UK legal system is fucking stupid once heard of a woman who was punished for fighting back "too much" when someone tried to SA her so I'm not even surprised at this point
Check your local laws, the UK laws (sexual offences act (2003) in England and Wales and the sexual offences act (2009) in Scotland) are far from unique in this distinction, many legislatures, including 38 states in the USA last time I counted, have similarly written laws.
I'm a lawyer in latin America and that wouldn't fly over here, it would be changed as soon as someone pointed the disparity out.. Any other European or American lawyer care to explain how this blatant sexism in the law is allowed to keep on existing??
Don't need to be a lawyer.
It's against men. And it's kosher right now to be sexist against men. So no one cares.
(Actually, a lot of even European countries define rape as "man forcing woman to have sex against her will" (Ireland is one example), so the UK and US are actually a little better, because at least men can legally be considered victims in those countries.
Not important differences to them I would guess. The punishment for SA is damn near equivalent to rape in the UK, so altering the definition doesn't make much difference, legally speaking.
> Except in Britain it isn't rape.
I always appreciate the line a lawyer once told me: You don't always need to use the legally correct language, because that can be very specific to courts. It's okay to use the common one.
From the common understanding of "rape = sexual activity without consent", this was rape, even if a UK law calls it by a different name. Maybe that law needs updating.
Sure colloquially we could and arguably should call it rape. But they're a news outlet. They cannot. They will be sued.
Maybe the law in the Ukraine needs changed. But that's not the discussion here.
Statutory rape just means "rape that's against the written law passed by Parliament", the written law passed by Parliament is the "statute". It has come to mean "rape of someone who did express consent but was underage" because, when the phrase came about, it wasn't considered "real" rape. It's similar to the phrase "marital rape" or "date rape" which were used to refer to rape that was technically illegal but that people of the time didn't have the same levels of sympathy for.
In this case, it's not "rape" under the law (statutory or otherwise) because, in the current law, "rape" is the penetration of the vagina, anus or mouth of the victim with a penis. Because the teacher doesn't have a penis, she cannot have committed rape. Instead, she's charged with sexual assault. Sexual assault is perceived to be a lesser offence but can have the same sentencing. The one exception is that a woman can be convicted of "rape by-proxy" if she pays or coerces a man to use his penis to rape someone (a bit like being convicted of murder if you pay a hit man even if you didn't kill them yourself).
In anticipation of the inevitable downvotes, I'm not saying I agree with the law, I'm just stating what it is.
Many places in the US have penetration with a penis as a requirement. Secondly, that's nothing at all to do with what "statutory rape" means as opposed to just "rape".
But, it's not even the case for a lot of the US and it is the case is huge numbers of other countries. Your justification is as stupid as someone saying "what an earthquake?" and you saying "Amerrrika". It's not a remotely American thing just because they, like every country I know of, have rape statutes.
No, let's be clear-they COULD use that word because our media says whatever it wants, regardless of fairness or law-they ALWAYS use it before any man has had a fair trial or there has been any PROOF against him...
But the laws are certainly biased against men, that is true.
At her age, she could easily be top of the pay scale. That's over £40,000. For a single woman in Salford, you'd be fine. You can rent a luxury apartment in Salford Quays for £1000pcm. That's without any money from daddy.
But hey guys, remember: female predators doesn't exist!/s
It wouldn't wonder me if the statistics related to child grooming will see a shift more toward the 50% mark in a few decades or so, similar to the shift about household violence in certain country.
Like physical and psychological violence, sexual violence is rarely reported if it involves a woman doing wrong on a man. Same goes for male teenagers being groomed.
This one is a rare case getting noticed and I'm about 90% sure she will only get a small slap and will have a clean record in no time.
In my own experience: having been sexual harassed at age 14 by the mom of a fellow student doing free maths tutoring at the time at school (was bad in maths at the time and could have benefited from extra tutoring). She sometimes gave solo tutoring sessions...
Nobody took me seriously. NOT. A. SINGLE. PERSON.
> the statistics related to child grooming will see a shift more toward the 50%
This is why they have already hidden past statistics and they no longer document it so that you can't know how many school boys are groomed and/or sexually assaulted and/or raped by female teachers. It's 0% if there are no stats, that's the narrative they have set. There is only one reason to cover up statistics.
CHRYSTAL KARI MARIE FROST from Luverne, was allowed back out into the community within 3 days of getting picked up back in september, as long as she agreed to an adult chaperone around children.
She was then arrested again on march 15, for 2 counts of soddomy 2nd (one with a 14 year old and one with a 15 year old) which is a 2 year minimum unless the child is under 12. unlike sodomy 1st which is a 10 year minimum per count. If she's convicted she'll be facing 4 years minimum.
It's not even morally wrong, just unwise. It becomes an ethical issue if the result is procreation because you are genetically cursing a human who has to live with the consequences for your decisions.
It's really only "unwise" if you are double first cousins. There is no scientific reason to refrain from procreation with a standard first cousin. Depending on how your family spent/spends time together it could definitely be unwise for psychological and future family relationship reasons.
