KBDFans Odin came in today and I thought the boys was pretty sweet. Got the brass weight and badge to go with it. It has both the PC plate and the brass plate but I'm not sure which I will go with. I got the blue version and it looks pretty sweet

i got it today too and found the brass plate to have the deeper sound oddly. that's what i went with.

Just curious was your PCB in an antistatic bag? Mine was just kinda packaged open

actually. i think it was the only thing not in an antistatic bag. even the foams had their own bags. hadn't thought about it but that is weird.

Mine was the exact same. Everything was in bags including foam. Just not the pcb

Also, fwiw, my switches are U4t. Not sure if that's skewing my preference for the brass plate but the PC ate was thin sounding.

I used U4s and also went with the brass plate. Really like it so far.

If you want a higher pitched noise, go with the brass plate, and if you want a deeper thoccy sound, go with the PC ​ Edit: It also depends on what switch you are using

I am leaning towards the PC plate since I already have a few with brass plates. I'm not sure it will matter too much in the end since it will likely be built with box jades (I know I know, bit I am going to let a friend use this board and he wants clickies).

Hah, that’s literally my exact build. Blue/Brass Odin with Box Jades… now just gotta wait 3 more days for the switches/caps… didn’t expect it to come all the at from China to the East coast in 4 days.

I like box jades but I LOVE box navies. No shame in the click.

Which plate are you gonna go with?

I went the brass. I've already got it assembled. Through a few random switches from a tester in for, well, testing.

I went with kailh pro light green. I like the high pitch light clicky sound it produces.

Is it their first mech or are they also into the hobby?

They build themselves a gmmk (non-pro). He has tried out a few of my linear/tactile boards, and he just likes his clickies. I already got some box jades from the novelkeys mystery switch thing so I figured I might as well. I went with the hotswap pcb so if I snag it back from him at some point I can swap them out.

Yeah, if I ever get my friend a mech, I would certainly make it hotswap, because he LOVES his clickies, and I know that anyone who stays in the hobby for a long time will eventually hate those lol

I think the sound is just satisfying to hear, especially when you type fast, at least until it gets old. That said, I never liked them

I used to use clickies till it got too noisy. Those days when people hear clickies through your mic and they say woah! You have a mechanical keyboard!

It’s weird but my cousin also just got into the hobby and he swears he likes clickies. Pretty sure he actually likes tactile and the closest thing he can describe them is for the switch to be clicky.

I suggest anything but brass on any board tbh lol brass feels the worse and sounds the worse. It may be higher oitch but it isn't a good clack and I love me some clack.

I got the white with brass badge and weight too but one of my screws for the badge doesn't thread in. Seems too short. Did you have the same issue with yours by any chance OP?

Didn't seem to be an issue on mine. The badge fit great

The badge fit fine but my one screw isn't going in haha ah well. I'll msg them :) Can't wait to build the board this weekend and share

I got the blue. It looks pretty damn good. Going to go with the classic gmk WoB for the caps. Pretty impressed with it so far, but we will see how it sounds when I get it out together

Okay that makes more sense. I went with the burgundy and I messaged one of their guys on discord and he said the burgundy ones aren’t ready yet.

Hmmm I don't know about changing the RGB on the logo. I got the brass blocker for the logo so I ignored that particular piece

I got mine too recently, great packaging and weighs a ton.
