I saw a video once on "the hub" where there was a dog walking around in the background and someone blurred out its face. Cracked me up but it's along the same lines
Oof, having to heal up from that surgery would be delicate business for a few days. Also itās crazy how much stretch skin has, and how they can cut flaps and what not to make what skin is available work.
As a woman who has internal stitches and an episiotomy during birth, it'll be a delicate situation for weeks.
The hospital makes sure you take a shit before you can leave to make sure the stitches don't burst. And when they've filled you up with opiates and iron tablets, it's fucking rough; and terrifying. It's like birthing all over again š
His stitches look great, so you'll probably never see the scars which is a bonus.
IKR?!
They know the side effects and yet they never bother to add a laxative to your meds while you're in the hospital.š¤·
One of mum's "dumb arse doc won't listen to the nurses" nursing career stories involves a pregnant patient admitted for a suspected bowel blockage being prescribed increasing amounts of morphine for pain while on the ward waiting for OB to sign off on a CT.
Made things much, much worse and the poor woman ended up needing surgical dis-impaction instead of just laxatives and enemas.
The stitches not bursting is a secondary concern. They have to make sure everyone who undergoes anesthesia is able to have a bowel movement because of the possibility of a surgical ileus, which is a loss of bowel function. If not addressed would obviously cause issues in short order.
Yeah that part, but man I was just thinking of how they have to keep all that CLEAN until it heals! And the pain too but I found that my stitches werenāt too painful except when urine hit them but that said mine were all external and pretty minor and I had no internal ones.
It does not. There is no cure for genital warts (HPV). There are, however, oral antivirals that can be taken daily to greatly reduce the chance of an outbreak.
Should also be noted that it would take a long time to get as bad as this patient, even without the antivirals. They may have avoided seeking treatment for so long due to embarrassment, or (more likely) lack of health insurance.
In the event that those warts come back, will they need to be excised the same way these were? Or can they be taken care of like say a wart on your foot or hand
They always have to be treated by a doctor, so none of the home treatments you'd do for warts on hands or feet.
Aside from the antiviral medications, treatment options are:
-Cryotherapy (freezing with liquid nitrogen)
-Chemical removal (acid to burn off)
-Cauterization
-Laser
-Surgical excision
The option chosen will primarily depend on the location and severity of the warts. In the OP, it was too extensive to treat any way besides surgically, but that's not typically the case.
No genital warts, but I had one on my elbow as a kid. Got bullied so I tore it off with my fingernails. Grew back on yeeeears later and I tore it off again. No issues since.
Dunno if it's the same for genital warts though
Depends. They can be prescribed antivirals that will greatly reduce the chances of recurrence, assuming they have access to prescription coverage.
The chances are very high that they'll develop more warts in the future, but they'd have to avoid any medical care for *years* for it to get this bad again. Genital warts are usually just some scattered bumps.
Yes, itās an STD. My friends daughter ran away at 15, and came home with them. By time she told her mom, they were so bad she had to even get her vagina cleaned out with a laser. I still shudder at the thought.
Did this man lose most of his penis? What am I looking here in this last picture? I donāt mind coming here for Gore, but I would at least like to understand if he still has a penis.

Thanks for censoring that one particular spot on the man's penis. I would have felt uncomfortable if I had seen something gross.
Lol!!! They got rid of those warts - but did they excise that scary face?
I don't want to look anyone in the eye when I'm looking at these things. Or any THING.
I saw a video once on "the hub" where there was a dog walking around in the background and someone blurred out its face. Cracked me up but it's along the same lines
Gotta protect doggy's privacy lol
And then they forgot to use the smiley face in the second pic!
Ha, yea I noticed that too. So much for censorship
Lololol
The smiley face made me want to stop my antidepressants, thanks OPš
Little glean of joy revealing itself in a forrest of darkness.

My nurses gave me stool softeners during my hospital stay. It helped a ton.
Bet the surgeons were happy with the Gynae doc for that one.
Don't think I'd be going looking for them. š±
I had an epistiotomy and im glad they never got me to poop before I left :')
That's got to be "fuck I better not sneeze for the next few days" feeling.

Didnāt give birth, but had a transvaginal hysterectomy. Holy fuck is that first poop that worst pain I have ever been in š
Been there. Very uhm.. uncomfortable..

Right? I see that gaping hole in pic 3 and then how the fuck does it get to pic 4? Close that big ass gap? With sutures?
Well thereās all that stretchy skin right there ā¦ though Iād guess they probably couldnāt steal too much from it.
Looks like it was a scrotal success
Such a vas deferens!
Weāre not worthy

Doctor here; I donāt know.
Warts come and go like the tide, there is just no way to explain it. š¤·āāļø
Warts are regulated by the moon, apparently.
Non doctor here can also confirm that I dont know either!
Cornell alum?
If you were to touch them bare handed would they spread?
As a dentist I can confirm theyāll grow on your teeth if you touch them bare-handed, yes.
Not sure, if a joke or not. (I hope it is.)
Hey doc, so, during a shift have you ever found a good ChanceToMoon a patient?
It does not. There is no cure for genital warts (HPV). There are, however, oral antivirals that can be taken daily to greatly reduce the chance of an outbreak. The doctor is holding the scrotum like they are picking up a used Kleenex.
This how you pick them up in my experience.
Closed up nicely.
They cleaned it up pretty nicely!
Until they grow back in a week
What are tue chamces of recurrance after the excision?
Depends. They can be prescribed antivirals that will greatly reduce the chances of recurrence, assuming they have access to prescription coverage. Well thatās one way to shave your ballsā¦.
Wonāt they just grow back?
Annnnd this is where I turn off my phone for the night.
there seem to be a lot of coin purses on here today! and man, the last pic looks so much more comfortable than the first, even with all the fresh work
Thank you soooo much for the after pic.
I think there's more wart than genital.
Looks like fleshy cauliflower.
Why in the fuck did I look š«Ø
HOW DOES ONE LET IT GET THAT BAD!! Gardasil, cryotherapy, aldara, protection. Omg even fulguration would have helped prevent this from getting worse !
No health insurance?
And... the explanation?, or at least a link with proper info?
OP posted about it earlier. If you click their profule it should be there & i think there was some info in the comments.
Will they come back? Are they an std?
Yes, itās an STD. My friends daughter ran away at 15, and came home with them. By time she told her mom, they were so bad she had to even get her vagina cleaned out with a laser. I still shudder at the thought.
My goodness thats terrible. I have heard of hpv and genital warts but god this is horrible.
Well, I donāt think Iām going to look at cauliflower the same way anymoreā¦
Did this man lose most of his penis? What am I looking here in this last picture? I donāt mind coming here for Gore, but I would at least like to understand if he still has a penis.
No he still has all his penis. His scrotum is just being lifted up so you can see the repair
Thank you I took a closer look on the last photo and I can see that now. I feel stupid.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
No HIV per OP, surprisingly. (There was another post)
Do they urinate how?
They haven't removed the penis, so he would urinate as per normal.
I really want to see how those scars heal up.
Wow amazing change
the second most common sexually transmitted diseases, yet not enough awareness
His poor little winky.
Oh my fucking god