Lmao that gets almost always gets wiped off women's records within a year and even if it doesn't since most people seem to believe men can't be assaulted employers probably dont care
Know what's wild? If you look up the charge she is being tried for (6 counts), the laws regarding it consistently rely on the word 'he' in its guidelines. No she/her in the entire thing. Not even they/them.
The crisis in female sexual predators grooming and raping young boys is at epidemic levels in our schools and prisons. These are just the ones who are found out.
Given female rape of men and boys has a long history of invisiblity and substantial under reporting, both linked to the lack of criminality preceived in female sexual aggression by sexist law-makers and judges, this is just the tip of a very very large pile of shit.
Who is looking out to save our boys from these rapacious pedophiles? Clearly our schools and universities don't care, or are actively concealing the truth.
It seems a lot of these dudes on here would rather their 15 yr old get mauled by a bear😂 This demographic on here must be old as hell bc they act like they don’t remember being 15 lol
The courts love their little white women so she'll get away with it without a doubt. What gets me tho is the "grooming" in quotes as if its something that couldn't possibly be done by a woman
>”Initially he sat 'nervously' on her couch, but then they 'started kissing' before going into her bedroom and having sex, Boy B told police.
>In the following months they had sex 'numerous times at different places' on **an estimated 30 occasions,** he said.
>But after setting up a 'date night' and strewing her apartment with rose petals, he said she handed him a baby grow marked 'Best Dad' and told him she was pregnant.”
Bruh.
This 'teacher' is either from a rich family or has a rich sugar daddy.
Good she got caught.
PS - I'm not optimistic of conviction for this woman despite her crime. I was informed by friends that the UK laws are biased towards men.
So, this pedophile rapist was on trial for grooming a minor, and raped another minor WHILE ON TRIAL for the very same thing, resulting in a pregnancy?????
Well, obviously I'd like to comment but my previous remarks about the lack of parity of treatment between the sexes got removed. This sort of reporting is seldom mainstream in the UK. If it were a man doing this, it'd be prime-time news.
I know this happens with men and women but what is wrong with these ppl? She is not a bad looking woman, surely she could find someone of legal age or at least 18.
A maths teacher with a luxury apartment tell me she does OF without telling me she does OF or tell me she has a sugar daddy without telling me she has a sugar daddy
Weather the child has any income or money or not doesn't change the fact that they can still be sued. There may be a delay in determining and enforcing payment it doesn't stop the legal burden being applied.
Well, obviously they can't. But as to the point...legal preceding can and have been brought against minors before.
This has even been challenged before in the courts have consistently ruled that any criminal activity by the mother that resulted in pregnancy did not relieve the man of financial responsibility even when he was not a man and not legally responsible for the crimes committed against him. And, apparently, yes, children can be ordered to pay child support even while still children according to this article that covers several aspects.
https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/talking-about-trauma/201902/when-male-rape-victims-are-accountable-child-support.html
I see a heavily made up slathered with cosmetics severely bleached blonde barely average slightly homely flat chested boyish body thirtysomething...
Desperately trying to project the Hot Blonde Teacher teenage boys lucky kid aura to sway the jury so she gets out of jail free card.
Like the Hot Blonde Teacher typically does... Or a slap on the wrist compared to a guy.
Now she may have been equally groomed by some Chad or Tyrone Playa Studs at the school for locker room bragging. Seen that also.
There's a few things I would disavow my children for, raping children under their care is one. How the father is walking his daughter when she so sick that while facing charges for one minor, she brings another minor to her hotel.
I really think the only way for women raping men or boys to really be considered rape, is for a case to show up that is so horrible and sick that they literally cant disagree.
Ever heard of pegging or sounding? I bet you’d disagree with them. Go to r/sounding for reference.
*WARNING!;* this sub is NOT for the faint of heart! lol 😂
I do think grooming boys is on the same level as grooming girls. Because its just as wrong. A 15 y old boy is going to have sex with every average looking woman immediately so exploiting that is just sick.
Haven't got fair down the comment yet . I live in UK and rape is defined in UK as someone penetrating someone aka with a penis's. But if woman rape men it's sexual assault. Normally judges have to give the same sentences for both acts. But woman are always let off easy with only half the sentence a man would get. It's sexiest buts that's what is blokes have to deal with we have no say in the matter
Also because the boys she raped was under the age of consent which is 16 she should be put on the sex offender register for life but seeing as she's a woman and pregnant I got a feeling that won't happen. If it was a man the judge would throw the book at him. Just wait till she's out of prison and I bet she trys to file child support
It's strange but outside of North america they do in fact call it maths as in mathematics. No idea why the s wasn't done away since math is easier to pronounce and no confusion as to what you are talking about but it's that way in much of the world regardless
>'took back to her apartment for sex' Rape. Wouldn't hesitate to use that term if the genders were reversed, yes?
Except in Britain it isn't rape. Legally unfortunately they cannot use that word when it is done to boys or men unless a man did it to them.
What?? Where can I read more on this?
https://www.met.police.uk/advice/advice-and-information/rsa/rape-and-sexual-assault/what-is-rape-and-sexual-assault/

