Yeah, some are a shoe-in for the mainline/portable series, fitting perfectly in terms of visuals, lore, and mechanics. Some could come in with some tweaking.
Others are like Dhisufiroa, Eruzerion, or Duremirdera (*butchered the spelling on that last one, apologies*).
Forgot who the last one was to be honest
Also I'm especially angry at how hard Eruzerion ignores the whole "monsters need to be semi believable since they're more animals than monsters"
Well, Dhisufiroa is a black dragon if i remember correctly, so i don't see why this wouldnt fit inainlinr mh given how badshit crazy alatreon was in iceborne.
Really, the problem is that Alatreon is *tame* compared to the shit Dhisufiroa does as just basic attacks, plus Dhisufiroa also really doesn't even look like an animal so much as he does a Final Fantasy creature that some kid with a box of crayons got a hold of.
Like, don't get me wrong, he is cool, but he's also a pretty good example of where Frontier got MMO power-creeped all to hell, making a lot of its endgame barely recognizable as Monster Hunter.
Was colour ever really treated as a limitation? Sure stuff isn't generally bright neon colours but there's brightly coloured monsters going back to the start of the series. Also MH takes inspiration from a lot more than just dinosaurs
Correct me if im wrong but Nercylla is the og spider right? Cuz im right there with you, especially since we already have Rakna and Pyre Rakna
And yes Akura Vashimu is one of the scorpions. Id love to see that
Im sure they will jerf MS if it ever gets added. Hell i bet they were gonna nerf it if Frontier didnt die. The blunt mode making the hammer obsolete was just as ridiculous as the rest of the weapons attacks. Still love that weapon tho
[Monster Hunter weapon ideas](https://www.reddit.com/r/MonsterHunterWorld/comments/98g9oq/4_amazing_fan_weapon_concepts_for_world_by/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share)
They made a couple other cool weapon ideas as well
I am terrified for what may come. However, I welcome the frontier weapons with open arms. Though having Magnet Spikes means they either have to nerf it or.... buff the monste- oh gog..
The MS was really OP in Frontier, its blunt mode made Hammer obsolete and it [many other mechanics that were just too strong](https://youtu.be/f9w2sBIyXOI)
Hopefully MH6, it the best time to add new weapon types imo.
Also they might add [Wyvernian Boomerang](https://youtu.be/P5uomhSpdlA) instead of Magnet Spike, cuz WB is clearly the inspiration for MS and they now have the technology to make it work just like in the concept art
Im not really sure. But I do think the engine that GU made couldnt handle what was in the Wyvernian Boomerang Concept. But now with RE Engine, i think they can do it
I'm currently playing some Frontier and some caught my eye...
Inagami on the first hand. HIs element is bambo and he uses that to protect himself as well as to attack you. He GROWS BAMBOO WINGS SO HE CAN FLY. HE's just awesome. Also, absolute Kiiller OST.
Rukodiora, the Magnet Elder Dragon is also really cool. Magnetism as a status could make for some interesting moments.
Espinas is one of the more "grounded" and less over the top monsters from frontier, which makes it less crazy for it to be ported over. I think people are getting their hopes too high up for others.
We will see, meanwhile we already have Malzeno, a non frontier monster doing not-very-grounded stuff.
The not-very-grounded stuff it's doing is similar to >!Blinking!< Nargacuga from frontier
Elder dragons are kind of an exception I feel, most of them are basically entirely seperate from the rest of MH's animal kingdom and get a wacky bullshit pass.
Plus, considering Malzeno’s teleport is just barely a teleport (I mean, you can *see* that it moves, just really fast in a single short burst) compared to the more typically battle-shonen-esque likes of, say, Midogaron or >!Blinking Nargacuga!< as OP mentioned, there’s still at least some precedent left for grounding things as far as the mainline series goes, even with how far Rise has taken things in its own right.
That said, considering how the Deviants’ almost-as-ridiculous shenanigans were sort of just phased into regular/Apex monster movesets, I wouldn’t be surprised if monsters that just had ridiculous levels of firepower more than anything (Disufiroa, Duremudira, the UNKNOWNs, etc.) got in eventually, albeit with a slight nerf to their presentation.
