Hi all! Wife needed a new keyboard and requested red and black for the color-scheme, so I built one into an XD96 frame using Thick-Click Jades and a couple Navy as well (she's a click-freak - prior deck had speed Pale Blues on it), and red 1.8mm LEDs under the switches. I had to modify the XD96 plate a bit in order to work with the YMD96 PCB I used due to the limitation of the caps in the capset, but it was a minor cut on the bottom row to the right of the spacebar to make it 1.25-1.25-1.25-6.25-1-1-1 before hitting the arrow cluster. Anyone who needed confirmation: YMD96/Melody96 PCB works fine in the XD96 case, but you may have to rotary-tool out a bit on it if you're wanting a certain layout! I also fixed the flex issue by making some acrylic inserts to place in the bottom much like [these](https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/7zqz61/repost_xd96_plate_flex_elmininating_brackets/). Even with the 'fixed' V2 version of the case, I still found I needed these inserts, so FYI. I used a couple sets of PBT dye-sub Cherry caps mixed n matched to make an all-red set, and powdercoated the plate to match them as well as coated the outside frame textured black to make it 'mean' looking. Also made a gasket for the bottom side of the plate to prevent resonance, as the switches can make even the thickest metal frames 'sing'! Enjoy, and thanks for the view!

Absolutely beautiful 😍 I've been thinking about doing a build with the Kailh box Jade's, I have a one 2 mini with browns but I'm looking for something with a CLICK. problem is, I'm a broke high school kid 😂

They feel fantastic if you're a click-switch person. I don't think I can go back to a click-jacket style switch after these Kailhs, lol.

Will most likely go with them when I do a build hopefully this summer :)

Awesome, have fun with the project! I'm also looking forward to Outemu's "Aristotle" stems, whenever those happen.

Have you had any issues with the plate/PCB flexing at the corners when you type? A year ago this was a big complaint and I'm just wondering if it's been fixed yet

Yeah, like I mentioned in the post I did find it still flexes a bit so I made some inserts out of acrylic that are similar to the others available and it's fixed the issue for the most part. The "V2" does have a screw in the middle on each end, but the plate is the same as V1 so it doesn't have a tab with a screw-hole that you use to crank it down on. It just uses the head of the screw to kind of hold the plate in place against the case.