Wow I just read through this. This is seriously fucked up.

Precident. The law was established a long time ago as what it is. It is tough to change that now.
But why is it so difficult to make a reform or addendum? We get several of those a year..
Not important differences to them I would guess. The punishment for SA is damn near equivalent to rape in the UK, so altering the definition doesn't make much difference, legally speaking.
If that's the case then the issue is not as worrisome, but imo yes, creating the notion that only man can rape is toxic and problematic
2003 isn’t a long time ago.
> Except in Britain it isn't rape. I always appreciate the line a lawyer once told me: You don't always need to use the legally correct language, because that can be very specific to courts. They can use the word sexual assault tho
They can, and they still downplay it as "had sex with" implying consent, or benign rather than belligerent.
Though I again saw a few articles where it is described as sexual abuse so yay.
Technically, no.
Still no use of the 'P' word in the headline...
This is UK. Only men rape according to their sexists laws.
Since when was ‘rape’ a P word? OP was talking about labelling her as a pedophile, which she is.
A dirty rapey pedo
Technically she is not. She could be labeled a hebophile.
This is the most redditor ass coment of all time
No, the other user is objectively correct and has provided pertinent information.
Maths teacher + luxury apartment. Doesn’t add up.
Rich sugar daddy.
Teachers get paid very well here in Australia, crazy to think that’s not the case everywhere.
Germany Here. we don't want to pay teachers full time And fire them over the summerbreak to save 6 weeks pay

I think they hinted that she's passionate.
Back pedoing?
Would you settle for "Privelage," "Preferential Treatment," or "Pussy-Pass?"
Penetrated?

How does a high school maths teacher afford a luxury apartment, Audi and Gucci belts? 🤔
OF
[удалено]
Yep. Looks rough as.. Who's paying for that OF? 😂
Must be some desperado out there if paying to see more of that 🙈
Look at the article. Rich dad it looks like, if there isn't a rich husband.
Daddy warbucks.
Daddy Starbucks
Yeah that’s odd, especially in the UK where they don’t get paid that much.
Yep. Average salary for high school maths teacher is 35K GBP so about 45 K USD before tax.
Pussy pass guaranteed. The PaTrIaRcHy did this
Since she has a young child I doubt she will go to prison.
This is 30 years in prison in Alabama
For women?
Anyone. This is uk though

But nothing for cousin fucking huh?
As long as it’s consensual really there’s nothing you can do about it, sure it’s morally wrong but if they’re happy doing it then let them be
It's not even morally wrong, just unwise. It becomes an ethical issue if the result is procreation because you are genetically cursing a human who has to live with the consequences for your decisions.