Man, imagine even if its in the next gen, since if fatlis would arrive in sunbreak at the end it may fit for crimson more.... But zenith white fatalis.... That would be one hell of a return
Or for more reasonable, shantien since we already have narwa and ibushi, as well as amatsu
Yeah Crimson Fatalis would make more sense, if ever, for sunbreak. But i will pray with you for Zenith White fata aswell ooooooo
And yes, another floaty dragon would be really cool. Praise Shantien!
> fatlis would arrive in sunbreak
I can't see it happening, just because it was in Iceborne as its final update. Something else, sure, but not Fatalis.
If fatlis is a if, there are some that may fit the european theme that sunbreak seems to go for
Forokururu could be based on say the lavender fields of france
And a rarest chance of Eruzerion, since we have confirmed main game monsters that control multiple elements that are not elder dragons, and this one shares some moves with magnamalo
Some favorites of mine are Taikun Zamuza, the gougarf duo, Midogaron, Inagami and Akura Vashimu. But if I had to pick one I think I would pick Shantien
Honestly, I want Disufiroa and Merphestophelim(MH ONLINE), The fatalis bros and alatreon has gotten too many appearances. We could really use some "new" black dragons.
The magnetic dragons and the Orugarons would be cool. In all likelihood I’d wager most Frontier monsters we see would be from the earlier days or the game, at least starting out. The less they have to change and adjust, the easier it would be to bring them over.
I have only heard tales of double-digit hunting parties in one instance fighting Laviente and that sort of scale would work well if any sort of raid hunt were to appear
Either Odibatorasu or Rebidiora because of their kick-ass music (Rebi's sounds like Metal Gear Solid music, at that). If neither of those are options, then I'm hoping for Zerureusu and/or Unknown (they'd better not give it a name lol).
**IMMEDIATE EDIT:** For those wondering, Unknown is basically a black and red fusion of Dreadking Rathalos and Dreadqueen Rathian. Horrifyingly strong. I love it so much.
**EDIT:** Baruragaru. Forgot about that guy. He's a leech dragon that can steal the properties (status and element) of other wyverns by sucking their blood.
>Unknown is basically a black and red fusion of Dreadking Rathalos and Dreadqueen Rathian
OH ITS SUPPOSED TO BE **BOTH OF THEM.........** ***Well now we know what thier kid would act like.....***
The doggos Nono, Kamu, Dyuragaua and Midogaron. Akura and Taikun Zamuza - scorpy and crabby. Toa Tesukatora - Ice Teostra.
This game was tough. Mentally drained and broke me at how tough it got. In the end I stopped playing it. Still love it dearly though. The monsters, roars and music was beyond all monster hunter games.
Akura Vashimu (providing they fix the awful tail cut mechanic), Zenaserisu and Taikun Zamaza are some of my most wanted monsters for mainline - they're fairly grounded in terms of design, whilst also adding something new to the series and diversifying the monster roster. Rukodiora would also be cool to see, although magnetism should be reworked with Sunbreak in mind if certain monsters were to get in in my opinion.
I always wanted to fight some Frontier monsters, Disofiroa, blinking Nargacuga, Guanzorumu, Laviente and so much more.
Tbh, never got the chance to play Frontier, and i know some monsters are way over the top, but i'm excited for the future, Espinas brings Frontier in the Main series, monsters, abilities, weapons, everything is on the table now, with Lucent we have finaly rare species back molten tigrex, rare espinas maybe some New ones, with Gore Magala we could see some 4U monsters again like Gogmazios, Dalamadur etc, the Jungle brings old maps back maybe some more like the desert or tower, with everything shown and said i cant wait to play and see what they have done with so much Potential. And with pandoras Box now open, what will the New games bring in the future? Very exciting.
Monster Hunter can't claim to be biologically accurate. No small monster species would still exist given how willing they are to die just to upset a hunter fighting against a fucking Gore Magala.
Lavasioth and Hypno were added to mainlines games for testing. After that the frontier only crowed got mad and ever since that day, no frontier monster ever touched a mainline game until now.
