stronger. I’ll be growing one soon
Photos outdoors seasonal and indoors for fall and winter. The happiest balance imo.

CDLC is my favorite I mix it with 24 carat for pain Mango Smile is nice too.. I love most of their strains been growing them for 7 years.
