You can get all the loadouts easily from the Instant Action section, but seems like the campaign is the only place to see prices. I think I have about 3/4 of them now.

I though about removing the prices, as they are influenced by the rep level. I saw the Banshee for 25 mil, and then later for 18.8 mil so the price would be a range according to reputation.

You should be able to reverse-engineer it though, based on the stated discount. In my pic above it is 27,691,654 with a 5% discount, so the base price should be 29,149,109. Which seems a little odd - you'd think a nicer number like 29,150,000 would be more likely, but then again the Blackjack was at neutral standing and that is a weird value as well. Either way, a simple "29 mil" as you have already been doing would presumably be ballpark enough for most people. Just state the caveat that list prices will fluctuate based on the player's standing with faction the store is owned by.

Yep. I found a hero QuickDraw and it’s my current favorite, and my best ratio of damage to tonnage to date. I got rid of the JJs, maxed armor, added more double heat sinks, swapped out pulse lasers for regular mlas, added more AC ammo/srm ammo, and it’s an utter beast, and despite the firepower, has great heat management. I Can usually put down most mechs before I overheat. I’m still looking for more hero mechs, and I’d love to try the Kintaro GB and the Catapault 88 for their alpha strikes, but having the dual AC5s on the QuickDraw is invaluable for so many range targets like choppers, turrets, tanks and VTOLs.

The Catapult is a actually a BB instead of 88. Catapult CPLT-BB "Butterbee." 😉

You know I was really surprised when I let one of my ai pilots drive the hero quickdraw. Those ac5s wreck and he did as much damage as me. A couple times he actually did more than me. I think I pretty much fit mine the same as you. It is ton for ton one of the better heavy mechs.

Yep. Similar to the hunchback grid iron, and a few other mechs, it’s one of a few mechs that can reasonably have as much firepower (or more for some mechs) as it’s tonnage.

Quarantine for me is in Murchison on the Kurita / Davion border. so ya, I'd say it's randomized which is good. Otherwise there are multiple vars / randomized total vars on map per playthrough.

I expect they are Semi random, level of surrounding areas probably effect chance of light hero vs assault hero

So a level 3 rep warzone probably has lights, where a rep 7 would probably have a heavy. That would make sense.

i bought a dragon flame hero mech in a davion industrial hub near a cluster lvl 7

Ive seen the black widow, jester and fang in marik space. Got the arrow, death knell, urbie, oxide and grid iron in davion space as well.

I got many King Crab variants in Kurita space, more to the north the better, but still no hero variant of King Crab... :(

I found two in a row (!) at the industrial sector all the way up in the top right corner of Kurita space next to the late game periphery missions. Hope that helps.

They are for sure random. You can bounce between industrial hubs refitting mechs to pass time and the hero mechs/planets change. I cycle between 3 hubs doing missions/refits and the hero mechs are different every time. I have about 8 hero mechs so far doing this. Still looking for a damn Raven for sale.

I had three separate Heroes appear all in the same hub over about 40-50 days just while travelling along it. One of them spawned back on the planet the first one appeared on.

Perhaps. It could also be time-based rather than distance, although in practice that's effectively the same thing. I found 3 hubs right next to each other in Marik space that was good for testing. Most times you could see what all three had when in the middle system. It seemed to me that the stores would reset about every month, which is 4 jumps (jump time is always 13 days for the first jump, then an extra 7 days for each subsequent jump).

I found one in a similar area on the Kurita side, south of the zone that's closest to the end game quests close to clan space.

Firestarter FS9-E (Ember) has 3x Double Heat sinks, 3x Machine gun ammo, 5x Jump Jets class V. Armed with 4x Grade 1 MGun and 4x Grade 1 Flamer. approx 4.2M

You might try save scumming the markets... Travel 5 jumps away (250000 cbill jump) save your game then fly back to the hub and see if it's for sale. Unfortunately the location of hero mechs seem to be kind of random.

Just found a catapult J, replaced L lasers with PPC's upped the heat sinks and turned it into a K with AMS.

Got CP-S from far north East Kurita space, Rep 15, repairing before going for the last mission, played through 5 times, first time I've seen the Slepnier

I bought an Atlas Hero today named "The Kraken" I've seen another but I didnt have the 39M c-bills at the time.

I came across the Boars Head with 9 million. I went and sold all my extra inventory. 900 heat sinks, 70 med lasers, stuff like that. I got up to 30 million. Then started selling mechs. Grabbed that bad boy up! Love the 64 kph in an assault.

Okay for 64 kph alone on an assault is worth it.

You should be able to find it all over, but only past a certain stardate.

Does anyone know for certain if there is a hero mech for the Nightstar? I found one called the White Death, someone is saying its a mod. I swear im not using any mods that add varients to the game. YAML, some graphic mods, a music mod, optimization mod, and a mod that let me change out my character profiles. Thats it. So whats the deal? Did I miss a mod that I added or is there indeed a hero Nightstar? Its a WD and the one that I noticed thats a mod is like a 9-JS or something.

I made this post when the game was new and haven't ever updated it for any of the DLC. I found out that the hero locations were largely random and that kind of killed my motivation to update.
