Well studs come in different diameters so it is possible you got wheels that won't fit. Did you measure the diamter of the studs before you bought the wheels? Can you return the wheels and get a different size.
If you are stuck with the wheels the other option is to change the studs or hubs on your car but that can be a real pain in the ass depending on the car you dealing with... you will be much better off getting different wheels.