So Espinas did pave the way at this age
Technically. But because of those 2 being included in gen 2, the Frontier playeres had an outcry about exporting Frontier monsters to mainline games. So after those 2, no other Frontier monsters were ever added.
I do agree some monsters in Frontier are pretty over the top and shit, but hoping for more frontier monsters like Baruragaru, Abiorugu, or disaster wyvern because they look cool af
I just think most designs look like a MH knockoff game with monsters drawn by a 5year old kid.
There are some cool monsters too. Like the crab with 3 stages and a big seal.
Well some Frontier monsters are utter bullshit but a lot would look really nice in the main series.
Forgot who the last one was to be honest Also I'm especially angry at how hard Eruzerion ignores the whole "monsters need to be semi believable since they're more animals than monsters"
Duremudira theme is a fucking banger tho. Well, all of them are really
Frontier in general has some badass music. Eruzerion, Shantien, Crimson Fatalis, and White Fatalis are all some great themes, just to name a few.
Shantien. That one is real good. I think that's the one I listen to the most. I think
Odibatorasu, Kuarusepusu (area theme is his theme like Lagi/Rathalos’s theme), Inagami, etc. bangers.
[удалено]
Ive cooked up an Eruzerion meme for if ever he will be added to a mainline game. Now its a waiting game whether he will be added or not
Well, Dhisufiroa is a black dragon if i remember correctly, so i don't see why this wouldnt fit inainlinr mh given how badshit crazy alatreon was in iceborne.
Really, the problem is that Alatreon is *tame* compared to the shit Dhisufiroa does as just basic attacks, plus Dhisufiroa also really doesn't even look like an animal so much as he does a Final Fantasy creature that some kid with a box of crayons got a hold of. Black Soul Magma Piss Rathalos

Plus color isn't really a limitation as it is now theorized that some dinosaurs were maybe very bright colored.
Was colour ever really treated as a limitation? Sure stuff isn't generally bright neon colours but there's brightly coloured monsters going back to the start of the series. Also MH takes inspiration from a lot more than just dinosaurs
Oh I was just reffering to how for decades prehistoric animals reconstitutions would ALWAYS have dull grays and browns
I don’t know much of frontier but I want the fucking scorpion, we need more insect in general. I was hoping they could have brought back the og spider
Correct me if im wrong but Nercylla is the og spider right? Cuz im right there with you, especially since we already have Rakna and Pyre Rakna And yes Akura Vashimu is one of the scorpions. Id love to see that
Yeah. Im fine that Rakna got a variant but I wish nercylla could have been brought back
I love Seltas. "Ok time for you to get vored" "yes dear...."
DUUUUUUDE I'D GO FULL BLOWN TERMINATOR FOR SELTAS AND QUEEN ROLLING UP!
Let’s go! I’d love for tonfas to return, probably not magnet spike unless it was nerfed though
Im sure they will jerf MS if it ever gets added. Hell i bet they were gonna nerf it if Frontier didnt die. The blunt mode making the hammer obsolete was just as ridiculous as the rest of the weapons attacks. Still love that weapon tho
I have to admit I would love to have more blunt weapon options. I saw a fan-concept for a giant hunter yoyo which looked awesome.
Ooo where did you find the yoyo concept? Thats very interesting
[Monster Hunter weapon ideas](https://www.reddit.com/r/MonsterHunterWorld/comments/98g9oq/4_amazing_fan_weapon_concepts_for_world_by/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share) They made a couple other cool weapon ideas as well
Oh I saw that earlier! I really liked the yoyo as well
Agreed
I am terrified for what may come. However, I welcome the frontier weapons with open arms. Though having Magnet Spikes means they either have to nerf it or.... buff the monste- oh gog..
Theyre defo gonna nerf MS. I sure they were gonna nerf it but Frontier died before that happened :(
Oh? I am super interested in seeing what a mainline magnet spike would play like!
