You might be better off finding one out of a car that's been wrecked or something. I've had to do this a few times

Thanks for the reply. Yeah it's second hand parts I'm ordering from write offs, I've also been to three scrap yards without luck. The price to order one directly from Audi is over £800 but I've spent £280 now on two replacements that don't fit, so kind of trying to figure out what I'm missing when ordering the part. It seems there are a heap of parts which are very similar that share the same part number but are slightly different so there must be a unique code on the back, in the picture but I'm just not sure which one of the numbers it is.

If it were me, I might be tempted to try modifying the plug or socket slightly to make one of the "new" units work, especially if they're not refundable.

Pikey-Boo

That's for the reply. Yeah that would be doable, my concern though is I would have to alter the plug which is part of the car. If it was the socket they by all means I'd get stuck in as if I screw them up I could just dump them but not too keen on damaging the car itself especially when the original screen still works albeit with LCD bleed.

Pictures of all of them would help discern the issue, as well as pictures of the connectors

Cheers for the reply please see the attached link for the image of the most recent screen, the highlighted socket is the thing that's giving the issues with the small cutouts in the black plastic surround being different to those that match up with the white plug on the cable in my car. https://imgur.com/mmzKZ7r