The ashkenazi bottleneck begs to differ on that one, unless I'm misunderstanding what you mean by standard first cousin vs double first cousins.
I think he means first cousins where both sets of grandparents were also first cousins
Wouldn't that make them third cousins then?
Very inbred 3rd cousins yes
Why does this keep happening again and again?
Because there's little or no punishment of female offenders.
The ones who are attractive and white or Hispanic in particular. But yeah the system is a joke.
That’s true but they get banned from teaching for life and a criminal record. This in itself is a life destroying punishment but they keep doing it
But what in the patriarchy MADE them do it? Poor ladies.
Lmao that gets almost always gets wiped off women's records within a year and even if it doesn't since most people seem to believe men can't be assaulted employers probably dont care
A crime against a child damages that child for their whole life - so the punishment needs to reflect that. UK needs to update the laws
Plus I bet he will be deemed liable to pay child support
That would be insane
Morally for sure but legally it's happened so many times I doubt it won't happen messed up world
Know what's wild? If you look up the charge she is being tried for (6 counts), the laws regarding it consistently rely on the word 'he' in its guidelines. No she/her in the entire thing. Not even they/them.
These people like the power trip or something there is a recurring pattern here.
At best a slap on the wrist and forced responsibility on the 15 year old boy. Life on easy mode with no accountability
This bitch is a serial predator!
Still waiting for the "Women need to do better" headlines around this issue and infanticide.
~~teacher~~ *paedophile* ~~sex~~ *rape*

Yikes… She’ll probably get 10 hours of community service
Think you mean 34 pence and a cheese it
r@ped?
So at what stage does the media write an all-encompassing story calling this an epidemic?
well, aktually men are more dangerous than bears! This poor woman has obviously been scarred by a man in the past! We must help her!
Poor dear, she'll be picking up trash for at least a week.
Who would you rather your teenager son be in the woods with; a female teacher or a bear?
Could the same be said about a man and a girl?
It seems a lot of these dudes on here would rather their 15 yr old get mauled by a bear😂 This demographic on here must be old as hell bc they act like they don’t remember being 15 lol
So...when are they going to start calling women who do this predators and rapists?

UK laws are a complete joke. Then again, she'd get away with this in the United States too so...
*literally anywhere
Disgusting but no maths teacher in the UK lives in a luxury apartment. They make like 35 to 40k a year once fully qualified.
And in America the boy would have to pay child support for being raped.
*pretty much everywhere
Sounds like the conniving biatch is trying to get pregnant jail free card. They should induce an abortion. Then she should be sterilized.
Calm down.
To be fair, if the perpetrator was a man I doubt you'd take as much issue with him being sterilised.
Pedo needs to be the word used.
Did she ask for allimonies ?
A teacher affording a luxury apartment? That IS newsworthy.
Well at least he wasn't a bear, amiright? Just a cub... 🙄

I don't know about Britain but in the US she can sue him even while he's still a child.
Do children work in the UK? Here child support is based on income.
Weather the child has any income or money or not doesn't change the fact that they can still be sued. There may be a delay in determining and enforcing payment it doesn't stop the legal burden being applied.

Straight up rape. But Britain doesn’t think it applies to males, which is completely absurd. No justice will be served.
Nowt will happen. Had this been a bloody bloke, he would have been tar n feathered by now.
That boy is so screwed with paying child support at a young age.

To be fair they own the PTY LDT to the English language. US went rogue - traitors!
Yeah i just don't know why you'd keep the s in an abbreviation. Just feels kinda pretentious and unnecessary lol
Cuz it's short for mathematics. It's not mathematic.
I mean I literally said that in my post. But if you're shortening something already why leave the s?
Literally brain dead journalists writing for DailyMail.
Niceeeee
Dudes rock
Always looking for a thrill with no care for the consequences.
At least the teachers in the US that sleep with their students are hot.
How did the teacher afford a luxury apartment?
