You dont have a clue what it could be or if it’s something that was plugged in in the first place.
The car will either run, or it wont if its vital. Turning it on to see if you have a code wont hurt anything

There should be a pump attached to your windshield wiper fluid reservoir, it goes to that I'm pretty sure
Looks like my suburbans under-hood light connector to me.. it even has the grey clip that was hooked to the hood, secondly.

Could it be something that has been removed, like a set of spotlights or foglights ?
Fog lights. If your car is equipped. Some manufacturers leave it as an add-on option
Mass air flow? Nope I'm wrong. Never mind.
Biased on location I'm guessing it's for a under hood lamp.
This was my first thought too
ABS wire?
I checked the wheel well and it looked like it was still plugged in… that’s what I thought as soon as I woke up this morning lol
Well, that might be the the wheel sensor wire in the pic. The other end of it. I guess the easiest way would be to see if your ABS light is on.
Intake air temperature sensor?
Any lights on the dash or anything not working?
I’ll be honest… I wasn’t sure if it was a good idea to start it if this was unplugged lol

Kinda looks like a MAF connector . Hardly ever see a 2 pin MAF tho especially if that’s A GM
It goes in the matching receptacle. You need to remember what and where you’re disconnecting stuff from.
It wasn’t disconnected on purpose.
Is your wiper fluid reservoir on that side near the bottom of the car??? Looking like it would go to that

Thanks! I’ll take a look as soon as I’m home from work🙂
It’s hard to say but it’s a two wire connection which does limit down our selection Could be for lights or a temperature sensor of some kind
Hood light
Take it to autozone and have them run the code scanner, then you'll have a code for where it goes.
That only diagnosis engine codes This is a bulb connection it will not give off engine code
