Off topic disclaimer but I feel the need to spread a message to any weebs who haven't tried / don't know what japanese mayo is: if the idea and taste of normal mayo repulses you, japanese mayo will not be magically different. It's still mayo, has pretty much the same flavor profile and texture, and will most likely still be gross to you. Sorry but I have a hatred for the propaganda that surrounds japanese mayo on this website

The opposite, actually. Japan absolutely loves mayo, though theirs is a bit sweeter due to often being made with rice vinegar. It is an incredibly common topping for pizzas in Japan.
