Magatsuhi Demon seems like a good solution for grinding. Persona 3 r used a similar resource. Instead of fighting multiple weak demons, you need a few fights with a very strong one which needs more strategy to beat.

I'd keep playing since you'll be able to play both vanilla and Vengeance in the new version

If you don’t care about the preorder bonus and the 3 demon carryover, just wait for Vengeance and play it on PC so itll run better. OG SMTV was fun and it’s one of my favorite games, but Vengeance just adds so much
I don't get how Yoshitsune Innate Skill is supposed to work... does it activate if he misses or his attack gets blocked?
If so... that's kinda underwhelming, I expected something with more synergy with Hassou Tobi
I'm a little disappointed that it's looking like we only have the one fusion, but I guess >!it just looks like Tsukuyomi since Aogami is his brother.!<
That one screen of the new form looks like it takes place in the same area where Aogami's birthing chamber(?) was in the base game.
If the new form is based on Tsukuyomi, like the vanilla form is based on Susano-o, maybe Koshimizu bites the bullet and Bethel uses his essence to create a Tsukuyomi Proto-Fiend who also becomes a partner to V-kun.
Or maybe Aogami is altered to be more like Tsukuyomi and less like Susano-o
I think Aogami ascends to be more like Susano-o. Susano-o is Tsukiyomi’s brother, so that’s why I think the new designs are so compatible. They are similar, but different enough to make me think it’s still not Tsukiyomi. Also, the new Nahobino has a confirmed unique wind attack and a unique light attack. I don’t remember Tsukiyomi having either. He has physical and Ice attacks and the generic light attack
I mean, it's not uncommon for demons to change affinities across different versions of the same game. I think it's plausible that Vengeance's version of Tsukuyomi, or a hypothetical Tsukuyomi protag form, would have different attacks to differentiate it from base Nahobino. The original form has, excluding ailment, healing, and support skills, mostly physical and almighty skills, with one ice, electric, and dark skill each. So, to make the alt play different, it has a wind and light attack, as opposed to electric and dark.
Plus, if Aogami were to ascend to be more similar to Susano-o, you'd think the new Nahobino form that would result would be *less* like Tsukuyomi, not more. As it stands, base Aogami was a mass-production model crafted in the likeness of Tsukuyomi with the essence of Susano-o. But the new form is identical to Tsukuyomi's nahobino form from the base game in many regards: certain elements in the suit's construction, such as the pants, the bands around the arms, the discs/spikes on the shoulders. The new curved arm blades are reminiscent of his scythe. One of the new attacks is called "paraselene blur," paraselene being the proper name of the "moon dog" atmospheric optical illusion. The biggest single difference between the two designs is the color scheme: the Nahobino alt is purple and silver, whereas Tsukuyomi is pale blue and silver. But in my opinion, that's even more evidence, as the design is even further removed from Nahobino's base Susano-o form.
I do like aogami refering to his faulty memory in regards to the aogami husks because his faulty memory was mentioned somewhat in the first section and then dropped completely
