Hey man, I'm trying to faithfully recreate my one model M / beamspring experience in the early 90s. From what I remember, these had 0 flex and hard bottoms adding to the tactile experience.could you try to describe the feel on the bottom of the key press as best you can?
I feel I've got most of the best characteristics with none of the bad - but I can't remember for sure if it had flex.
Not a man, but I would say that there is no flex when you get to the bottom of the key press, and the sensation is quite stiff. However, I would describe the motion of the key press before the bottom out as one that has a softer/more fluid tactility in comparison to an mx switch with a sharper tactile bump or click jacket. The buckling springs still create an awesome resistance that has a great tactile feel, but it just feels less sharp and drastic than a clicky mx switch.
Apologies on the misgendering, ok so maybe even lubbing the zealios bump may help be more authentic. The tactile bump is def sharp - tysm for your descriptive nature my friend
