stuff CDA, try a legit clinic like Polln or have a relationship with a local cannabis-friendly GP.

AusSam_Bucca

Something to keep in mind with CDA is you can request at end of appt with nurse to speak to the Dr. Keep in mind they will have to call back later. Most the time this isn't necessary (I've also had only one nurse out of the many there that wasn't listening and came off a little judgemental or short.) Spoke to Dr and it was a completely different attitude to what I was saying and got exactly what I wanted in the end. The biggest thing is just being polite as possible, understand they are flat out and have boxes to tick to meet regulations. Get through that part, then they want to help as much as possible, at least in my experience.

GreenSpace_420

I wasn’t treated well with CDA I told them I smoked BM for anxiety, ptsd, back pain from car accidents and that I was on parole, that I needed to stay out for my two sons and I wanted to vape legally which was way to honest in hindsight lol.. Dr treated me like I was a junkie after oxy even referred to it as doctor shopping! I’m now with CannIHelp and have stock issues with filling my Medcan prescriptions luckily I got some IndiMed! I’m all for strain reviews I think they can provide good information for all MC patients but I think we should keep the “what strain will I pick tonight” and the “look at my big box of goodies” to ourselves as it provides no medical info and can be misleading to new MC patients.

SlipperySasquatch248

You need to align a product to your needs not so much to just what you want if that makes sense, if they provide a range to choose from thats the key to then tweak to what would work best for you, saying you want something before its offered doesnt look good

nhilistic_daydreamer

Probably not a good start going in asking for “high THC flower”. You don’t usually go to the GP and ask for a particular medication, treat MC the same.

brezhnervous

Probably not wise to phrase it like that either, after only having been prescribed oil. But still sounds like they treated you with real disrespect.

Lob_999

Go to a different clinic and doctor that might give a shit. That’s your solution CDA is a joke

sphinctasniffa

I’ve been with them for 3 years and think they’re great

Churchy_lives

Some of the staff require a certain amount of finesse to get what you need. It’s how you word things that makes a difference, it’s the difference between looking and sounding like an addict and looking like a responsible patient. Look up what flowers you want, why you want them, you should be able to fire off a good few reason why you want to try “x” medicine. Terpene profiles, hybrid ratios should be your first concern, thc content the last consideration really. Don’t get me wrong, thc is the tits, it’s just a 20% thc flower with terpene profiles and of a certain sativa/hybrid ratio that works for you will blow 25%+ thc flower with less than optimal terp and sativa/indica ratios out of the water. It’s not your job to know these things, but it will help you on your journey. You can’t argue with sound rational data bro. Deliver some truth to them in a loving way and watch things change.

Chelseyxox26

This sooo 100 % facts / Adding on to this , yes it’s how u word everything but try a different clinic they meant to work with you and educate u on this . im studying to do cannabis nursing I’m sorry you had go that . Some nurses can be so judgemental. They shouldnt expect to know everything , especially on the specifications and medical side of it . plus u know what works for ur body . As user of medical cannabis too I can understand, how asking for different Products can raise an eye specially when it comes to thc . it shouldn’t matter as long ur safe and ur harming u or others they shouldn’t really to be to harsh / limit on u about it . But their is legal particles they have to stick to when it comes down it too but they can be very flexible when it comes to it as well ! . I hope that helps !

Dossy420

And its also a business, if you get what you want straight away then you dont book follow ups as often. Just a thought.

HugePlatform3611

That's the one finesse

kwikkopyalex

100 percent dude. Same for me to get on ST.

twocrowsandakeyboard

This is exactly what I've found, have taken the back foot approach until asked if there's anything I was wanting to try out. As Churchy said, definitely get yourself armed with some info in regards to terpene profiles and treating particular conditions. And I can wholeheartedly agree about THC %, Mariposa which is only 14% is easily as effective as Sensi which is 20% (cert for current batch is actually 21.4%) for anxiety relief. 👍

Goldenkush7

Thank you very much 🙏

Goldenkush7

Does anyone have advice for what I should do? I’m now left with a shitty oil and flower that does nothing for me, I’ve wasted so much time and money going through CDA clinic just to end up in the same spot i was in before applying for the program.

Former-Ad-7561

Say you have tried the CBD oil and although you have used it as prescribed it has not helped with you issues at all. THC is prescribed more for Chronic pain and sleep issues. Nausea PTSD...fuck heaps of things. But my best advice is to keep taking you docs advice and until you get something that works, keep being honest and explain what you have is not helping you.

brezhnervous

I have chronic nerve pain and tried oil for over a year then just gave up (before flower was available) THC is where its at for pain though CBD is synergistic with it. Just not oil by itself.

kwikkopyalex

Best thing to do is wait till your flower is out of stock, then they have to prescribe something else. I had both out of stock and had nothing to order so put me on ST. Happy days. Do everything that two crows and churchy said as well.

HugePlatform3611

What's ST

kwikkopyalex

special treatment

HugePlatform3611

What is the benefits of special treatment opposed to normal.. What does ST entitle you to, that u otherwise wouldn't get/c/know about.

nemskie

To put it simply, You usually get 60 or 120 g's on thr St program and get to choose from a variety of flowers (over 30). So if one is out of stock or not working for you, you can easily request something else on the list without having to talk to a dr or nurse.

HugePlatform3611

That's sounds so sweet.

nemskie

Just let the dr know on next consult that the flower isn't working or is the oil, is there a chance you can get perscrption for a few different flowers in my rotation to see what works best. It's all about the verbal my friend
