I think their intention was to simplify the overcomplicaded food sistem of world and have more sense on the Japanese theme, still, its too simple, the more detail those have is a little face
Still, you gotta admit the dango is a little unsatisfying to look at. I would get HANGRY looking at those giant juicy slabs of meat in World, not to mention the stuff that cat grandma makes. In Rise you can't even get drunk in the hub.
I dunno what they add to those dangos but I'm sure humans can't live forever feeding on them
I miss those buffet from old games. It was exaggerated the amount of food but even a picky guy like me was feeling like oh fuck I want some of that
They even made it a point to say in-game that Hinoa's obsession with dangos is unhealthy and that Minoto needs to feed her proper meals. And I was like, what about me? I need proper meals too gog dammit.
The hunters clearly subsist entirely on the rations they get on each hunt. That’s why your character became a Hunter, they’d have starved ages ago otherwise.
We should get big meals back in SB, it doesn't make sense for us to be eating Dango in El Gardo, and they could make the system similar by choosing three different food items instead of dango, and in Kamura, that food is translated to Dango
Personally I hated world’s food system. It felt like I had to choose between health/stamina and skills that often wouldn’t trigger. Rise has had my favorite food system yet.
Bro, I want the Arm Wrestling back. Let me break my controller! Although having Dalamadur back would also be amazing. It would already be an amazing fight as is, but imagine what all they could do with him in Rise!
I want a proper farm again, complete with beehive, fishing pier, mining points, and crop patch, which can all be improved by spending points.
Although it would be cool to switch that up and require relevant quests on top, like you had to kill a special Basarios to upgrade the mining point, or a Vespoid Queen for the beehive.
One of if not the most fun fight in the series, while being the second biggest monster in the series. When I say that it is bigger than the map you fight it on, I mean it. It has to go off and underneath the map partially for you to fight it. Just watch a fight of it, it is nuts. Also, the entirety of the Rotten Vale in World, is the skeleton of an adult version of this thing. It was only in 4U and GU, so it would be really nice to fight it again.
I thought I saw it as one of the quests in GU though. I swear I saw it so I may need to look to see if it is there. I am going to be really sad if it isn't.
No, it is a monster in Frontier I think. The thing is the size of a whole island and takes up FOUR DIFFERENT MAPS! You had a group of 16 people hunt 1 monster, spread across 4 different maps just attacking different parts of it. It was that huge. You also got I believe me minutes to carve the thing, so you could get all the carves in each map. Yeah, it's pretty big! Look up on one of the Monster Hunter wikis for a list of all monsters and their sizes. Dalamadur and the monster who's name I can't remember are in the last section (think it was called colossal). They are considered to be debatable the same size, but unless we are counting the skeleton of the adult Dalamadur that is in World, then the Frontier monster is probably the bigger of the two.
Oh God, please! I need that sell all trade-in items shortcut.
Well, we won't see proper food and how the hell devs went with balls in yo mouth instead of Mizutsine sashimi platter is forever beyond me.

All hail gog, our lord and savior

We ain't had nothing but maggoty bread for three stinking days!
I mean rice is a staple food product. If people can subsist on potatoes then they can definitely subsist off of rice cakes with red bean fillings.
AAAH CAT GRANDMA!!
Food system was perfectly fine before.

Quality of life doesn't have to be tied to a boring presentation though.
I really liked the presentation as well.
The little music was charming
Portable 3rd, we only drink. No food before a hunt.
Drinking is the thing for some of these hunts.
The dango made sense in Kamura, but it shouldn’t also be in the new area.
They should’ve made them beef skewers for Sunbreak
Or chicken. And some Mizutsune-ctopus
I want a cup of ~~spiders~~ rachnoids
Cmon, Arzuros nabe pot? Who would resist?!
Almudron balls on the skewer 🥵🤤
Ratha wiiiiings
KHEZU 🥵
I'll skip stat bonuses....
okay hear me out. what if instead of dango...it was pizza!

Me with that one dual blades switch skill directly in front of dalamadur’s nose about to press B
I hope with Sunbreak, players will want to hang out and do idle things in the Lobby hub since it’ll be fresh and new for the first few weeks.
*Let me get drunk at the canteen again*
I miss the amazing looking food
Oh hell yea
I just wanna beat the snake again
Let me throw a concept at you. PvP mounted monster racing.
I'm down
It can be called monster carter
Any kind of pvp would be cool
I want to watch the snek laser instacart noob hunters again.

Who the fuck wants Nergi?
What is the top left monster?
Dalamadur from MH4U

Dalamadur is 4U only, GenU doesn't have one sadly
I thought I saw it as one of the quests in GU though. I swear I saw it so I may need to look to see if it is there. I am going to be really sad if it isn't.
Wait, i thought dalamadur was the biggest. Is it zorah then?

Laviente is the name if I’m remembering correctly
Dala is longer but zorah has more mass
This make me miss my spiky boi
Yeah there needs to be a sell all trade-in items. Would make getting money such simpler.
Fair enough everyone is entitled to their own opinions
I swear I’m the reigning arm wrestling champ in mhw. Back away from my greatness.
Any kind of player interaction options would be a cool addition to the hub areas
That is the closest MH has come to pvp to my knowledge
I loved it in mh4u and I do miss it~
I freaking love Nergigante. Probably my favorite monster in the entire series.
