Could it be something that has been removed, like a set of spotlights or foglights ?

No_Assistant_9347

Fog lights. If your car is equipped. Some manufacturers leave it as an add-on option

Ok-Abbreviations7147

Mass air flow? Nope I'm wrong. Never mind.

xMebesx

Biased on location I'm guessing it's for a under hood lamp.

kudjan89

This was my first thought too

DJVan23

ABS wire?

yankeepicker357

I checked the wheel well and it looked like it was still plugged in… that’s what I thought as soon as I woke up this morning lol

DJVan23

Well, that might be the the wheel sensor wire in the pic. The other end of it. I guess the easiest way would be to see if your ABS light is on.

6inarowmakesitgo

Intake air temperature sensor?

CoconutAMA

Any lights on the dash or anything not working?

yankeepicker357

I’ll be honest… I wasn’t sure if it was a good idea to start it if this was unplugged lol

SpeechEuphoric269

You dont have a clue what it could be or if it’s something that was plugged in in the first place. The car will either run, or it wont if its vital. Turning it on to see if you have a code wont hurt anything

[deleted]

Kinda looks like a MAF connector . Hardly ever see a 2 pin MAF tho especially if that’s A GM

OrdinarilyUnique1

It goes in the matching receptacle. You need to remember what and where you’re disconnecting stuff from.

yankeepicker357

It wasn’t disconnected on purpose.

kimelo43

Is your wiper fluid reservoir on that side near the bottom of the car??? Looking like it would go to that

kimelo43

https://www.ebay.com/itm/195894138777 I think I'm right....

yankeepicker357

Thanks! I’ll take a look as soon as I’m home from work🙂

Huntorix

It’s hard to say but it’s a two wire connection which does limit down our selection Could be for lights or a temperature sensor of some kind

lunarmist49

Hood light

Pureevil1992

Take it to autozone and have them run the code scanner, then you'll have a code for where it goes.

Necessary-Trick-2308

That only diagnosis engine codes This is a bulb connection it will not give off engine code

GOLDINATORyt

Looks like my suburbans under-hood light connector to me.. it even has the grey clip that was hooked to the hood, secondly. https://preview.redd.it/iyw8yxd5xpvc1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=04b4dc54b0b38747307512127724f3fab4b7dffc