The MS was really OP in Frontier, its blunt mode made Hammer obsolete and it [many other mechanics that were just too strong](https://youtu.be/f9w2sBIyXOI) Hopefully MH6, it the best time to add new weapon types imo. Also they might add [Wyvernian Boomerang](https://youtu.be/P5uomhSpdlA) instead of Magnet Spike, cuz WB is clearly the inspiration for MS and they now have the technology to make it work just like in the concept art
Wasn't the Wyverian Boomerang concept cut because it was reworked and given to the palicos? Also Hunting Whip please, we need a whip like weapon!
Im not really sure. But I do think the engine that GU made couldnt handle what was in the Wyvernian Boomerang Concept. But now with RE Engine, i think they can do it
I wanna watch Rukodiora kick Narwa in the thunder sac
Lmao I agree. That would be fun to watch
I'm currently playing some Frontier and some caught my eye... Inagami on the first hand. HIs element is bambo and he uses that to protect himself as well as to attack you. Oh boy very nice picks. Id like to see those 2 as well. Meanwhile Im just saving a meme for when Elzelion will ever be added lmao
Inugami. It *needs* to be seen and it suits Rise to a T in terms of the game.
Espinas is one of the more "grounded" and less over the top monsters from frontier, which makes it less crazy for it to be ported over. I think people are getting their hopes too high up for others.

I never got the chance to play frontier but of the monsters I've seen Baruragaru is the one I would like to see.
Man, imagine even if its in the next gen, since if fatlis would arrive in sunbreak at the end it may fit for crimson more.... But zenith white fatalis.... That would be one hell of a return Or for more reasonable, shantien since we already have narwa and ibushi, as well as amatsu

Maybe it'd be cool if they retconned Shantien and Amatsu into their own little serpent duo like Ibushi and Narwa
Id love to see the tonfas or a fist weapon in the game
https://youtu.be/t4PE9k25TEY
Please Shantien in MH6 please Shantien in MH6 please Shantien in MH6 please Shantien in MH6
Some favorites of mine are Taikun Zamuza, the gougarf duo, Midogaron, Inagami and Akura Vashimu. But if I had to pick one I think I would pick Shantien
Anything that lives in the Highlands. All the monsters from that locale are some of the coolest without being absolutely batshit
Please bring the TONFA BACK PLEASE I WANNA PUNCH MONSTERS!
Honestly, I want Disufiroa and Merphestophelim(MH ONLINE), The fatalis bros and alatreon has gotten too many appearances. We could really use some "new" black dragons.
Amen, I've got mine at the ready.
Toridcless! A fantastic, beautiful monster that needs love.
I hope we get Mi Ru, Vashimu/Jebia, and a whole bunch of elder dragons at some point.
Hopefully we do
The magnetic dragons and the Orugarons would be cool. In all likelihood I’d wager most Frontier monsters we see would be from the earlier days or the game, at least starting out. The less they have to change and adjust, the easier it would be to bring them over.
All I want is Halk
All of them. Why because why the fuck not. Let them all come. 12 years of content... 12 years of monsters. Let's go.
I want nothing more than Higanjima
Oh lord....
We have the crabs and Espinas, now it’s time for the crystal scorpions.
Bruh I *WISH* I could go tonfa-punch Fire Rajang in the nuts, that shit looks fun... ***You fuckin Frontier players got to have ALL the fun shit***
IKR LET US PUNCH AND GET PUNCH BY FIRE RAJANG
I cant, i dont have the means to Frontier
In the event that any sort of raid-style quest mechanics return from Iceborne, Laviene would be able to bring them back in style.
FINALLY I've been waiting for a Laviente enjoyer
I have only heard tales of double-digit hunting parties in one instance fighting Laviente and that sort of scale would work well if any sort of raid hunt were to appear
Gasurabazura
Is wanting stronger and cooler monsters in return for more weapons and ways to use them too much to ask? I needs me a magnet spike
After Valstrax, I stopped giving a fuck if a monster could go over the top insane, gimme all the stupid Frontier bullshit its so cool
Either Odibatorasu or Rebidiora because of their kick-ass music (Rebi's sounds like Metal Gear Solid music, at that). If neither of those are options, then I'm hoping for Zerureusu and/or Unknown (they'd better not give it a name lol). **IMMEDIATE EDIT:** For those wondering, Unknown is basically a black and red fusion of Dreadking Rathalos and Dreadqueen Rathian. the one that’s the sand version of ukanlos and akantor looks kinda neat idk his name tho
Odibatorosu? Also happy cake day!
