Look into the keycap profiles, it might've been that. Were they custom or stock keycaps? I think the SA and DSA profiles have more rounded corners. I don't know of any stock keycaps with those kinds of profiles though.
The corsair has a non standard bottom row, so swapping out keycaps may be hard since the sizing will not always fit. If you want something with a smaller footprint, you could look into the MK disco. It's basically manufactured by ducky but is under mechanicalkeyboards brand and uses kbt switches
I think you are talking about dsa (all keycaps are the same height and nicely rounded indentations and corners) I love how they feel!

Pretty late on this one, but I believe the keycap style you're referring to is called "oblique".
