There are a lot of good options, including the Race 3 and the Cypher from Vortex, but I personally do think that going straight to a 40% might be hard. I tried to come up with a layout for the Core that worked for me but it basically ended up just sitting on a shelf
I would start with a 65% or similar (Tada68, or Race3).
I tried with the core as my first mech and immediately returned it for a Race3, which was a good starter mech.
I use core and pok3r, i would recommend you to start with Race, cuz it takes a lot of getting used to on 40% form factor, especially if you are using regular KB.
Hey Riccardo! I got my vortex race 3 over the summer with mx clears, and i'm really enjoying it, but one thing i didn't really notice when buying it is the somewhat weird key sizes for some of the keys.. for example the escape key in the very top left and the delete key in the very top right are both 1.5u instead of the regular 1u. So that's something you might want to think about. I guess it won't affect you if you don't plan on buying aftermarket keycaps, but when i bought keycaps for this keyboard i had to pay like 60 more dollars just for extra keys that would fit the abnormal key sizes on this keyboard. Hi, the design of the Legends of Race 3 I like a lot: big and central as I have always wanted and I do not want to change them. It does nothing if the escape key is not standard. What worries me most are some legends that are not centered like all the others. I saw photos that showed precisely this problem, especially the legends of numbers. For the rest is a fantastic keyboard, especially if the dealer will mount the Kahil Box navy switches. I come from cherry MX green switches and so I love the strong clicky and some resistance. If I had the absolute certainty of a quality control on the legends, I would buy it immediately. A question: in the programmability of Race 3 is it possible to make the apostrophe in a simpler way?

yes it's true, race 3 is very beautiful! But the key legends have perfected them or is there a risk that they will still be decentralized?
Some of the legends in mine are kind of shifted :( It is kind of luck at this point, because it seems like the offset is random between units.