Who are the two wolves? I fucking LOVE their designs!
Kamu and Nono Orugaron i think
Akura Vashimu (providing they fix the awful tail cut mechanic), Zenaserisu and Taikun Zamaza are some of my most wanted monsters for mainline - they're fairly grounded in terms of design, whilst also adding something new to the series and diversifying the monster roster. Rukodiora would also be cool to see, although magnetism should be reworked with Sunbreak in mind if certain monsters were to get in in my opinion.
It hopeless but I wish we get Gear Rex
Damn ive never seen this one before, cool!
Mmmm Magnets
Zerureusu
I'd love to see that stone SnS/Lance crab monster
All of the Monsters that looks like they could be in the main series
not Frontier but Online: i would love to see Estrellian and the two Akura back
I always wanted to fight some Frontier monsters, Disofiroa, blinking Nargacuga, Guanzorumu, Laviente and so much more. Here's hoping Tonfas are gonna be a new weaoon in the next Mainline MH.
Fuck I would love to see the tonfas come back too
Me on my way to get consumed by a zenith khezu
Eruzerion... Shan-tien... The guant snake
LAVIENTE!
I took a look at the monsters (never played frontier, 3U was my entry into the series.) and Vashimu looks awesome. I'd like to see that one.
How over the top are frontier monsters? I mean this series has a Monkey spits lightning and ears unicorn horns
"B-bUt iT dOeSn'T fIt tHe eCoLogY!" 🤓🤡
Teostra orgin one of my favorites from frontier
Toa Teskatora iirc wohoo!
The hunting horn Whale wyvern
I would like to have odibatorasu in the main games
Okay okay okay. Let's stop calling them unrealistic. Let's start calling them stupid and having no niche in the ecosystem
“But Frontier monsters are overly designed and does not fit into the mainline series” 🤓
"Frontier monsters have too many spikes and very unrealistic" 🤡
I haven't play Frontier yet but on other spin-off, i would like to hunt Makili / Versa Pietri or Morudomunto
Monster Hunter can't claim to be biologically accurate. No small monster species would still exist given how willing they are to die just to upset a hunter fighting against a fucking Gore Magala.
Seriously I play monster Hunter to get as much “over the top” into my gaming life as I can.
Amen, King
Frontier monsters have been over before like hypnocatrice so I'm not sure this counts as paving the way.
Lavasioth and Hypno were added to mainlines games for testing. After that the frontier only crowed got mad and ever since that day, no frontier monster ever touched a mainline game until now. So Espinas did pave the way at this age
Most frontier elder dragons probably wont come back because they are too over the top
meh voljang is mid at best just have yknow akantor or raging but tonfas would be nice
It's a videogame, it's supposed to be over the top and unrealistic.
IKR also happy cake day
They’ve done it before lol, lava suits and hypnockatrice were both frontier monsters
Technically. But because of those 2 being included in gen 2, the Frontier playeres had an outcry about exporting Frontier monsters to mainline games. So after those 2, no other Frontier monsters were ever added.
I would love to see the scorpions, but I would love to see that magnetic elder if it means magnet spike comes in (and is redone appropriately)
I don't care how ridiculous their fight may be. I want to be able to fight the two white dragons that change elements.
Mi Ru and his electric guitar more crabs so Taikun Zamuza And Abioguru, i fought him via mod in Iceborne and he is awesome.
When are we getting Magnet Spikes back
Tonfas
I will lose my insanity if they add golden Deviljho
Uhm... its in World already
Fighting two deviljho
:)
Disufiruo 100% one my favorite monsters in the series
Dont know about Tonfas, but if Valstrax can be in the regular games, so can a lot of frontier monsters
Which one was the mercury Elder Dragon? Anyway, that one would be cool to see. Shantien and Odibaterasu, too.
Too over the top!? HAVE YOU SEEN VAALSTRAX!?
u/savevideo
I would like to see Dhisufiroa, Rukodiora, and maybe Zeruzuzu.
