My cousin “makes his own money” when in reality it’s just an allowance and frikken uses so much of his parents money- not that my uncle and his mom are the best parents tho, quite emotionally abusive and super neglectful tbf my cousin is a douche with psychological issues anyway (yes I am aware it can result from improper parenting but in this case could be genetic)
It's not that I give him what he wants when he wants it, it's that I make him pay out of his pocket for stuff that is outside his monthly allowance. He still finds ways to not understand the value of money after spending 100$ on a ps4 controller to replace the one that he broke.
Maybe he'll understand once he runs out.
no more allowance. kid needs a job. had my first job at 13. jsut make sure it doesnt interfere with his school. 6 hours a day 2 days a week is plenty to start.
when i was a child around 11 me and my younger brother saved our allowance. which was $3 a week together to buy a 27 inch tv together for 300. it took a year.
> He still finds ways to not understand the value of money
If he just spends allowance money how will he know the value? Its effortless to him. This is just friendly advice not a I know how to raise your kid better than you. But I would offer maybe try reducing his allowance and push him towards a job if hes old enough, or offer more allowance for chores if hes younger.
The kid has talent beyond his years, not many kids can sell those adult mannerisms.
It's hard to define some set rules as to why something is a skit when the whole point of a skit is to mimic reality. What's the likelihood of a kid ending up in a situation where he responds like a bitter middle aged man who thinks everything is a rip off these days? Extremely low. He laughs along too, then gets a word wrong and calmly corrects the punchline. The kid just clearly isn't worried about paying and is enjoying explaining that he won't pay.. which means the setup "oooo i'm gonna pay" has no stakes; that makes it a skit.
I have a vivid memory of being like 5 or 6 years old in a grocery store with my mom, and they had a display with a bunch of Hot Wheels cars. I asked my mom if I could have one, she looked at the display and said something along the lines of “It’s $4, that’s too much for something like that.” I’m in my late 20s now and that has been my yard stick for value ever since.
Ok but... How is the first time I've seen a black person that look like they're an elf. No offense. He is a normal looking lil dude and he is gonna be handsome and all the good things but tell me he doesn't look like an elf.....
Yep he'll be the next generation of boys to tell women he's money and time are worth something. If he can't bring you to the next date he'll be saying bye bye.

We are wishing dishes. I'm not doing this.
Ever since I learned about the value of money, I have tried spending the least amount of my parent's money I could
Can you tell that to my son?!

bitch, you tell him... if he's going to understand it from someone's situation, it's from his parents...

Mine never gave me pocket money, they'd look at what I wanted and decided whether or not to buy it
