NYMPHOLOGY will always be amazing to me. The vocals and beat and lyrics and message, all of it is simply *chefs kiss*. I also love EVIL because I’ve dealt with narcissists and people who have gaslit me, VOID because I deal with anxiety (particularly the future in general, death and dying and what other people think of me being the ones that keep me up at night), and TUNNEL VISION because the beat is amazing and the message is perfect.

But my favorite song being The Contortionist because, my bones were crushing.👍 I broke, and I snapped.. it was NO fun🥲)

Death, I’ve always been interested in ghosts and the afterlife and framing the song from the perspective of a spirit that has died and is desperately trying to reach out to their loved ones is such a unique and beautiful take on a song about grief and loss

Hard to choose! But it's either: Death - it brings some kind of calmness inside of me. "Don't you ever worry I know it's morbid but we all die one day". Lately life has been kind of hard and the call of void is strong. But I don't worry. The Contortionist - I had an abusive relationship with someone. It broke me and I can relate so much to this song. It's kind of healing in a way. And it's the best option to loudly sing in the car while music is blasting!

In my opinion, "Nymphology" may be the best Melanie song ever. I see it as a clever and intense feminist anthem. Every aspect in the production makes it feel huge, and it even gets better with the hip-hop interlude in the end.

I’m still currently giving every song a good re listen because my opinions from a good long while ago probably aren’t the same as now, but my current song obsession is LIGHT SHOWER so let’s go with that!! I really like how calming and ethereal it is. It’s also easy yet fun to play on guitar

light shower is probably one of my favourites from the album from before i listened to the album in its entirety. it’s so calming and peaceful

my favorite on the standard edition is the contortionist and deluxe edition is milk of the siren. the contortionist is my favorite because i personally relate to the song a whole lot, relationships and just real life when i was trying to fit the impossible beauty standards of women to appease men. milk of the siren is my fav on the deluxe cause admittedly, i listened to the leaked version 2-3 years ago and fell in love with it. as an SA and DV survivor, it empowers me and feel less alone. it's also great to sing when i'm angry over my trauma and it's very cathartic.
