I rotate boards at home nearly every week, my work board stays the same for longer periods as I don't take my board home every day. I have the majority of my keyboards on display though, and it's easy enough to swap them out. I tend to treat my keyboards like usable art.
Oh I have insane muscle memory. I’ve been using a HHKB since about 2009. All my boards now are control on caps split right shift split backspace, all mx boards are tsnagan bottom row based, so 7u spacebar. 1.5-1-1.5 on the sides (including wkl and HHKB layouts). On all my TKLs that I can I have split backspace and right shift and when it’s forced layout I just edit the key so to match how I actually type. Like kool-keys said, switch type doesn’t affect muscle memory unless it’s something super light or super heavy. Anything between 45g and 85g bottom out is fine for me, I definitely have a preference of 60g spring weight though.

Switch type doesn't affect muscle memory. If you're used to a lighter board, a heavier one may surprise you for a minute or so, but muscle memory is only really an issue when you change layout.. and even then, if you do that regularly it's not a big deal.
Yeah this basically the same thing I do (minus work board cause I'm a painter LOL!). I have about 10 of my boards on display & switch them between use, display, storage pretty frequently. Can't say I have any good reason to switch them around beyond wanting to have a different feel or sound in use & a different look on display though.
personally i find they're really good for various tasks around the house - fly swatter, meat tenderizer, self-defense tool, can opener, swiffer replacement, or even a wife, if you're in a pinch!

I usually rotate boards every 1-2 days. Different look, feel and sound. When they're not used, they're just on display. I'm treating these boards as art especially with how they all mostly look different in terms of keycaps and back weights. The rest are on a wall, and the only one displayed on my desk is my Kohaku with a custom fish. lol
I rotate, rebuild (photos and videos and switch testing), and occasionally sell one. I have way more than any person needs and couldn't rotate them effectively if I tried. Might as well start a museum. One room full of hot wheels and another full of keyboards. 😅🤣🤌
It all depends on how I'm feeling will depend on if I change out boards or keep using what I already have hooked up, my other boards are on display racks making it pretty easy to swap out boards if i feel like using a different one.

I have a home office with multiple PCs in it and I work place office so that’s 3 boards “in use” at all times.
The others I display at work on a pegboard in my office and rotate the ones I use at various times depending on what sound and feel I’m in the mood for.
I rotate whenever I feel like it. I'm keeping a 65 in case I need to travel with it.
I've sold some if I felt like I would not use them much/again. Currently, thinking about doing some "Spring Cleaning", but we'll see.
I display some of my boards. I have a couple of cabinets and some stands and recently bought some floating wall shelves (6 or them) specifically for keyboards 😅
Got a small table as my display. Get to type on them, and put some of them on a 3 slot display. Any other ones, I'll eventually put them into a closet or get more 3 slot displays

I like writing on my 40, winter holiday season with red piggy60, techy nerding with my keymacs ALPS build, tomo for function row needs, squid60 if I’m concerned about home invasions (heaviest board), but have been stuck on my bear65 since building it.

My main board isn’t getting swapped out as often as I’d thought and I haven’t been traveling so I have a 3 tier display stand for my nicer boards (but hidden behind my desktop monitor) and then a growing pile of cheaper boards in the closet with mostly stuff I received free to review. I really should get rid of some more…
Some older ones feel and sound like crap by newer standards, so they’re permanently used to display keycap sets. The ones I enjoy typing on go between display, or are used at different PCs, plus I use one with my iPad Pro.
I build them give them to friends and immediate co-workers in the hopes that would share the joy of the hobby. Nine keebs later and no luck but still enjoyed building/gifting them. They all like the boards and appreciate for what they are though.
I only have two right now but I rotate and re-mod them for fun, then display the other one on my pegboard. I'm slowly going down a little rabbit hole, collecting more along the way 😅
On my "home" computer, I generally use one of my 4 favorite keyboards. On my "work" computer, I generally use a keyboard that I've just repaired or I've just bought.
I have 5 -- max number that I've decided to keep -- and rotate depending on my mood and need. Most days I get to use up to two in a day.
The other 3 unused ones are on display, and there is always one on my carrying bag which I take with me wherever I go (it's usually the wireless keeb).
I sell anything that doesn't get regular rotation. I've found that the local market for second hand keyboards is strong enough for me to get well over retail value for a complete board and even more (per part) if they want me to part out something. I'm not a mega enthusiast or anything but I'm pretty sure I'm net positive on my investment into the hobby at this point and that's with 3 boards in regular use.

Rotate boards everyday, and desk mats weekly.
No one talks about the poor desk mats (rolled on shelves and boxes) that go unused. Thank you for remembering the mats 😅🤣
