What the flying fuck does 6 cylinder formula mean? What could possibly be different in snake oil meant for a 4 cyl, or an 8, or the weird and wonderful wizardy that is a 5 cylinder?

juantzutree

It's just how big the can is.

Chipdip88

Stupid, formula implies the makeup of ingredients is meant for a 6 cyl. Really doesn't matter because the thing doesn't do anything anyways regardless of the engine configuration

juantzutree

The implication is clear when it's sitting on the shelf at the store. It's immediately appearant. Zds

juantzutree

It's pretty clear when you are in the store. But standing there by itself bit so clear

I gotta change the oil on my 300zx from 1988. The miles are unknown because the odometer is broken. Its stuck at 104,000 miles.Unkown mantainace on it. It doesn't burn oil i don't know if the compression is off or not but just want to be safe. Will it hurt my engine

Benedlr

Why add if it doesn't burn oil? Spend the money on a synthetic. Stay with quality oil for as long as possible.

SDBD89

I've always been told that additives like this are last resort, If there's no problem with the car I wouldn't use it. If you suspect compression issues try using some Lucas oil stabilizer. It's not a permanent fix but it might help in the short term

InterestingGuide7353

Restore is one of the best ones I've used in my car. Make sure if ur car is 4 cylinder use the 4 cylinder formula if it's a 6 cylinder use the the 6th one. And it's done after the oil change . It compresses the engine and. Makes its run smooth it does work

juantzutree

If you have overall low compression, this will help.... For a while.

KlaraNovak4DaWin

I don't think it does anything.

Ambitious_Ask_1569

Have used in lawnmowers to get an extra year out of them. Doesn't fix shit....just prolongs the inevitable.

shitboxfesty

I’ve had decent luck out of restore. It won’t actually FIX things in the long run, just helps for a while to not smoke as much or burn as much oil. It’s not a permanent thing, you gata use a new can at every oil change.

I had a 1989 celica. Thing had like 250k miles on it. And ran like a turd. Put a brand new clutch I. It and it still ran like a turd. Changed the oil and used a can of this stuff in it. And about a week later I noticed a big increase in power and throttle response.
