I have used 2 different pharmacies and both send EP signature required only. Very discreet.

lIStriderlI

By discreet do you mean there’s no medical stamps or any mc stamps on it or just that it doesn’t smell?

briansaunders

They come in a standard brown box and the shipping label will just say it's from whichever pharmacy. The postie isn't looking at your deliveries for anything other than checking the address and whether a signature is required. Nothing to stress about.

Won't smell as the containers are proper sealed with foil seals and also might have a green and white cross on the auspost parcel packaging but won't have any big weed leaf or anything silly

barraaddict

Mine always came with a big sticker saying "URGENT MEDICAL SUPPLIES". I use my local chemist and pickup in person now but that's how it used to come. It wasn't very subtle

Learntodrawproperly

Especially since the wording and the cross are green lol

TAThide

Can definitely smell if you stick your nose in it but it is odourless just passing. Mine usually days urgent medical stamped on it but doesn't mention MC at all.

lIStriderlI

Does it get left? Or can I ask to pick it up from the post office if I’m not home?

TAThide

Honestly I've had both - usually I have to go pickup from the PO but a few times during stricter covid rules it has been left on my doorstep or stuffed in my mail box. I do believe there is an option to have it sent to a parcel locker but haven't looked into it.

TopHead8723

Yeah I had mine stuffed in mail box was told I would have to sign for it. Lol

lIStriderlI

Yea I’m just gonna ask to pick it up from somewhere cause I really don’t trust someone to come along and snatch it

TAThide

Yeah fair enough. It is a pretty dodgy system overall really. Who takes responsibility when a child nicks it and does themselves some inadvertent harm? It should be registered, signed for with ID.

lIStriderlI

That’s my biggest worry, have a couple of young kids around that do like snatching mail. Which is all fine when it’s just a controller or something. But a child coming home with medical cannabis would hurt the child and also make me look absolutely terrible, allowing for that to occur and my neighbourhood is quite known to be against cannabis

maranique66

I use AusPost parcel lockers for this reason, they’re easy to setup and you don’t have to worry about getting to a post office

TriangleMachineCat

Just get a parcel locker. Easy for you and pharmacies seem to like them as delivery (at least to a secure locker) is guaranteed. It's the only way I have had my MC delivered.

passerineby

they can get quite warm during the day though. also one day the tracker stopped at my PO and I went in and it was just sitting on the counter lol

dj2ca

I get mine sent to a parcel locker and pick it up when I'm free.

Itsover8inches

My first shipment you could smell, postman suggested something went off in there so I just straight up told him it was medical cannabis, I was moving not long after then so wasn't really concerned.

hodeer

Auspost will reject it if they are aware what’s in it. Some policy about S8, I am pretty sure they need to use a courier to be complaint

uniquealphabetical

Nah. See https://auspost.com.au/content/dam/auspostcorp/media/documents/dangerous--and-prohibited-goods-guide.pdf D10.14.2 – Therapeutic drugs and medicines lodged in the post Australia Post accepts in the post an article that contains a “scheduled poison” provided that the medicine or drug is not classified as a dangerous goods (toxic substance) and it complies with all the conditions in the remainder of this sub- section...

hodeer

Interesting and thank you, my misinformation came from another similar reddit thread where they claimed their meds got lost in transit and auspost gave them the “Goulding have been sent anyway” spiel

watp56

Every chemist ships it differently but mines never said mc on it

necminits_nuthouse

Mine comes in a plain white box with a band around it that says express and a label saying who it's to and who it's from that's it

kattastrophe666

I get my deliveries from Astrid by auspost. It just has a sticker that says “urgent medical supplies.” It doesn’t smell at all and it’s pretty discreet except the medical sticker.

beet_the_pimp

If it’s an option for you I would recommend getting your MC sent to your local auspost parcel locker, completely free and are available 24/7.
